EMS or Emirates Post will be no cheaper than sending the parcel by Skynet, I would not recommend using EMS either they lost many of my parcels and you would need to go to the post office to send it, whereas Skynet will collect from your location and deliver door to door by courier for the same rates as post. I use them all the time to the UK, never any problems. http://www.skynetworldwide.net/ this is a great tip, thanks! can't see any price list on their website, do you have one? sorry for the late reply - I don't have a price list, you would need to call them and get a quote - there is a basic rate band per kilo and addiitional kilo to every country.

When that picture was first added the camel itself had two humps. When lots of people pointed out that Bactrian camels are not found in this region they changed it, but must have forgotten to edit the reflection too. edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 03/12/2011 So that middle camel has had a 'humpectomy'

Citronella can casue neurological symptoms in cats, similar to Tea Tree oil which can be fatal particularly for kittens. And I would not put citronella directly on the paintwork of the car either, it could cause staining. Best get the crystals and put them around the vehicle.

I heard that the Walk JBR will be closed to all traffic for National Day except public transport from 7pm til 5am Saturday morning. Also read signs on the SZR saying parts of it will be closed for a Parade tomorrow. And its already getting very busy, expect it to be even more so by tonight.

If you want to control how many gifts your child will ask for maybe use a preset format letter to Santa, like this one with numbered items. Just print it out and your LO will have fun writing in their (not too many) requests! http://www.intercomsrus.com/bertiethebeetle/pdf%20files/Santa%20letter%201%20with%20text%20and%20logo.jpg_photohse.pdf

As far as I'm aware, air fresheners are not part of the exempted 'damgerous goods' allowed to be carried in hand or checked luggage (like for example, hair spray etc) BUT another way you can get round smells is a little solid perfume, scented hand cream or tiger balm dabbed just below your nostrils... the added bonus of vaseline etc in the nose is it can trap germs before they make it into your sinuses... Thanks for the tips...maybe I could take a small non aerosol pump spray of perfume, really don't think a solid one would cut it if next flight is anything like the last one!

All my previous UK size 14 clothes are too big, so went shopping only to find that all size 14's I tried on today in the shops are too small. I was expecting to get into a size 12, seems today's size 14 is way smaller than it used to be even when I buy in the same stores of my old size 14's that are now way too big. Does not make sense to throw out clothes that are too big in a 14 and have to buy new ones in the next size up. Anyone else finding this too? Hi Di, you're still in Dubai? I thought you were off on holiday!! Got a little delayed but off soon, thanks for asking, hope you had a good holiday too :)

So my question is to those in the business, (airline that is not gas) can I take my own personal airfreshener or fragrance spray to use on board in case of offending fellow fliers, is it allowed? Really don't relish the prospect of being suffocated by gas again for 12 hours next month.

Another option would be to make skinless sausages, I used to make my own back home and found it easier to make them skinless than to fill the skins evenly even though I had a sausage maker attachment on my Kenwood.

I am sure I remember a time when airlines did'nt serve garlic in meals at all, to passenger or crew, I always thought this was due to the garlic smell itself rather than any after effects. I notice that these days airline meals do contain garlic which although a problem for me as I don't like it, I can avoid it by a different meal choice. However what is unavoidable is the way many passengers feel free to let rip like theres no tomorrow. Last time coming back on emirates on a 12 hours flight the cabin was full of people who appeared to have lost control over their nether regions. It got so bad I asked the steward to spray the cabin, he said sorry, I understand the problem, but we cannot because some people are allergic to the perfume in air fresheners! Is this behaviour now a socially accpepted norm on board, perhaps I am out of touch with the times? Not looking forward to the 12 hours flight again next month. :(

I have never seen them in the supermarkets here. I would go and ask the butcher at a shop where they actually make in house fresh sausages, like Choitram or Spinneys, perhaps the butcher could guide you or sell you some skins.

I tend to find that I wear about three different sizes depending on the brand and/or cut. I find in particular with M&S that I will sometimes try a size bigger then my normal size and it won't fit and sometimes I will be able to fit in a size smaller in a different garment. So frustrating!!! Agree, Fail to understand why the industry cannot have a universal sizing standard. They are using tape measures to make the clothes presumably!

Hi Di@DXB, we've looked into this for you the images need to be less than 1.2mb and should jpeg, gif, bmp or png format. Hope that helps! Thanks will adjust the image size if too big, but how do I upload it now it to the Ad. The last I know it was moved to blg 13. You take the underpass from Internet city towards Knowledge village, (passing HSBC on your right and go stright until the underpass on the left lane) after the U/P there a group of buildings on your immediate right, the entrance is by a service road a little futher along, you enter that road and take a right to loop back to the buildings, the Post ofiice should be in the second one along. No 13.

seriously? authorization? Is that only because she lives abroad? I haven't gone to US since 2007 but didn't need to get anything then. It does not matter where you live, any British citizens has to get an ESTA authorisation before travelling to the US or they will not let you on the plane. But US citizens can still just walk into the UK at a drop of a hat with no visa in advance.

In answer to OP's first Question "Any insight on what you do....or if you go to these school/craft fairs and why you don't buy?" Mainly because for me there are just too many jewellry exhibits at all the fairs and they appear to be all the same, not saying yours are, but the way they are displayed makes them look similar, you just need to find a way to make your exhibits stand out from the crowd, besides advertising on FB, Twitter and here which no doubt will boost interest and exposure, maybe try a different type of display on your next craft fair table. Something that looks different to the typical rows of hanging jewelly items on overcrowded tables. I'm sure someone so creative can come up with a novel display that will really pop! Good luck.

Yes, you need to get an authorisation for British citizens to travel to the US, they cancelled the cards you used to be able to fill out on board the plane. go to the website here and put in the details for your application https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

Appreciate all the comments, however, my hotmail is set up under US, and you simply can't just go to the US version by typing it in -- that's the frustration. When I did finally get to the US version, I marked it as using it for my homepage but, guess what, you click it again -- goes back to the local version automatically. So dang frustrating! I had this problem, my homepage is set to US too but it kept taking me to the uae page. The solution on my browser was to shut the browser, clean all cookies and then log in to hotmail and log out, it then gave me a pop up offering the choice of the US or uae page as homepage. Click on US and click on remember my choice. That worked for me. hth

Not trying to be confrontational but I am seriously concerned about these toys; there have been so many reports of serious injury that would make the risk not worth the fun. I don't know your kids and I am sitting here worrying about them using a product that details these warnings [b'>“Only for children ages 5-12 years old. Older children (for example adults) are at a great risk of spine, neck, or head injuries, paralysis, serious injury, death" [/b'> Just Google 'slip and slide injuries' I would find some other kind of backyard fun activity that does not risk life and limb, just my opinion, no offence intended. <em>edited by Di@DXB on 20/11/2011</em>

Many airlines won't reserve the bulkhead for infants any more and often exclude babies specifically from these seats. The new trend is to relegate children to the rear of the plane, even if this means splitting families up, and creating baby zones, there are reports of children as young as 2 being seated alone at the rear of the plane inspite of parents requests to be seated next to their child. Seems many airlines are taking a new tack with children on board, especially those in the US. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204517204577042111627445348.html see article's interactive map of what to expect.
