Hi My DD only ever took 4 bottles during the day, she slept through the night from little over three weeks. When I started to give her lunch she gradually cut her lunch feed out... so at lunch time I just start with her solid. I started to wean her at 4months, I started with all the normal veg, carrots, potatoes, butternut squash, green beans, cougettes, pears apples etc. When she got to 5months i also gave brocoli, peach, cauliflower, swede.... For lunch now I am giving her chicken casserole puried up, so maybe 2-3cubes of this and 3-4cubes of veg... I give her fruit in the morning and in the evening after her supper...this consists of 1-2cubes of pears/apples/peaches/banana etc...

Hi I am currently giving my DD a bottle first thing, she will take anything from 5-7ozs, then I will give her some cereal I was using Organix but she doesnt like it. I recently changed to Aptematil and she is liking this much better. For dinner I am giving her 5-6cbues of veggies, I have recently started to give her protein so will gradually reduce the veggies and increase protein. In afternoon I give her another bottle again she will take 5-7ozs, then about 5.30 is her dinner which is rice, I had been givin her Organix but will try another brand as she is not fussed... or is there something else I cud be giving her. THne at night I give her a bottle before bed, ususally around 6-7ozs... I just dont know if all this sounds alot or not enough. Please advise

Hi Ladies, I have just returned to Dubai last night, my DD was due to return to Emerald City Nursery but the manager just told me this morning that there are no more places for her age... Very disappointed as was told last month there was places and to make contact on my return to arrange her starting back etc...she was attending Emerald City before we moved back to the UK for a few months at the end of last year, Now her name is on a waiting list here... I need like to get her into a nursery as I am returning to work, we plan to live in either JBR or Springs.. Please can anyone suggest a suitable nursery so I can contact? Please also let me know if you or anyone you know have children there? Thanks Ladies... (Not a great start to my return to Dubai)

Hi Ladies, I have a 3week old DD and her eating patterns are a bit strange. I express pump and feed her this way, she will take 4-5ozs at each feed. She will feed ok during the day but then after her last feed at night which is somewhere around 10.3-11pm she will then look to get fed more or less for a few hours, sometimes lasting into 3-4am... When she eventually settles she is grand and will sleep ok to her next feed. Has anyone else experience this? Why does it only seem to happen last thing at night? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ladies, Thanks for the replies.... No she has not been unwell and is teethin a bit, she hasn't got her molars yet. Sometimes I try and sit with her and eat my lunch and other times like last nights dinner I was just feeding her alone. She is still eating but its fruit, yoghurts etc.. cant seem to get her to eat her daily carbs.. the day starts off very well, she will eat her breakfast no bother which is usually weetabix/fruit, readybreak/fruit, museli etc, mid morning snack is also fine but then lunchtime comes and its a complete no no.. Do i continue trying to feed her the food I had been or should I be trying different things all the time in the hope that some of this will go down.. I have tried putting potatoe, veg, chicken etc all on a wee plate to see if this will help but most of it ends up on the floor and I just know she has not ate enough for a lunch/dinner.. Yesterday I made pasta and a cheese sauce for lunch, tried feeding her she ate a few mouthfuls then it was mouth shut, for dinner I tried sweet potato diced and sweetcorn.. again wud not eat the sweet potato and picked out the bits of corn... not what i would call a dinner.. Any ideas on where to go from here.. Am i being too fussy? Its only stressful because there was a time she would have eaten everything in front of her and looked for more... Thanks again

Hi Dubaimaman, I highly recommend Dr. Anwar.... I have been to medcare on numerous occasions for vacanations etc and have had a few different docs (one or two that I found very rude) and i think this doc is so helpful and nice. He was always very thorough and explained everything to us that he was doing.... he gave us his mobile number to call him anytime. After seeing him once the next time I was there he came over to me in the waiting room to ask how my daughter was since he had seen her last and he remembered what had been wrong with her... I cant recommend him enough.. HTH
