I visited and it was fine but I did not like the fact they do have arabic and french lessons every single day, lady who was showing me around said its a compulsory requirement from ministry but all other nurseries I visited so far (British Curriculum) have arabic or french lesson once or twice a week only edited by CitronKB on 24/10/2013

I was leaning towards City Select so thank you so much for responses, I also feel P&T second seat is very low and I prefer CS. My dilemma is whether I need to buy second seat kit at the same time as pram? I understand second seat is suitable form 6 months plus so first 6 months we would use only Maxi cosi car seat as a second seat anyway. TDB are you getting second seat also? I think basinet is not so necessary, specially here in Dubai it's not that cold so I think newborn will be fine without it. TBD- ,Word on the street is that Baby Jogger will be stocked here soon' what did you hear, which shop Just Kidding? Also this might be cheeky to ask but could possibly someone who owns City select already let me 'test drive' it for a few minutes and more importantly I need to check if it fits into my car boot! I would much appreciate it. CS cost 425 pounds on John Lewis website plus 150 pounds for second seat kit, I cant seem to find info on Maxi Cosi adapters? edited by CitronKB on 03/10/2013

New Look in Ibn Battuta has a large maternity section...not expensive. : / not anymore, New Look has discontinued maternity clothes in whole Dubai, I was there today and asked about it, shame as they were good and reasonably priced edited by CitronKB on 08/09/2013

we did Safa market during cooler months and it was very long busy day but worth it for us, no theft at our table, made over 2500dhs...be prepared though-get there early, pick good table in a shade and bring trolley with you so you dont have to carry stuff for miles

"If the receptionist of the school (the first person most prospective parents would come in contact with) is speaking so poorly and unprofessionally about the new owners, then maybe that same negative attitude will be shared by teachers, head and so. Sounds like it has the potential to become a toxic environment. " well it seems they are looking for a new one...

also recommend Kyra in G&D park, their website/FB has all the info about baby earpiercing we did my DD ears when she was 4 months old and they did great job, in my country its normal to have baby's ear pierced, they actually do it in hospital when they born before you discharged. Kyra recommends to wait for baby to have their 3 month vaccination before they do it

Thank you - getting nervous at the prospect but I hope its a viable thought! I recently had bed bugs - tried for weeks to get rid of them (fumigators, hoovering etc) then last week, I hired a steam cleaner, on the advice of another poster, and presto, they have gone!! DDs and DS not bitten anymore! So in thinking, no harmful chemicals, a British run company (where we will turn up and with excellent customer service), this area plus general deep cleaning at an affordable and not overrated prices. So, in essence and for feedback, I would like to give 3 ladies a free (as the business has not obviously set up yet) trial. I have engaged a website company so all in all, fingers crossed. Please let me details if you wish to avail this offer. No company name is being divulged, well certainly not here as not allowed. happy to avail trial and give feedback on your services, how to contact you?

To the OP- wondering how your swimming lwsson went? Did you enjoy it? just came back from first swim lesson at Wafi I liked the facilities, pool was great, location good for me, free valet parking with HSBC card-very handy swim instructor IMHO was not as good explaining proper techniques or demonstrating how to do things with babies, just comparing with my previous baby swim experience so I can see the difference in teaching, basically I think she did not explained things very well specially for first timers, since I have done one term of baby swimming already I new what to expect and followed technique explained to me previously

Oh M1, I feel for you. You must be exhausted as well. Let us know how it's going. I'd love to hear about anyone's experience with moving LOs to their own bed. We've had so much luck with the cot Im planning on keeping our DS in his until he goes to Uni lol. I agree with trying to wean your LO off the bottle. It will make them wet more, and they need it for comfort. Maybe give it before quiet time, so they have time for a nappy change and don't associate it will falling asleep. [b'>Start adding more and more water to the mix, until they don't ask for it[/b'>. Or even substitute a cup or sippy cup? It's a lot of sugar on their little teeth whilst they are sleeping. Good luck x can you do this with formula milk too? to add water to water it down?

Thanks CitronKB! I called Mom&Me in DCC right now and they said they only have Axiss and PrioriFix car seats? I asked the lady 3 times but she insisted they dont have Pearl! So weird, but then again in Dubai sometimes the phone service isn't very helpful, maybe she just didnt understand what I was saying?! Going to go today or tomorrow and check, calling stores here sometimes is useless! unless they sold out? I bought mine yesterday morning....better to go in person also ask if MCC have them in stock as DFC didnt have any

Thanks CitronKB! Have you found a good deal on the FamilyFix base? Apparently the Pearl can only be used with that, no seatbelt! yes I do use Familyfix base, already using it with Pebble, true Pearl can only be used with the base, Mom&Me had also deals on the base but I do not remember how much, best to check with them...also Babyshop had Familyfix base on sale some weeks back, might be out of stock now but do check
