You can order online from lots of US suppliers direct yourself at better prices for sure. http://uae.souq.com/ae-en/aztec-secrets-bentonite-clay-5463489/i/ If you are looking for a ready made masque there a are few made in Dubai here http://www.littlemajlis.com/shop/izilnaturalarganbeauty edited by Di@DXB on 11/07/2014

Just like to a caution if using Retinol creams, they are photo inactivated and should not be used in the sun, best used at night. It is essential to use a sunblock in the day. edited by Di@DXB on 11/07/2014

Hello, I have a friend who is looking to make her own products with essential oils and Shea butter. Just wondering where did you get your ingredients from? It would be helpful as she is looking for a supplier if these products. Sorry I am not much help with the small glass bottles. Appreciate your help. Many thanks Its more cost effective to buy these ingredients abroad and ship them in as there are very expensive here, you can find EO in Neals Yard and Organic Foods & Cafe some of the health stores too. If she is looking for a supplier for commercial quantities I do not know of one here as I buy only for my own use, but its probably cheaper to buy bulk overseas as well though. If she is just starting out and not too familiar with the different grades and types of Shea butter and their uses in cosmetics I'd be happy to advise, not all Shea butter online is cosmetic quality, there are many different grades of it. Perhaps she is well versed in this in which case apologies for the explanations. edited by Di@DXB on 10/07/2014

Most of the reports of the riots are bogus. The images that were being distributed are from a previous protest last year. If there was a real riot it'd be covered by national medias and so far I can't find any credible stories. Just the usual pictures of crying fans. I don't think Qatar has to worry (assuming the Qatar still has the WC). You could be right. Looks like Emirates 24/7 got most of it wrong, although there do seem to be credible reports of a stampede from the stadium by fans who could not bear the result, but not to the extent of the mass devastation portrayed in their published story. I thought it seemed rather extreme, obviously the paper did not double check the sources of the story very well. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/riot-police-out-force-across-brazil-national-side-humiliated-7-1-by-germany-semis-1455875 ETA I see they have not published a correction yet although the entire world media is reporting on the bogus social media reports as you say. edited by Di@DXB on 10/07/2014

I think maybe there are some huge underlying issues that are the root cause of the riots... football just being the excuse. You must be right, no offence to footie fans but I have never understood how a bunch of knobbly kneed guys running around with a ball inspires such passion. I must be missing something!

I'm not a football fan at all but this reaction seems a little OTT quite honestly, it's supposed to be a game, surely things have gone a bit too far when there's civil unrest on this scale. http://www.emirates247.com/sports/fifa-world-cup-brazil-2014/brazil-riots-after-germany-runs-riot-with-7-1-fifa-world-cup-semifinal-thrashing-2014-07-09-1.555958

My very pregnant friend has just had her fridge and washing machine pack up after moving. Does anyone know anywhere that is doing good deals. I suggested dubizzle as that's my port of call for everything but she is just not able for a lot of running around in this heat plus she would like goods with warranty. There was a thread recently saying C4 was unreliable, if anyone has any other suggestions they would also be appreciated. TIA There's fridge that's under warranty for sale right now from someone I know who is leaving. [url=http://tnydu.biz/DYhlAD'>link[/url'>

Just wanted to add, in view of your pregnant state, if you are going to Life Pharmacy, take great care on the stairs, they are extremely slippery, such a ridiculous design and I cannot image who would have thought of putting in stairs like this for a pharmacy of all places where you have to go upstairs for all the disability items. They only thought of looks not functionality. There must be a lift there somewhere I suppose, I did not see one but perhaps you could ask. ETA, they should have the pads as Scribs says, I have found them here to in other places in the past. edited by Di@DXB on 09/07/2014

It is illegal Please post the ad here or bring it to the attention of one of the animal rescue charities so that they can report it to the relevant authorities. No one should be breeding dogs in the UAE given the number of abandoned and homless animals there are here that end up getting put down (including pure breeds) Yes these are pure breed puppies, so who should I report it to? I am not sure if I copy the ad over here as I could be seen as helping in the sale of them. edited by Di@DXB on 08/07/2014

My DH tore a small hole in his brand new suit. Can anyone recommend a tailor that does invisible mending? Thanks! I have had invisible mending done at the alterations shop in Ibn Battuta mall a couple of times, they should be able to fix it. Very reasonably priced too, they usually open at 3pm but no idea what their hours maybe in Ramadan, best call and ask. Al Thawb Al Watani Tailors 04 368-5324 The shop is down the service corridor that leads off from the New Look area. You have to go all the way down the corridor take the doors on the left at the end and its straight ahead. edited by Di@DXB on 07/07/2014

It will not spray through an atomiser but you can put the oil in a small glass bottle of the kind the essential oils come in, of course you will need an empty one, but if you get a rose EO for eg you could mix some with your sweet almond oil and its would be extra nice for your skin and smell lovely, those bottles usually have a stopper in them which will let you dispense just a few drops as needed. Make sure its an EO not a fragrance oil.

