Thanks, very useful. As you say not as many this year so far. Just a correction on the timing of the Jumeirah College Winter Festival, its been changed to 11 am to 3pm due to conflicts with other events in Dubai on December 8th.

Be careful your kids don't come across one of these accessories for National Day, wearing it, even innocently, could be a problem. [url=http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/uae/general/vendetta-masks-in-uae-colours-draw-warning-1.1105928'>link[/url'>

If you can't find a parking spot in front by the entrance drive on around the block to the back of the building, first right and first right again, and there's more parking behind. Hope your MIL enjoys, there will be some really unique items for Christmas gifts and stocking fillers there this week.

You have missed Arte for this month but there's another place that may interest you for your MIL, not as big as Times Square but some lovley handmade craft items as well as organic produce at the Courtyard every Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Great thanks v much - where is the courtyard? Its behind Times Square, you take a right immedately after the mall and follow the road around, it curves to the left and go straight on for a bit untill you see the Courtyard entrance on the right hand side. map http://www.ripeme.com/ripe-market/market/3/Ripe-at-The-Courtyard,-Al-Quoz

On past experience it did not matter when each of us exited, but entering Qatar may be more of an issue depending at what stage your residence for there is at. I know that sometimes a wife has to enter Doha with her husband if her visa is dependant upon his status, I would check that out too if I were you. ETA the Qatar entrance issue is dependant upon nationality and varies from one to another. edited by Di@DXB on 15/11/2012

Nakheel own the properties they rent out as they built them, they have an organised office and everything is above board as far as the legalities of renting from them is concerned. You will not need to worry about the pitfalls that you can encounter with other real estate agents as they are the developer. So go ahead

You could paint the cup and saucer in Cefe Ceramique and have it professioanlly glazed there, it might look and last better than painting on one with paint pens.

I'm all for celebrating but not when it causes a public disturbance, the police publish reminders every year that the use of fire crakers is illegal in Dubai but some people just break the law regardless. Personally I think the use of fireworks around residential areas needs to carry heavier penalities and there needs to be more vigillance from the authorities. Its not just the noise thats a nuisance but the risk of injury to those using them and others is very real especially in the hands of kids. I had a group of people adults and kids setting fire to candles and crackers right under my bedroom window at 1am. Zero consideration and typical of the kind of behaviour that prevails.

I have used Ala Al Adeen in Satwa in the past (3 years ago). They were happy to shorten some curtains I had and did a great job. I was having some other new curtains made though and they did all the track installation so maybe that helped. Worth a try. 04 344 9658 Thanks, I may need tracks too so will give them a call. :)

Safa School are having a festive fair on 8th December - I think they're open for craft tables so may be a good opportunity to test your items? :) Do you know the timings for this event? Its on the same day as Jumeirah College Festive Fair, theirs is from 11am to 3pm. Was hoping to fit both in maybe.

There is probably more foot traffic in Festival City as so many people go there on a Friday to shop in the centre, but not all of them are going there specifically for the Arte event, so comparitivley I would say Times Square would give you as much potential as FC because the majority of people are going to Time Square especially for the Arte event. Most vendors I have spoken to actually prefer Times Sqaure as its more dedicated to the Arte market. However you do get a longer time for your table at Festival City. You had better try both and you will know what works best for your product. hth! edited by Di@DXB on 12/11/2012

Skynet is the cheapest to Perth, half kilo is dhs 65 and one kilo dhs115. Just as fast as expensive couriers and the same rate as EMS, they collect from your location and deliver door to door like any other courier. http://www.skynetworldwide.net/

For fancy dress costumes theres Party Zone on the Beach Road, http://www.partyzonellc.com/index.php Mr Bens in Diyafa Street http://www.mrbendubai.com/ Mystique in Beach Center mall also on the Beach Road http://www.mystiquedubai.com/ hth edited by Di@DXB on 11/11/2012

Morning all, The Victory Heights Festive Fayre is taking place today from 4pm to 8pm at the beautiful new Els Club clubhouse within the Victory Heights development. Loads of fabulous vendors so start your Christmas shopping early! I wish I knew earlier :( Me too :( Not to worry, lots more Festive Fairs coming up this month and next, there's the EW event on 24th Nov and Jumeirah College on 8th December which should be a very good ones, plus weekly events at the Courtyard on Saturday mornings, another good place to find Christmas gifts and stocking fillers etc. I bought some really lovely handmade items there recently.

Thanks, excellent find! I see it stipulates that the landlord is prohibited from stopping services and utilities that benefit the tenant, it makes me wonder in the light of what is happening with the garbage collection problem in the Springs and Meadows. Reading this it would seem that the developer is flying in the face of the law.

Geant has a small selection of gluten free pasta and crackers on the organic section, pricewise same as C4. No gluten free fresh bread although they say they have it I have never been able to find it there. Spinneys has no gluten free bread, only a few biscuits and some pasta, more expensive. Chroitrams made a "gluten free" rice loaf, its reasonably priced compared to other gluten free breads elsewhere but how its made or the ingredients are not listed, so would be cautious with Celiac. I know its ok for gluten intolerant. They have very few other gluten free products. LuLu have some gluten free pastas and dry crakers, but no GF bread and prices are about the same as C4. ETA this is only a comparision of GF product availability not a general price comparision. hth edited by Di@DXB on 07/11/2012

We had issues with AAA too, to be fair it was not their fault that the part was not immediately available and we waited a long time, but we were charged for work (possibly accidentally) that was not done when we collected the car and then the same problem came back again within a couple of weeks of the repair when it went back again to be finally done. edited by Di@DXB on 07/11/2012

The Dubai Christimas Festival will take place 6-8 December at the Amphitheatre, Dubai Media City. http://dubaichristmasfestival.com/ That doesn't replace the Madinat Souk Winter Festival, does it? Not the same amphitheatre, I presume? Only I can't find details of this year's Souk festival. Not sure but since the venue is different would think not unless its the same organiser. Lush products are not entirely natural, the henna contains a synthetic ingredient that can cause allergic reation in some people, if you are very sensitive do a patch test before using. [url=http://suite101.com/article/are-lush-hair-care-products-safe-and-natural-a305970'>link[/url'>
