Hi, Pantene does tend to dry out the hair and make it coarse n brittle. That's been my experience with Pantene. My hairdresser recommended Bed Head TIGI shampoo and conditioner and it seems to be fine. These products are available at most salons. HTH..

hi, the bus fees is 2400 aed from marina. they would send the bus coordinator details and we can speak to them and confirm the bus timings. The 1st one week would have to be parent pickup and dropoff. This is probably to help the child settle down better and get used to the school routine. What i had to purchase was just the school uniforms and the PE dress. Didn't buy the socks as its a standard dark blue socks, or a school bag. Books will be given in the classrooms once the school starts... HTH

hello jcheema4.. am going to the school this morning to buy the uniforms, will try and get further details on the bus routes and charges and timings from Marina. My lill girl starts Year 1 this Sept and its very reassuring to hear positive feedback about the teaching standards. Reckon that the school communication goes to the primary contact person so you may want to confirm with the school if they have your correct contact details. HTH..

Really really sorry to hear what you are going through but this too will pass my dear. Hang in there and stay strong. Easier said than done but our prayers are with you and your lovely boys. Being an Indian can totally relate to in-laws and their blinded affection to their sons !!!! You may wish to consider family counselling. Not sure if it will go down very well with your in-laws and husband but well worth the try. Have you shared your feelings/discussed this with your parents/siblings, or maybe someone your husband trusts completely like a good friend ??Perhaps they can help find the real reason behind the changed behavior. Take care and wishing you the very best.

Hi AnonDubai, Thanks soo much on your advice about the tablet. Glad to know that your DD is doing better with this. My DD doesnt wheeze so the docs havent diagnosed her to be asthmatic as yet. I guess this medicine also helps in persistent cough. Finges crossed!!! Frizzybusy -- can totally understand what you must be going through. Really hope our DD's recover and grow stronger. Shjbelle-- many thanks on the vit c bit..will try that also.

My lill girl( 4 years old) has had consistent bouts of cold n cough ever since she was 15 months old. Back in London she would start off with cold, cough and then the dreadful ear pain would set in. I think my poor baby has had enough amox/augmentin to get immune to them. The docs back in UK said its common for babies to get ear infections once a month bcoz of the freezing climate. After moving to Dubai the ear infections has definitely gone down but whats set in the persistent bouts of cough...Starts at Viral Fever and the cough just lingers n lingers... Am sooo very upset and perplexed on what must be done to help improve her immunity and resistance. She loves water but cant swim. I have even tried homeopathy but i guess its not that helpful. Now her doc has suggested that we try SINGULAIR paed chewable tablets!!! Have any other parents tried this tablet ??? She hasn't been diagnosed as asthmatic but am soo worried on where this would lead!!! She's a lovely girl but as parents we are worried sick about her health :( :(.Everyone tells me that as she grows her immunity would develop but i guess i am just freaking out a bit more !!! any suggestions/advice on what i can try and do to help her gain resistance/immunity. thanks

Hi...i think Meena Bazar or the Gold Souk in Deira would be a better option for branded handbags(rip offs)...Ideal would be to get there in the morning hours. Best is to go by taxi during the day time. Most of these places are closed for lunch between 1pm and 4.30pm..Parking is a nightmare so cabbing is a much better option Happy shopping

i would give it a shot. Well worth the try, when the opportunity is v v good. Am sure there are lots of nurseries where your lill one can go. It can be v v tough initially but we women are a super resilient race. I did it and didnt have a nanny... Good Luck :)

Hi...Try Dr. Rajlakshmi at the American Hospital. Haven't been to her but do have loads of friends who have visited her with various problems and she has been fantastic. I guess the wait time is about a month for an appointment with her but in case of emergencies her office is able to accommodate. Take care n good luck ..
