Oooh! I'd love to hear about foundation for yellow undertones as well! I believe MAC does those. Haven't checked though.

Celticcavegirl, which primer do you use? I have just used Sephora's primer, it's a transparent gel and it's brilliant! However I got it as a sample with Benefit's Porefessional, which is a skin colored gel, I haven't even opened yet. The Porefessional is said to be good for pores, but it has a powdery finish, and feels slightly heavier than Sephora and less silky than Sephora. One word for Sephora's primer: Smooooth! However, I'd still like to know which one do you use, if you'd part with the secret. I'd be interested to hear about BB cream too. Have read rave reviews of Garnier's and Philosophy's. I tried Philisophy at Sephora but it's like paint! edited by Chocobella on 03/03/2013

I had the same question a year back and I got the same replies. Bought last year and this year as well and haven't regretted a moment. I only wish there was some app to check which outlets are listed that we could use on our phones rather than carry whole books! Also, would be great if they could have a list cuisine-wise as well. Other than those 2 gripes, brilliant!! Go for it, you won't regret it. :-) Except the calories!! ;-)

Okay, I found something that works for me and may work for someone so I am mentioning. I get brown stains that line my teeth and cleaning up is required twice a month. A few months back my husband picked up a free sample of Colgate Optic White that promises whiter teeth. It has granules in the paste, and I use a motorized brush and I am very happy to report that it works brilliantly! It's not the cosmetic procedure kind of white, but a brighter shade of pale (bless you Annie Lennox!) But the biggest place it works is the brown stains. HUGE difference, almost gone and NO BILLS!! I am a very happily smiling woman now.

Her weight loss is impressive, but look at the pic with her heavier cutout, her arm, she is only 28, that arm is of an old woman! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2281027/Josie-Gibson-admits-shes-terrified-piling-pounds-poses-naked-photo-shoot.html Something did not work. She has absolutely no muscle at all. Not good at all. I'd look for a workout that works to 'lift' our skin as well, and that happens with muscle. You can lose fat, but can you 'lift' your body? That's the kind of workout I'd look for. I think Jennifer Nicole Lee would be a much better option. Or Beebers. edited by Chocobella on 22/02/2013

If it was a free service, then the question of rude or not rude could be a possibility. Even then it is upto the client if they are inclined/ have time for it. I always ask if I have to pay for it, if they say yes and I don't need it I tell them so. Never felt rude. Just factual.

Hugs Beebs!! :-) What would I give for 'small breasts' now LOL!! :-) Thanks for telling me the place. Indeed smaller breasts mean less/no estrogen. Simpleasabc, although it is indeed through my experience that I speak, I in no way am saying all chicken in the shops is pumped full of hormones. I am just trying to get to a chicken that most likely will be free of hormones. Mrs.b I live in an apartment, no chance of rearing chickens in my balcony. :-(

My bad simpleasabc. I meant chicken, which is organic, and hence not fed hormones. I've had a bad spell with definite estrogen overdose with chicken I am buying at the moment. Boobs shot out of my current size to 2 sizes up and I was permanently bloated, weight shot up as well.. Stopped it and within 3 days I have shrunk all over and weight down. And to think I was trying to get a weight reducing high protein lunch. Gave me a right fright.

Amy this has seriously made my life SO easy!! I eat completely different food to my family and I have to usually prepare 2-3 separate meals at every mealtime. This takes care of mine in a jiffy!! I am seriously amazed! Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes but your posts did egg me on big time :-) Thank you! Cake is next on my 'to try' list.

I have found everyone here exactly like this. The day they need you for something it's all hunky dory and mwaahs all around and when they don't, they blank out. Especially your kid's friends' moms. I've been quite confused with this attitude but I've learned that this is how Dubai is.

I have only bought small stuff from there but I always find this store unwelcoming and staff disinterested, bordering on rude. I have asked about color choices for a table and the staff went and never returned, later I saw him talking to another of his colleagues not bothered at all. They couldn't care less. edited by Chocobella on 10/10/2012

Some 6 years back, I was struggling to find bras that fitted. The best fit I found was 38DD because it fit me in the cups. But the strap would be at my shoulder blades and my boobs would be at my waist. I cannot begin to tell you of the misery, I felt like I had no waist, I was malformed. Years were spent in misery. THEN, once while looking for an exercise bra for big boobs I found Bravissimo. I can tell you hand on my heart, Bravissimo changed my life! I turned out to be 32GG. What did that do for me? I found I not only have a waist, I am a gorgeous hourglass. This is not to boast, but to tell you that a well fitted bra can make you see your body the way you have never seen it before and most of all, value what you have. A few months later, I went down to 30GG which I still am. When I lost weight some time back, I went down to 28GG. In some brands like Cleo by Panache I am a 28H. For years I was miserable and even though I would accept how I was, I was acutely aware of how I looked to people. And I hated it. Not my body, but the fact that I couldn't do anything about it. Till I found Bravissimo. TDK would be the place to start. There are several online stores apart from Bravissimo that sell UK brands like Panache, Freya, Fantasie and Curvy Kate and some are very cheap. I buy them online as I find TDK significantly expensive. Good luck OP. Don't despair because help is well nigh. :-) edited by Chocobella on 02/10/2012

