If you don't find moth balls a natural alternative is Tea Tree Oil, just put a few drops on a cloth and place in with the clothes. Worked so far for me. hth Naphthalene not only smells awful but is carcinogenic too. edited by Di@DXB on 31/10/2011

This is not the kind of “iron” you want to be eating. These intentionally contaminated cereasl are passed off on consumers as containing a beneficial additive while in fact it supplies the body with nothing except heavy metal toxicity! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4b8_1319760343

For the Post Office to track a parcel you will need the receipt of posting and all details. If it was sent express mail or registered they can trace it. Also ask your company if they have received a slip which may have been placed in the POB if the parcel was too big.

Driving up a small winding unfenced high mountain road in a remote part of Greece with sheer drop for miles to valley below only to see a ten ton lorry approaching directly in my face on the wrong side of the road, last image I had was of the huge front bumper. Knocked out on impact and awoke lying halfway down the cliff and saw my car hanging from the only tree on the slope further below.

That is not even lazy journalism - that is **** journalism!!! The entire article is one big quote of things ladies said on here and there are 2 paragraphs written in her own words... I'm sure that "journalist" is lurking on here trying to get her next article done... Not the first article 24/7 has "sourced" from EW http://www.emirates247.com/news/jumeirah-jinns-giving-residents-a-spookfest-2011-04-19-1.382791

Well yes of course its not private on the internet, but surely its still the intellectual property of the author and should not be quoted without reference to the owner at least if not permission. When EW posts come up on Google they are referenced to the poster.

On another note - I would like to know how my comments on the EW forum were PUBLISHED in a newspaper without my permission? After this I will no longer post on EW because I thought my comments were reserved to people who came here looking for advice and information about the region. Now my comments have gone out to any Tom, Dick & Harry who happen to read their newspaper. I thought it was illegal to plagiarize... this is a very important matter and journalists should check and verify all sources before they write such things. If I helped someone else out there to think twice our their kids, then great, but the principle and unprofessionalism from 24/7 really urks me. EW, do you not have any policies set into place for this? This means anything said on this forum can be published without consent? Furious for my last post... Put a standard clause at the end of your posts "Not to be reproducued without permission of the author" That way they will have to ask you in future, although I agree it would have been more ethical of them to have asked you anyway.

You can take your designs and have a child size T-shirt printed in Mercato Mall, its on the lower ground level near the car part exit. Go down the escalator in front of Spinneys and its on the right. I think most of the Kodak stores will do too, but they don't sell the shirts like the one in Mercato. edited by Di@DXB on 22/10/2011

Will they pin it for you ? My dress is way too long and have no one to do this for me ! I have never asked them to pin the hems, I always work that out myself and tell them them, its just a couple of guys sitting there, they do some sewing and some of the work is sent elsewhere, so maybe better to try to work out how many inches the hem needs to be raised and give them the measurement.

Hehe seems like nobody, I would love to go too, but first i want to know who goes there, how many people, what age, how usually this happen etc. People usually just turn up as they feel like on the day, there's no advance registration so impossible to predict how many will attend, most coffee mornings are well attended and all are well worth going to. You don’t say which particular coffee morning you want to know about but I expect most ladies on here are unlikely to give out information on who they are, their ages and what places they frequent. So not surprising that you have not had response to your question. You just need to go along and you will find everyone very welcoming.

Oh, but it's the end of the month (=money is veeeery tight) ;) I just need a bit of yarn, maybe a set of needles. I only knit and crochet by now, I do not own a sewing machine, though I'm dreaming of it... ahhh.. If you don't want very expensive yarn in 100% natural fibre you can get really inexpensive sewing supplies from Daiso. They have stores in Lamcy Plaza, Oasis Centre and Ibn Battuta Mall. Do you maybe know where in Ibn Battuta? It's quite big, for a pregnant lady :p Daiso is at the Geant end, so with Geant on your left you walk on straight in the direction of the exit and its on your right hand side after a few shops. P.S. Not a huge range of "wool" (acrylic type) colours but quite a good selection of general sewing items, not sure if |I saw crochet hooks or not. I was looking for ant repellant, which they also did have btw! :) edited by Di@DXB on 21/10/2011 Haha - i'm gonna find it! When i search google, it seems like a wierd all-round shop. Big? It is quite a walk from one end of the mall to the other, but there is a buggy you can take for Dhs5 if you don't want to walk around. For Daiso park at the Geant car park and when you enter the mall take a right then right again at the supermarket. If going by taxi ask to be put down at the Geant end and when you enter from the taxi dropp off walk straight and very near by you will find Daiso on your left.
