Hi Dallydoo Thanks so much. I had a scan this morning and the Dr confirmed that I have now completed the miscarriage naturally (this happened over the weekend) and therefore I wont need any more treatment in that respect thank god. He was very kind and I am relieved that he is keen to start again next cycle as I dont have time on my side. He is confident as it happened easily this time but I am prepared to just keep trying for however many tries it takes. Felt very down over the last few days and completely broke down very embarrassingly at the scan but am keen now to just try and get positive and back to it. Cant tell you how much the kindness on here has meant to me. Was so lovely that you remembered. They say the 2 week wait is bad but the last week has been horrific. Thank you so much x x x

Oh and also meant to say that I am trying to heed your advice on the other thread abut the internet - it's driven me to distraction it really has. Evil tool (apart from expat woman of course!) ;) x x

Hello Barmy - thanks for your message on the other link. I didnt want to hijack yet another thread particularly with my situation! I'm better today thanks. I have just over a week now until I know if it's eptopic and if I just have a straight D&C. Have been in a bit of a state until now but I have to pull myself together and think it happened once and it will happen again - even if I am pushing on a bit! Everything happens for a reason and all that. Ironically my HCG levels went up when I tested yesterday but the doc says still a non-progressor but I still have to take the progesterone etc until 13th which in itself is making me feel a bit yuck. Equally I hate my job which doesnt help but at least it takes my mind off things with the frustrations I face! Never mind, we will keep trying and trying and I know we will get there and have our little healthy bundle. I have not other option but to try and remain positive. I am back to my vitamins today and eating the right stuff and as soon as I know what the outcome is/next step back to accupuncture. Thanks so much for asking! How are you and your lovely little brood to be! ;)xxxxx

Thank you so much. I am ok today and believe there is a reason for this - there has to be. I just need to get to 13th and then take the next step. I cant tell you how much this support means to me. Such kindness. Thank you x x

Thanks Dallydoo. I really hope so. They do say good things are worth waiting for - look at Barmy Army on her 4th round and now with twins. That's inspiration in itself. Good Luck to you too. Thanks again for the support.xxx

I've had some horrible luck over the last few days and I can honestly say that whilst I have felt lonely at times being away from my family I am astounded by the kindness of people - not only on this forum in general. A nurse I met yesterday who was taking my bloods just hugged me and told me she would be at St Marys praying for me this weekend. Life can be cruel but people are in general very kind x x

Thank you both. I think I have to wait until the 13th so that it is one month fom transfer and I guess the earliest they can do anything. I also have to have a blood test on Sunday which did raise my hopes slightly (foolishly) but he told me there was no hope. The worst thing is I have to keep taking the progesterone and have no symptoms of trouble just today I have started to feel sick which feels a little cruel. Dallydoo - what you said actually does give me comfort as it is the only thing that is keeping me going. We did it once and were so lucky for it to work first time I guess it was too good to be true. I have to hope it will happen again. Thanks so much. Think I even need a glass of wine tonight. Not touched anything for over 6 months in preparation.xx

Thanks so much for your kindness. I spoke to the doctor today who told me that I have to wait until the 13th for a scan to see if eptopic and take it from there. Am praying it is not as I fear that will make my chances even less. Please keep everything crossed for us. Thanks everyone - cant tell you how much this support means. I am sure we will get there x x

Thanks so much. I just need to hear what the doctor says now as am totally confused as to what has happened. My own doctor just said that it wasnt good news and that I needed to talk to the IVF clinic to find out next steps. I feel like all I do lately is wait for calls! I may get in touch with you when my head (and eyes!) are less fuzzy Barmy. Am just praying that this doesnt mean it will never happen for us. Thanks x x x

Hello Dallydoo Well I was delighted to get my BFP on Saturday! However, my HCG levels were low so had another test on Monday and they still hadnt risen much at all which is very worrying. I have had another test today and nervously awaiting results to see if all is ok. If not then I get back on the IVF wagon but I so hope I dont need to. Please say a little prayer for me and very best of luck to you - masses of babydust to us both x x

Maybe it's a good sign - am praying and just want tomorrow over with now. SO so happy for you though! What a dream! :) Gives me hope if we do have to go again.....Thanks for asking! xxx edited by confusion on 28/02/2012

Thanks nixwilson. I had the test today that was about 47 hours out - forever hopeful that the one hour made the difference in it only going from 31.8 to 36.7 :( and am hoping that when I go back on Wednesday morning it has at least double. I so so so hope so. Thanks x x x

Thanks! You are right and as you say it is still only 12 days. Yes I did a pregnancy test this morning funnily enough and it's a definite positive and I guess the doc did say that at least it is still rising. I just dont know what to think right now. Probably because I keep thinking that I have been too lucky so far. Also very concerned about my age and wondering if this has anything to do with it. Your scores are fab and after 4 attempts you so deserve this! I just have to keep thinking that it's still a positive and the preg test was also a positive so maybe just a slow starter and it is early days. Thanks so much and baby dust back to you x x x

Well had my test result and now really worried. It has only increased to 36.7 (from 31.8) and she would have expected it to double in 48hours :-( I have to test again on Wednesday. At least it has increased I guess. Please keep everything crossed for me. My et was on 15th so perhaps still a little early. I hope so.xxx

