This is easy to do on the average home computer without the need of a Photoshop expert, if you have a printer you can print them too yourself. All you need do is open the photo on paint, resize it to the size you want, crop the image, select all and copy, take it to a Word doc, select the image, click format tab, change the picure shape, for example to oval to match the locket or add a nice frame, select and copy again and paste as many duplicates as you need on the Word doc. Then print on photgraphic paper and cut out. Easy!

Yes because all of us poor people in economy are just horrible, revolting drunks with absolutely no manners MissFortune.... Obviously I was referring to how busy the cabin is, not the type of people in it. I travel in economy alot myself, (this morning actually) and given the choice I would prefer business or first. I've never heard of anyone that was angry after being give an upgrade to be in a less busy cabin. That goes for crew and customers. Imagine the choice of feeding a family of 12 or 395.... I know what I'd pick. Back to the topic, I have noticed Pepsi is very popular in the Asian/Arabic region. As I don't drink either, I'm wondering.....is it sweeter? edited by flydiver11 on 29/06/2012 I think most foods and beverages produced in or for this region are way sweeter than the same brand product in the West, for example Nestle fruit yogurts here are way too sweet for my taste but in the UK they are palatable.

Can you be taken seriously with curly hair? Is straight hair more professional? The answer it seems is no, a recent Vogue article by Rebecca Huntley entitled ‘Curl Curse’ indicates the evidence is in to suggest that to succeed in the boardroom you need serious hair and that means seriously straight hair! Huntley discusses a theory that women with a certain hairstyle have little hope of succeeding in serious professions such as law, politics and business. She searches for examples and only comes up with women with serious straight hairstyles. Does this anti-curl stereotype still exist? Just do a Google image search for ‘female CEO’ hardly a wisp of a curl in sight! [url=http://www.vogue.com.au/beauty/hair+insider/investigating+the+curse+of+curly+hair,17075'>link[/url'>

They just love making people "register" for things here, don't they? I guess it helps make work for the army of government employees, especially now that they've almost finished with the bulk of the ID card registration and from now on it'll be integrated with the residency visa. We'll have to register to be able to flush the toilet soon. For security, you understand. BTW, anyone hoping that this will make a difference to the number of spam calls and texts they get, not a chance. That's nothing to do with SIMs, and everything to do with the fact that our personal details are sold commercially by companies here. You are so right, its not right that our private unlisted numbers are sold to marketing companies, why do they think we opt for unlisted? This whole excercise is not going to benefit us at all.

No of course it exists! But it's not used here. For a card to be tracked it must have a GPS tracking chip installed, or otherwise tracking is done whenever the card is swiped somewhere. edited by Chocs01 on 28/06/2012 So why did you say "LOL there's no way it's a chip in the ID card doing this. " and more to the point poke riducule at the suggestion that it could be possible and now confirm "Of course it exists." :\: Yes it's not doing it HERE because they're not using it! Excuse me for not being more precise, I'll know better next time hey! My point was some people will believe anything they're told. Hey I only had to google to find out the answer. Sadly some just like to believe the 'conspiracy' of Big Brother watching them all the time. So now you know it's NOT true, people can stop their maids taking them for a ride can't they. edited by Chocs01 on 28/06/2012 You are excused not being precise, the ridicule was unneccessary. As I said people only have to google to find out. It's not exactly hard now is it? Given that you type in that exact query and more than a few news articles spring up. Maybe I should just put my brain in a box and be dumb hey. edited by Chocs01 on 28/06/2012 I was talking about the possibility of the technology so why did'nt you Google it before coming out with a dismissal of its existance before rediculing an idea which obviously now through your Google reseach proven to indeed exist.

