Try to get it in writing and take that copy to the Ministry of Labour ... What could they do if there's no law against discrimatory ads? But why would someone take it to the Ministry of Labour? Who says that we cannot hire who we want and of a particular nationality? This is our right, as long as one is not being rude when they do so. [b'>Do you think that "Fair & Lovely" would hire a black woman as a receptionist? Get over it[/b'>. No I don't, MOL was not my suggestion either.

Dubai Taxi is utterly hopeless; I booked one to arrive at 8.30 this morning to take me to an appointment. I booked it a bit earlier than needed just in case it was late. Got the "Your booking is confirmed" message. So this morning I was all ready by 8.30 no taxi, 8.50 still no taxi, 9.am no taxi so I called them and asked when my pre booked taxi is coming. Oh they say we are not able to send one currently as the traffic is bad. So I ask then what exactly is the meaning of the confirmed message. The reply, “That's just to confirm we know you want a taxi it does not mean we will send one definitely.” So no taxi was ever coming anytime within a timeframe of my booking. Pointless in having a booking system at all if it’s meaningless! I understand they are busy at times but if they cannot send one within a reasonable time of a booking they should at least let us know.

I've had things sent to me over that value with other couriers and not had to produce passport and visa at all, the items were addressed to my home where I received them. It must be just TNT.

You can fly from Dubai to Amsterdam and then on to Leeds airport on KLM, the Amsterdan to Leeds part is on Jetstar I think or City Hopper. The booking for the whole route would be with KLM.

I got met with the same when i tried to make an appt for my hubbie. He had been seen at Dr Michael but was quoted a ridiculous amount for crowns, been told that Dr Madhou is reasonable and doesnt rip you off. Interested to know anything on the other dentist please ?? I was seen once by Dr Christopher when Dr Madhu was away. It was for an emergency broken tooth, he patched it up for me and was very gentle like Dr Madhu.

then get down to Geant, they have the most amazing selection of cress in today, there's regular cress, watercress and some other exotic varieties I have never seen here before such as Shisho Cress, and one that looked so pretty with purple flowers as well all kinds of other sprouts too.

Well the worst that can happen is the fats in the shell will be rancid and they will taste stale or possibly have weevils which are not at all harmful to eat, just make sure there are no weevil droppings on them as the weevil poo is actually quite unhealthy.

if there is no other car involved, go back to where the car was scraped, call the police and they will come to you. Dont even bother wasting your time going to the police station as they will tell you to go to the scene of the the accident if no one else is involved. I wasted about 2 hours doing exactly that, then had to go back and call the police... It must vary from place to place as we were recently told to go to the Police station to get the report as they would not come to us for a car park scrape with no other car involved.

AGREED! Malls on a friday are a true nightmare. Although my nightmare at MOE happened on a Sunday early afternoon. To make a long story short: I was 34 weeks pregnant (recently) a man followed me from one store to another. While at Tenzenis, he approached me, told me a story about how he's a med student, and GROPED my pregnant belly. It was a physical assault, the store clerks did nothing- i walked to find security- burst into tears and after waiting in security office for 3-4 hours while they viewed the footage- they lost him. To sum it all up: "DUBAI". [b'>You leave your home, you will be upset or inconvenienced, or perhaps worse.[/b'> :-/ This seems to be getting more and more true, you wake up in a perfectly pleasant frame of mind and good mood, decide to go out and before you know it something unpleasant that was completely uncalled for and uninvited will happen. I've been remarking on this often recently. Is it just true of Dubai I wonder.

Bio Oil has got some lovely natural botanical ingredients in it too, such as Lavender oil, Calendula, Rosemary and Chamomile Oils, but it also has petroleum by-product mineral oil and synthetic preservatives, if they had not created a conflict with these additives and the chemical base it would be perfect.

And yes that link was annoying! Hate Ali Cafe ads-the last one looks like it was based on one of those awful Egyptian comedy movies BH sometimes used to watch-ugh! Is it an Egyptian brand? No idea where the stuff is from but one thing I do know I'll never buy it purely on the basis of how much that ad has annoyed me! They totally overdid repeating it a while ago in the middle of Masterchef Australia until I had to flip channels every time it came on.