Hi Dall21. I have just done my first round of IVF and am due to test on Saturday so am very excited/nervous/hopeful. I hope that I wont be joining you for the next cycle but I may well be....I want to say that I was terrified about IVF as really knew not a lot at all about it. However, I have come through the whole thing really well and can honestly say that through all the procedures and injections/drugs etc (which I found to be absolutely fine) the hardest part is this 2 week wait. I had my treatment at Conceive and I have found them to be amazing however, everybody does rate the other clinics here too. I was mostly worried about the egg retrieval and it was fine! I felt nothing as was sedated. I didnt even have pain afterwards. The transfer is also fine - a little like a pap smear and over in a few minutes. Please keep the faith as I am trying to (I hope I feel the same on Saturday) as I have had so much support from other ladies and there was a lady on here yesterday who had a BFP after four attempts so her determination has really ended fantastically. Good Luck and please keep in touch! Lots and lots of babydust to you x x

Hello. I have just finished my 1st IVF with Conceive. I have a very low AMH but they still managed to collect 4 eggs and fertilise 2 which both the Doctor and us were very pleased with, I know people who do not have a low AMH and only get this result. I am afraid I have no idea of the difference between long and short protocol. Basically I started my simms, then had ec after 10 days and then et 2 days later. I am now just waiting and praying like crazy. I was devestated re my low amh (0.2) but my response indicates it is still possible. If not for me this time I will keep trying but please god I dont. Wishing you the VERY best of luck xxx

Hi Ladies. Thanks so much. Well what a whirlwind. I went for my EC on Monday (you were all right of course - it was fine - well apart from the supository - ouch!) and they collected 3 viable eggs, however as my progesterone level was 1.6 and the cut off is apparently 1.5 there was a question mark over whether they would be put back or frozen until next cycle. I was asked to call the clinic this morning and boom I was called in this afternoon for the Egg transfer. I have had 2 out of the 3 eggs fertilised and put back and now I just have to pray pray pray! It does seem a very quick transfer but once agin nerves got the better of me and I didnt even ask the lovely (and they truly are) staff at Conceive why it was so quick. I think I feel relived to have gone through the whole process now so if I did have to go through it again which I so hope I wont I at least know what to expect. Thanks so much for your support ladies and it really does warm my heart to hear the success stories.xxx

Hi WB72. Many thanks for htis. Funnily enough I just read something about Natural IVF and was wondering whether to ask about it. Now I definitely will (if I need it which please god I won't). I am almost 41 and i had a blood test by my doctor which indicated a low AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone = basically your egg reserve) and all they keep saying is that I've reacted well to the drugs given my age and my low AMH (am really beginning to hate those words lol). Thanks so much. Very best of luck to you. It would be great to hear how you get on. I also hear Natural IVF is way cheaper...is that true? Thanks!

Sadly due to surgery a couple of years ago I am left with one ovary and all four were in there with one more but not of a great size so am still hopeful! I apparenty have a low AMH (which is basically low egg reserve which I guess makes sense due to my age) but they seemed to be happy that I managed 4 follicles so who knows! Trying to be so positive but aggh it's so hard! I will definitely go armed with my questions and just pray I even get to ET stage. Am trying to do at least 3 litres a day of water so hope its helping! Thanks again - you are truly blessed :) x x

Wow Shinynewpony. Thats such lovely lovely news. CONGRATULATIONS! I have absolutely no idea which method they are using (how bad is that of me?!) as nothing has been discussed. In fact whilst the treatment has been great the information really has been minimal and therefore it's upto me to ask all these kinds of questions - once I know what I should be asking. Thanks for the great advice. I pray that I get to the transfer stage and will then do what I can to try not to stress but taking time off works seems not possible right now. Will just try and take it as easy as I possibly can and hope and pray that the get a good egg or 2 tomorrow. I only had 4 follicles on Friday but still hopeful. Thanks so much. This really si a rolercoaster and as I am 41 the encouragement has been quite vague! Thanks so much and congratulations again x x x

I hope all is good with your pregnancy. :) Shinynewpony & ivfuae - may I ask if you have had any success at all? I am a little older and struggling to find some positivity right now as keep getting told how low the success rates are at my ages. Not great whn trying to keep positive. Hi Sorry for nipping in on this thread but yogachezzers and Eva can you please recommend what kind of yoga would be best for me as someone trying to conceive and going through IVF? I cannot go to the Fertility classes at Zen as I work but want to do an evening one in Town Centre (or weekend) if possible. Any expert advice wouldbe very gratefully received. Thank you!

Maplemini. Thank you so much. I really really hope that 40 is the new 30. I am so anxious and so hopeful and your words mean a lot. I keep being told to not stress out which is so impossible in this situation and even my mom just says what will be will be and she is normally so positive that it makes me think she secretly thinks I am too old. I so hope not and am praying so hard that this will happen for me. So did you conceive with IVF and then naturally? How lovely and what a nice story. :) Thanks again.

Wow - thanks so much. I thought I would go into this with a determination not to let it get to me and take over my life and already I am obsessing and I havent even started the treatment yet. I have had to stop buying books etc and am really now just trying (desperately) to chill about it but how hard it is!! These posts really help me and Niggly Congratulations on your pregnancy!! :-) Am so glad to hear your comments as we have drastically changed our diets for the last month and cut out alcohol and caffeine so really doing all we can healthwise. Even me who is generally a low carb girl has gone full on for wholegrains, fruit the lot as was horrified to hear how bad a low carb diet can be. My DH will be tested early next week and I had surgery last year to remove fybroids and have had tubes etc checked and am told all ok so fingers crossed now for DH. Am trying everything possible re diet! Holly - you give me such hope! :-) Thanks so much ladies. I am really trying not to keep obsessing about this with my DH and as it's quite a private thing (ironic that I am saying this on a forum for all to see) we havent told any friends so this is such a great outlet for me and so much appreciated!'
