I'm not sure as the Nurse kept banging on about how she would not be able to do the jabs and I was convinced that I had not lost it - just left at home so never discussed any other option with her. I will have to call them tomorrow and see what they can do. It's the only place I have had his jabs done so I hope they will be accommodating.

Hi LD she could be getting distracted, my DS is 7.5weeks & is now so nosey i have to ensure he faces a blank wall. Otherwise all he will do is suck once or twice then stop. However, he is BF mostly, so not sure if this makes a difference.

Congrats Stovetop:) I was just like you and found it quite painful for some weeks - but it got better when i did the following: - nipple cream after each feed lots of it. - 1x Panadol twice per day for a few days - cabbage leaves after every feed and during the night (the feeling of pain relief was amazing with these) My LC also said the following - if the latch on pain was extremely painful for more than 30 seconds then re latch - it does get better, even though at 2 months in i still occasionally feel sore but the cream does wonders

Hi Plumie, which brand of video monitor do you have? mine is Safety 1st, which i had not thought to use yet!:\: but on practice the picture is grainy so wouldn't mind a vote for another brand - as it seems that DS may move to his own room soon ;)

Thanks ladies for your replies, but Meals & barbara19 do you not find that you get up more in the night to check on them because you are not sure if the noises are - standard, or that maybe they have been sick etc...? I just think that I'm up enough during the night now and if I were to put him in his own room - I would be up even more often as I cannot go back to sleep until I know that he is fine. Edited to add: congrats Barbara19 on your new addition :) edited by CheekyG on 14/03/2011

Oh yes - growth spurt it is. my DS had his around 4.5 weeks and I was on a feeding schedule of every 3 hours and it changed to every 1.5 hours - I thought my b**bs where going to fall off! but like Shellly says it does not last for too long. Just remember to use lots of lanolin after each feed to soothe if you need it or the good old cabbage leaf, which was my best friend at that time.

Concentrate on baby's feeding. Is he feeding or suckling?, can you feel the pull and see the swallowing or is he just pacifying in which case remove from breast and give a dummy/pacifier. Hope this helps! Thanks Nutty - last night I did use the pacifier after I felt he had fed enough and was suckling for comfort. I still held him in my arms but the pacifier I feel did make a difference.

Thanks ladies, I just wanted to gage what other very young babies were like - I realise everyone is different but wanted to be sure it was hunger and not comfort so that I know I am doing the right thing. Thanks :)

LMAO - oh Stovetop, you are so me. I freaked big time about the birth and to be very very honest - my contractions started at 2.30 I was at the hospital by 4.15 on Gas & Air by 4.50 and the Epi was in at 7am or just before so my pain really was minimal and I tell you this with out going over the top "I have no tolerance for pain whatsoever" I cry like a baby even for a paper cut! And the pain that I felt before the Epi was bearable but I confess I was scared so I suppose that exaggerated my moaning and groaning. Once the Epi was in my DH and I talked for an hour with pain management man :) as I felt no pain - I even managed to have a bit of a sleep. The only thing I would say is that they did not reduce the Epi early enough for getting me ready to push as I don't think I was feeling the contractions sufficiently enough to push properly. So - with this being my first time - no, the pain is not that bad but I did take advantage of all the drugs :) Goodluck stovetop :)

Guys you have made me laugh so much - Greenish the most but NZ2AD, what you did was what everyone at work thought was going to happen to me :) So to finish the story EDD came and went and I finally went into Labour on Thursday 28th Jan (3 days later). Similar to Greenish it was not the birthing ball that was my friend, but the Toilet! It just felt so comfortable rocking back and forth on it - with the laptop in front of me as I was timing my contractions on it. :) When I finally shouted my Husband to wake up and take me to the hospital he looked completely horrified to see me sat on the the loo with laptop in front of me - moaning and groaning. My sweetness and light (Harrison, Charlie) arrived @ 12.32pm on Friday 28th Jan much to his mummy's relief and we are both well. ;)

I had one done years ago in Turkey and it was pure bliss - although why the ladies that do this thing insist on telling you how dirty you are is beyond me...it makes you feel soooo good about yourself:\: However, my Husband said his experience was awful and he felt red raw afterwards.

Thanks Ladies but I have never slept very well although last night I did go to bed at 8.30 as while eating dinner My DH asked what was wrong as my head was nodding over my plate :) But what really gets me is that although I was really tired last night I still woke every 1.5hrs for the loo :( Aussiepup's comments were very interesting as my Braxton Hicks were non stop yesterday and earlier this week too. They have already kicked off this morning! But I'm seeing the doctor in an hour so hopefully she will tell me that the moment has arrived - I must admit to getting impatient even though I know things will never be the same again and that I will wish for a few hours where I can wonder 'what shall I do today' LOL

Did you stay around the house or did you go out and get those few little things done? Also were you still driving yourself? I'm not having any contractions yet so thought I might drive to Dubai Mall and have a quick look around but not sure if its the best idea i've ever had. DH is at work so no escort for me.

This is what i came up against when I was wanting the same but I did end up going the full catering in the end with YES CHEF, which I was more than happy with. If you search using my username so people from the forum did make suggestions for chefs that might cook what you have prepared. Good luck.

I'm not sure if it is the same here but in the UK Nine West did wider fitting shoes, which are also fashionable and comfortable.

I'm over in Motorcity and we have marbles during the day and night, we also have what sounds like someone going up and down the corridor with something on wheels (just heard it again now!) but at odd times 2am, 3 or 4 am and finally we have pipe banging! But who on earth bangs pipes at all hours of the day and night? This building is just odd. Where in Motorcity are you? I moving there at the end of this month. I'm in Foxhill 2 where are you moving to?

Hi January Ladies and congratulations to 2Blossom. How are the rest of you doing? I'm 6 days from my due date and nothing is happening although I know he is in position and can feel him moving down further during the night. I also noticed that all the previous 8 months has whizzed by, this last week has taken so long to get to Tuesday! and we still have another 2 days before the weekend. Oh well, better make the most of it :)

Surprisingly, although sometime ago I used DHL online as it was much cheaper than anywhere else. If you are not in a rush for it maybe you could contact pickfords and have it placed on a shared container and shipped here. Good luck.

Hello January Ladies - how are you all getting on? Although I want the baby to come now I'm also wanting another few months to prepare myself mentally (lol). Due date is the 25th and it seems so close now - baby is engaged so just waiting until he decides he has cooked enough :) Anyway, best of luck and keep us all up to date.

In the end, they provided all the food and the desserts and the menu was very comprehensive. I only removed the steaks and the 2nd type of prawns because it took me over my budget. But as you can see, I was very happy with them and everyone at the bbq were throughly impressed with all aspects of their cooking, service and presentations and I will definitely use them again.

Hi Ladies Just to let you know that I tried Yes Chef last night for my DH's surprise BBQ and it was amazing - everything was done to perfection the timings were good everything cleared up at the end of the evening and the presentation as well as the food was amazing. They definitely get my vote and I use caterers often as I work for an events company and these guys are very very good. Thanks for the recommendation

Can I ask you ladies how much you paid for your D90's? as I have been looking at them and they are currently doing an offer for 4999AED the cheapest being 4600AED this includes the 2nd lense which is up to 300mm and I wanted to know if this is good value or not.
