DD still not getting noursihed and having to top up her feeds with formula... :( lumps r going, yay, which is good... and the all 4's thingy, was cool, but then my bak ached after a while, lol...and DH walked in and almost cracked up laughing, bless him. :D

ladies pls reassure me... have been having latching issues over the past few days, which i have now rectified.... as a result of soreness, i think i have a build up of milk on the left breast, and the whole breast is a little tender...normal so far, yeah? ok, so tonight i was feeding and massaging the milk down and i felt a small egg-like lump....obvious freak out ensued.... and connotations of lumps panicked me have since found another lump in the same breast but underneath....is this a build of milk, or should i go to the doc to check 4 cancerous lumps....i will b checking anyway to be on the safe side, but in the meantime, need some clarification... thanks in advance x edited by Clever Bubbles on 31/03/2011

THanks for the suggestion clever bubbles, you are indeed clever! I can still make the payment, it's not that serious. Just will be a strictly budgeted month so if there had been the option of saving the few thousand by way of a payment holiday I wanted to know! :D (gloaty gloaty!)

can be points and/or impounding plus fine. parking? then probably not impoundment.....but word of advice, pay asap, as they will add 50dhs per (cant remember if its per day/week/month) after the 1st 4 weeks that you have a fine. PLUS, if you dont pay and u have outstanding fines on your car, if the police, for ANY reason, type your car registration into their machine in the police car (say if your badly parked, whizzing past or just for pure nosiness), if they see an outstanding fine, they r allowed to tow the car away....AND you get charged for the privilege! :) i was impounded last year (dont ask!)....and this was the advice that the rather helpful policeman gave me..... RTA by MOE is pretty stress free, so go there :) good luck x

went into mamas and papas in outlet mall, and the staff were quite honest in that they sell reject stock from otehr stores in dubai....e.g. returns, faulty items etc.... obviously this may not be the case for other stores....but thought it was interesting.... not the same standard of outlet malls back home though, sadly x

sorry to hear that....is there anyway they'll reconsider? can they transfer the offer from another branch??? tbh, depends what ur looking for.... but if u have kids, perhaps get your cv out to schools for learning support work....again, depends on wages you r expecting, but could work well in your favour with school hours...??? school r always looking for good lsa's...

POSITIVE experience u say? :P actually, was in mothercare at moe today and the guy who i registered a gift list recognised me by face and came bounding over....helped me get stuff off the shelf (i'm rather short)...chatted and even had a joke with me, whilst waiting for the (rather slow) cashier to process the order. nice :D

Can I give a teacher perspective here? Teachers are well aware that some parents do children's homework for them, and because of this, (speaking for myself here) I am always quite guarded about giving feedback about homework, unless I am certain its been done by the child. I certainly don't ever give marks for homework for this reason because you really don't know how much input the child has had into their own work. This may be me being a bit idealistic, but I would rather a child wasn't doing a piece of work to please me, but was doing it because they were enjoying it, particularly when it comes to big projects. If a family has worked with a child to complete a piece of work (not done it for them - there's a difference!) and the child has enjoyed what they've learnt, then I'm delighted with that because children learn better if learning is done in partnership with school and home. i fully agree! there is no value in the child getting the work done FOR them. working TOGETHER to generate ideas, problem solve etc is way more better than following mum/dad's instructions on how to do it...and dont get me started on work that is PERFECTLY spelt, grammatically correct....when this is not their normal standard....all they r learning at this point is how to follow instructions, take dictation and rely on others to think FOR them.... as if we dont know! lol

Am surprised to see where the US is on the list.....!!!!!!! but also noting that the top ten have fairly small populations,....which would therefore affect their percentages and shove them to the top of the list, despite other countries may be (my assumption) more diabetics? ??? UK is 199th on the list.... i am from UK arrived in UAE and diagnosed HERE as a diabetic,....so either UK are slack in diagnosing...or i am a fat knacker and UAE has changed me..... or maybe money/insurance is a factor.....?-UAE no object to assess and claim off insurance and therefore help patients....and UK have NHS budgetting issues and more reluctant to spend money to test??? ????