Here you go! http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/no-tracking-chip-in-emirates-id-card-eida-2012-03-19-1.449142 It's all rubbish! The fact that they have come out and denied they are using ID's for tracking would confirm that the technology exists to do so even if they are not using it. ETD there would be little point in denying the use of tracking via ID's if it was not possible. <em>edited by Di@DXB on 28/06/2012</em>

LOL there's no way it's a chip in the ID card doing this. There's an article in one of the papers today saying there are undercover police catching jaywalkers. I love the conspiracy theories in this place - hilarious. Someone has been watching too much Mission Impossible. The mobile phone technology is already in use, no conspiracy theory needed. That's a mobile. And it uses the mobiles GPS integrated technology to track. Heck you can turn a mobiles camera on and off remotely. But an ID card? unlikely. Not saying its the ID card for certain if you read what I said was "I wonder, maybe the ID card has a device that can be read by the cameras." So are you saying you know such technology does NOT exist for certain? And I don't think its symptomatic of conspiracy theorist thinking to suspect that such technology may exist, and no I have never watched Mission Impossible :D

Yes it should be open still, but if you are posting a parcel I would never use the post office, not only have I lost so many parcels with the post here but its no more expensive and far less hassle to use Skynet, they collect it and deliver for the same rates of a parcel by emirates post, it goes by courier door to door all you need do is call them to come and take it from your home or office. You don't need an account to use them. Compare the rates if you like [url=http://www.emiratespost.com/frame.do?page=%2Fgpaen%2Fgparatecalculator%2FRateCalculatorController%3FSTATUS=HOME%26language%3Den'>link[/url'> http://www.skynetworldwide.net/

The roads are all on CC monitors so they can spot jaywakers, how they find out who the person is from the camera I wonder, maybe the ID card has a device that can be read by the cameras or possibly the mobile number of the person is detected. That technology is already in use in many malls here.

Car got picked today, my DH went with the guy and there is nobody at the service center which wanted to talk to him, except the head of reception!!!!! He ask him to keep quiet and solve the problem "internal" as its not happening often with them, its the first case in the last 7-8 months. What the #*%# is that? If i will bring the car the next time for service i will get a special price!!!! Does he really think i will give my car again to these idiots ???!!!!! I would not "keep quiet' about this, your safely was not given any priority, you should write to the head office in Europe and report the whole thing. ETA complaining locally will probably only take you in circles with the very people who are trying to cover this up. <em>edited by Di@DXB on 28/06/2012</em>

We have produce visa and passport copy when purchasing, so don't they register the sim at the same time, grrrr this place really annoys me sometimes . it would appear that this is a security measure as lots of people are using sims that belong to someone else edited by ishehere on 28/06/2012 Yes, so what happens to the SIMS that our children use that are registered in our names, and how many SIMS are we going to be allowed to have under this new scheme "My Number, My Identity " Is this going to mean one number per registered user I wonder?

For ALL Sims?? Or just pay as you go?? All SIMS [i'>"Every mobile phone user in the UAE will have to re-register their SIM cards as part of a new campaign to crackdown on the fraudulent and criminal use of handsets."[/i'> All Etisalat and DU mobile customers will have to provide valid identification documents such as passports, Emirates ID cards and residency visas for the re-registration process.

I tried the website, too, and found nothing. From what I read below, they're saying if you don't have a current residency visa, your SIM card will be cancelled? Seems so, if the SIM is not re-registered with evidence of passort, visa and residency it will be cancelled at the end of the deadline. This mean all those who fly in to Dubai for business or pleasure and have no residency are going to lose their SIMS.

Let's be sensible here, if Iran push the button, or drop the bombs they will be impacted by the fall out, as we are really quite close as a country..... That's not what they have threatened to do. They have said they will close the Straits of Hormuz in the event of an embargo, which has now been effected. The response to that situation is what is the concern I think which wikkid & CA refer to.

So you paid for the wheel repair and they admit it was not done? Take the matter to someone higher up in the company. And do not drive the car until they come and take it to be fixed. Keep your receipts and the report as evidence in case the matter needs to be escalted. Sounds like they don't have a leg to stand on but you may need to raise stink to get your rights of course.

They were told to send their families home, register with their embassies, withdraw their cash from bank accounts and change it into USD, and to have a grab bag ready (passports, photos, jewellery etc) - nothing more than you could carry onto a plane.... That sounds pretty serious, when were they told to do that?