I went last week around 1pm and there was a long wait for a table (25 or so people in front of us), but I guess it's also the lunchtime rush. That's what I expected, will give it a miss, I went to the cafe in the Address Hotel last week at the Marina and it was so quiet and peaceful, the service is beyond excellent and highly recommend the lemon meringue pie too.

Hi there, Does anybody know of a nice place to have coffee with friends during the day ? thanks Go to More in Gold and Diamond Park....perfect for a chat and close to Metro station too (if you don't drive) or pop into DIFC, almost everything is open. Is More cafe in G&D Park heaving with people? Went last year and could not find a table and the place was so noisy. Have you been this year?

You can get boxes of small brown sandwich bags in Geant and other supermarkets. There are 48 bags in each pack, very cost effective if you want a lot, they are not as strong as the Daiso packs but work out cheaper, may suit depending what you need them for.

How can you send credit from a voucher to another phone (Etisalat)? Is it possible? Other phone is abroad so need to send .TIA It is possible and easy.... Here are the details >>> http://www.etisalat.ae/en/personal/mobile/plans/prepaid/mobile-credit-transfer.jsp I've personally used this service several times whenever friends request for credit while abroad. Normal Credit Transfer Method: To transfer credit with Normal Credit Transfer, simply type: *100*Mobile Number*Amount to be transferred# then press SEND. edited by beedazzled on 07/07/2014 Yes that is direct credit transfer as I suggested already as a solution, but the OP is asking if she can credit from a voucher to a different phone abroad which is not possible.

Other phone is abroad so need to send .TIA You cannot load another phone direct from a voucher wherever it is, but what you can do is load your own phone with the prepaid amount and then send it to the other phone as a transfer of credit. That way they will get it even abroad.

Last August I saw it hit 56 a few times, officially it rarely goes over 50 as all outdoor work is required to stop, and another factor to why its actually hotter than predicted is the published temps are taken in the shade so do not reflect the actual temp in the sun. Always factor in a few extra degrees! You can maximize your ac's effectiveness by keeping curtains or blinds drawn before peak heat of the day and put a reflective film on the glass too to help keep the cool inside. edited by Di@DXB on 05/07/2014

All information you require is available here: http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_discover_dubai_jumeirah_mosque_8329.aspx Or you could call to reconfirm at 04-353 6666 (Sunday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday, 9am to 1pm). Visiting time for Jumeirah Mosque runs 6 days a week from Saturday to Thursday, at 10am. Guest registration begins at 9:45 and the doors close promptly at 10:05. But the OP was asking about Ramadan - there is no mention of Ramadan timings on that link... That's why mentioned their contact # to reconfirm timings during Ramadan!! Actually, what you said was "all information you require is available here".. I was just pointing out that it isn't ... Agree!

Sue, I got in touch with the 7 days reporter regard the children in women prison, as I did want to give fresh fruits and vege to the children so they can know what it taste in real, beside other stuff like a play house and bikes. Unfortunately the reporter told me the prison won't accept stuffed toys or food at all, beside she had so many people contacted her for donations, still she couldn't push more and she kept my contact with others just in case the prison give the word go. Hopefully in these Ramadan days, something magically happen and these children can taste what it's to be a child. I am hoping that something would happen and things could change. Good of you to make an active effort even though you could not get things to the children, its really heartbreaking to know that they are prevented from enjoying fresh produce. Finding that hard to comprehend. Di@DXB, I'm still waiting for a reply from Wafa the reporter, she is trying to solve this matter, I have loads of children and baby cloths still in a very good condition, loads of stuffed toys and blocks, plus the bikes and the play house, the problem is these children are an issue, as the prison manger - if this is the right title - wants to remove the children and place them either with next of kin to the children, or a place that could care for them until their mothers do their time, and thats a reason why no donations are accepted at the moment. It really hard that these children done nothing wrong still they are harvesting what their mothers had sow! For me; I will hold on what I have and keep in touch with Wafa - the 7 days reporter - and see what will come out of this, in my personal opinion these children are the most needy children over here, and thats why they are always in my thoughts. God bless you for your efforts, I do hope they will allow the items to reach the children. Keep us posted. Maybe Wafa could do an article raising their plight?