I've looked at all the previous threads and I am more confused than when I started the search. I had a look at Dragon Mart rattan outdoor sets and almost bought one. Then went into Rattan House and totally lost my heart. The price diffrence is staggering! But so is the look and quality. Can anyone please help? How durable are the sets from Dragon mart and Ace compared to Rattan house? Are Rattan house prices justified? The guy there told us the furniture has 3 year warranty and could last upto 7-8 years. Anyone corroborate that? Any other place you could recommend? Grateful for your help.

This is about The Emirates Grand Hotel deal for Massage and pedicure from Groupon. When I called them up to book a month in advance, the male receptionist scoffed at me for booking this far in advance. Something came up and I called them to cancel the booking, I was told there was no such booking :-o On the day that I had made the original booking, which did not exist when I tried to cancel it, I get a call from them asking me to confirm my appointment. WT.. Then tried to take an appointment a week in advance and was asked immediately if it was a Groupon voucher. When I said yes, I was curtly told by the South African lady they were fully booked till the end of August. Okay. Tried again after a couple of days and I was given an appointment for the day I asked. On the day, walked into a really really shabby place, waited about 20 minutes before being led to another shabby 3 seat area for 'pedicure'. Pedicure was done by the South african lady receptionist, who was downright scary in her demeanor. The pedicure was hurried, and definitely not what I had in mind. When I mentioned she hadn't scrubbed my heels pat came the rude reply, "It was a 30 minute pedicure, not a full pedicure, I am already doing more for you". She did a quick and terribly shoddy job, half of it in fact, rest of the 20 minute job was done by my Thai masseuse. Back home I checked out the deal and it clearly says 'Pedicure with or without polish', nowhere was it mentioned it was 30 minutes Pedicure. Consider this link: https://www.groupon.ae/deals/dubai/Emirates-Grand-Hotel/6934043 Saving grace was the Thai masseuse who did a decent job, though I've had better, but she shaped and filed my nails before she applied nail paint that left out a nice gap between my nail and it's bed, so that my toe nails looked wierd and really really tiny. I had to spend another 25 AED to get nail paint re-applied a another place an hour later. Oh and while the pedicure was being done, there must have been at least a dozen people who popped into the area peeking at me because someone was showing them around. I'd recommend staying away from this one. edited by Chocobella on 10/09/2012

Shaks, you are right, one must go for the well known companies, but it's usually the new or not well known businesses that are more likely to give out vouchers. Unless we try, we wouldn't know which is which is though. I missed the Juan deal sadly, I had already bought the Hair strings one by then, buy in haste and repent at leisure! I'll be looking out for Juan's deal, seems to have a great reputation. If more people share their experience we should all know which companies/services to avoid. Hugsys, I feel you! Must be terrible! I'd have much rather paid full price and get a good service than pay half price and get **** service and rude lip! Dentro, I am still fairly new to the city but I think there is a Fast Maids that sends you girls for 2 hours. 04 228 2244. I usually get a boy from them though.

Hello there Mrsbrown nz! I have an Ikea leather sofa and I have bought a cleaning liquid in Ace near Ikea. It's a spray bottle. I think you can find cleaning stuff both in the hypermarkets like Carrefour and Geant as well as in ACE, with possibly more stuff for cleaning and maintainance of leather furniture in ACE. Hope that helps.

If it's skinny ones you want, Espirit have a fabulous style. I find them perfect, low on the belly and high at the back so takes in all the wobbly bits from around and gives a lovely shape. Got them from the Festival city outlet few years back. They might still carry that style. edited by Chocobella on 18/06/2012

Al Fresco in Crowne, cramped and can mess up big time. We ordered a vegetarian lasagna and were served a beef one, the manager, a lady at that time, was not apologetic, didn't seem to care. She made it look like we were being a nuisance. Carino's, beautiful bread! Lovely food, but the Festival city branch doesn't seem to want customers. They seem to want to throw you out should you dare to enter after 10 pm. There is a new oldish guy there who was downright mean to us, lied to us that the kitchen is closed and could not make what we wanted when it was NOT closed. Mamma mia in Marina is a lovely place too.