Was looking for the original post too, anyway on the subject of ads the latest one for Ali Cafe is a bit puerile I think. Cannot see the connection between mens' trousers faling down and drinking coffee. As if their last ad was not enough to put us off their product forever with that stupid repeated finger wiggling gesture. I think it got voted most irritating ad. If you want to be really annoyed watch it! [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=109Fik6ZeXE&feature=related'>link[/url'>

Fresh dates are really nice in an upside down cake, same recipe like pineapple upside down cake, just put the halved dates shiny side down in the baking pan instead of pineapple slices, they come out really caramelised and make the cake look very pro. Good morning my fellow EWers my mates my KMFGIDC's ('keeping me from going insane Dubai Companions) Both passports have been found :) Thank you so much for your msgs that kept me close to calm and your suggestions that kept me looking. In the early hours of this morning while ripping apart the whole place and moving around all the furniture, found the passports behind our large wooden shoe cabinet. Background: Couple weeks back DH and I had a bit of a tiff and apparently I'd said I would just up and fly back home. DH Reaction: Hide the passports where I would never find them. (and then totally forget about it of course) News: after 15 incredible years together DH still fears I would leave! Still takes every word I ( rather crazy person) say seriously! Still doesn't get that he is to me....well my whole world so where ever I were to go I would always end up right nxt to him! Now what: hug DH or smack him over the head? Feel like both! Thanks again everyone and apologies for all the drama. LOL! alls well that ends well - hopefully for your DH!

You will find plain gelatine powder in most supermarkets, its in a box usually near the flavoured jellies or in the baking section, brand name is Davis. Its clear powder you can mix with water or juice and your own sweetener. I get it in Spinneys or Chroitram, its also in Waitrose and the Co op. ETA looks like this [url=http://www.google.com/imgres?q=davis+gelatine&hl=en&sa=X&biw=1280&bih=598&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=v61Q_aDKzhWAjM:&imgrefurl=http://trolley.ae/index.php%3Froute%3Dproduct/category%26path%3D8_806&docid=_PhHL6xgvfyrSM&imgurl=http://trolley.ae/image/data/products/9410251021258.jpg&w=500&h=602&ei=4SBlUNrrKZOHhQeGr4HICA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=108&vpy=121&dur=8346&hovh=246&hovw=205&tx=102&ty=137&sig=108541913075795654459&page=1&tbnh=124&tbnw=104&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0,i:120'>link[/url'> edited by Di@DXB on 28/09/2012

I avoid creams that have mineral oil or contain petroleum based ingredients, these just clog your skin. If you also prefer more natural ingredients then plant based ingredients and natural oils will support the skin's elasticity. I'm using a natural serum containing Sweet Almond oil, Camelia Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Thistle OIl, Geranium Rose, Frankincense, Neroli and Rosehip Oil, which I find gorgeous on my skin and really effective at smoothing and making it more supple. which brand is this serum? Its made by Dubai based cosmetologist Shirley Conlon, she is an absolute genius at natural beauty products, you can contact her on her FB page. Do you order the products by emailing Shirley, or does she sell them at any retail outlet here? Serum looks really appealing to me! I am not sure if she has them anywhere retail yet, you can call her or email her. I bought her products at Times Square, she will be there next month on the 12th. I'm sure she can get the serum to you before that though if you want.

Medical reasons aside I think people and places are mostly noisier here than in many other parts of the world, I could not believe the general noise level generated in the malls here when I first arrived. Conversations tend to be carried out at a much higher volume than elsewhere. So maybe you are used to a generally quieter environment, I often find myself wondering why people speak so loudly to each other when they are so close. I was in a changing room the other day and the two women in the next cubicle were literally yelling at each other about the dresses although with the size of the space they were in they can't have been more than a few inches from each other.

You must be really shocked. Both of them missing seems like they have been stolen. You will have to report them lost to the police and in the case of the British one complete this form http://centralcontent.fco.gov.uk/resources/en/pdf/central-content-pdfs/ls01-form.pdf Then follow the advice given here for lost passports http://ukingermany.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/passports/lost-or-stolen/ I expect the Danish consulate has similar guidence on their website. hth
