Hi, I'm looking for snow suits, thermals, jackets, preferably Columbia or something really warm for my toddler to wear during vacation to Europe. Anybody selling?

Everytime I buy the brown eggs with omega 3, there is a tiny formed embryo in them! Yuck! Is that safe ? Anybody noticed?

Not comfortable with that at all! Once on a flight a man started taking pictures of my baby right in front of me! Needless to say I was infuriated and demanded he deleted them at once, I actually took his phone and deleted them myself. Felt a bit stupid afterwards but the mama bear turned into a grizzly bear within seconds. I could tell the man didn't have milcious intent, he just found kids adorable but didn't understand that its not okay to photograph other peoples kids. Its lack of manners/awareness that people do mind. He was not very educated.

Till the scary pictures I was taking it lightly, to be honest those scared me a little. I think it was 'The Ring' where the girl comes comes out of the well with hair on her face. She didn't write anything with the picture. Don't know what she was trying to convey or simply seek attention. I'm thinking I'll ask the husband to have a word with his friend. I'll leave the police out of it for now in hopes of her getting the message through the husband. She hasn't exactly done any real harm to me besides being annoying. Thanks ladies.

[b'>The scary photos worry me, especially. Why are they scary?[/b'> They are of her looking like she is screaming and another one with her hair all over her face acting like the girl from some scary movie I can't remember. Maybe she is trying to be cute? Seek attention?

This person I meet at random social gatherings has started to become a stalker. Trouble is her husband is DH's friend. I'm talking about 5 to 6 messages on my phone everyday for the past 4 months without me replying. Sending me scary photos of herself. Her telling people that we are best friends and go way back which is not true. Calling from numbers I don't recognize. If I don't respond she would pester my husband about me. Showing up unannounced at my place a couple of times. Her husband is a sweet guy, is there anyway to break her habit without being cruel? I tried ignoring but that clearly does not work. Help!

I am not suggesting anything. Incidents take place, we can only put preventive measures in place and that was the intention of this thread. If I have caused anybody to take a decision in favour of installing cameras I think I am succesful. I NEVER leave my children alone with anybody till they are not able to come and talk to me. Peace, I'm done with this thread.

I am getting a fixed monthly allowance too but I don't feel insulted. True, marriage is about partnership but there is no right single approach I feel. When we got married we discussed finances and it was actually my idea to have a fixed allowance or budget or whatever you may call it. I had my reasons, a. I'm a crazy spender when I had a job before kids (a very good one) I used to spend ALL of my salary in 3 weeks. DH is a smart finance guy and manages money very well. I don't want to think about grocery bill, this bill and that bill. I myself asked for 3500 for myself every month. All grocery, utilities, gifts, dining out, entertaining, rent,my car's fuel and servicing, dining with friends, kid's expenses, etc are all on DH. My money is for makeup and clothes no questions asked. I did work off and on but DH never asks for money from me. With my fixed budget I get to control my spending habits and have access to a little luxury spending for myself. I would not have it any other way.

My dream play area would have: -nannies or simply staff who are willing to play and supervise while you can have coffee or simply a break -less noise -more toys -a decent menu for adults - soft climbing stuff -a movie corner for adults (I think that's pushing it!) -lego, lots of it -appropriate pram parking space -activities for kids rather than just to leave them alone with toys etc -chalk and maybe walls to scribble on! -messy room/area where kids can create creative havoc and also feel textures etc -Fruit for snacks -mummy pampering area -lots of books

The maid topic again brings back memories of such awkward instances lol. How about her wearing my prized shoes and watch and posing on facebook? That too a cover photo. I had not befriended her but yes I would keep a check on her public profile. Red racy lingerie mixed in our laundry, nice. A man calling saying could you send her over I'm her husband while she said her husband died. Asking my child to wriggle that butt..... Sooo happy she's not in my house anymore. I don't have appetite for that much wierdness lol.

At least she smells nice :D . On a serious note I would check her room. Once I had to get something in my maid's room and I found my nail color, hair accessories and two tops clearly being used by her. If you do find your deodorant there, confront her and maybe buy her the same and ask her to use only that. I am maid less currently and loving it. They are too much hassle. I'm so harassed by the maids that I don't even call part time anymore.

My worst experience was being harassed by this clown at a birthday party. He thought being in a crazy costume gave him a ticket to act nuts. He poked me everytime he was close, embarrassed me in front of all guests by calling me nice fatty, chubby chubby, pink doll, s*&^ mama and what not! It was a small hall and he got hold of a microphone. The horror!

Its different from saving money Sabrina123, its a new word being used now, which basically means to not let saved money sit rather multiply slowly. So I meant the former. I do plan to go back to work I have a new career which means everything is slower for me. Not to mention the child bearing/rearing break so I manage to save from whatever DH gives me each month to spend.

Hello, I'm looking for paper cups and paper plates in pink that are striped or have polka dots. The party shops don't have them, moushi.com and another online store party souq.com have them but not exactly what I'm looking for. Any hidden gems I'm missing out on?

Glad to know I'm not alone! Trying to control my spending, not fun :( I make lists of things needed and then prioritize. Strangely when I write them down, lots of things seem very unnecessary and silly like the new complexion highlighter when I have one already ;( I've also asked my best friend to knock some sense into me when I get deluded and think that I married a Sheikh :p

I agree with Marroosh, if you've met the right person and it feels right then why wait? Our courtship was 5 to 6 months too and then we were married. No regrets of any sort. Is there something else holding you back?

Bateel dates are lovely gifts as Gentle suggested. Love the boxes. Another interesting gift is saffron from one of the local shops perhaps in malls as it will be nicely boxed. Am too in the process of getting gifts for family abroad and Bateel is on the top of my list. I will take a perfume or two though. There is a perfume shop on ground floor in Barsha Mall (don't remember the name) with really good prices. I also like the Turkish/Arabic tea sets with small glasses as gifts. Happy shopping !

Thank you everyone for sharing what you do with your toddlers when it comes to using gadgets. Daza you are right I think the husband fears that DD will be addicted to it once the traveling is over. However it is true that it can be managed. I think I'm going to brave up for the 16 hr flight with a small bag of distracting toys, silly things my DD likes. 16 hrs....Gulp! And that's only one way! But tiny eyes staring at the iPad massive screen makes me worry considering the fact that she loves my iPhone. Great suggestion about filling it up with her favorite videos. Thanks everyone :)

Is there a parent who can claim to have kept their toddler iPad free? DH doesn't want DD to use the iPad even on long haul flights. I agree but the long haul flights are a bit scary to imagine without it. We have never bought the iPad for the same reason. Any success stories?

This reminds me of the day my dad got such a scam call about winning a significant amount of money. My dad says to the guy on the phone, 'really that's great news what a lucky day! I want you to have ALL of it, go ahead enjoy it and have a great time.' Needless to say there was a click at the other end. Haha

Not sure if it was Midwakh, something else or tobacco ( I honestly don't know we have been smoke free a long time now). All of us have done some pretty stupid stuff as teens but there were always adults concerned and taking measures to protect us so this time it was me on the other end being concerned.
