Good Evening Ladies I am pregnant with my third baby, I had my first in Dubai at Medcare Hospital, I went back to the UK to have my second and I am planning to have my third here. I wasn't entirely happy with my Dr at Medcare and felt I was made to have an unnecessary emergency section (mainly i think because I had to medical insurance at the time and was paying in full). For my 2nd child, I had very straight forward normal delivery at home and would ideally love to have a normal delivery again. Can anyone recommend a doc at Medcare hospital, one that will encourage a normal delivery and please share your own experiences. Thank you <em>edited by corinnad on 17/03/2015</em>

Good Day ladies, My washing machine stopped working two weeks ago. i called a number that I found on here for a repair company in Satwa. They came that day, collected my machine, called me the next day and said it needed a new drum and they could replace for a cost of 550.00Dhs so I said go ahead. They brought it back the next day and it was working fine. A few washes later i notice that one three things inside of the machine is now hanging off. (Sorry dont know name of item!!) I called them back, they collected my machine and said they would mend. They returned the next day and were very quick to try and leave. I made them wait until I checked it. The job they did at attaching the thing back on was very rough, so bad I told them it would prob damage some clothes. The delivery people said they werent responsible and to ring the office.... I rang the office and then was told they didnt give me a new drum the first time just repaired existing one and this wasn't their fault as they didnt touch the inside of the machine. I argued that I was told I was getting a new drum but got nowhere in the end. Then after another few washes this item has come off again...I have tried to call them every day since Sat and first day they said they would come Sun. They never appeared. When I called they wudnt answer, so I called from a different mobile... again i was told the next day. I am still waiting for them to come... but am so angry that they have done this I feel determined to keep ringing them... but feel sometimes I am wasting my time. Has anyone any advice for me on what route I should take.... Thanks

Thanks Android to IOS is a pain in the b*m You can transfer all contacts via outlook and music is done through I tunes I transferred everything onto a memory stick from I Phone and then onto my Samsung There is information online that can help him Good Luck edited by sarahlou123 on 08/04/2014 Thanks Sarahlou123 but I am going the other way... I need to save all data on Samsung and move to Iphone. Now when he puts the SIM into iphone only some of his contacts are there. So he can not figure out which ones are there and what is missing, and how to ensure he has them all copied... Hello Ladies, I took out Medical Insurance for myself, Husband and two girls with Daman last year. I only had to visit the Doctor once thankfully in the last year. I got my renewal quotation for the year and it has gone up by more than 1000.00Dhs, is this normal? I am going to price around, can anyone suggest more Insurance Companies.? Thanks Ladies

Hello Ladies, I have registered my Daughter at Regent in The Greens and obviously paid the 500Dhs fee. I got an email from them today asking me to bring my daughter to an assesment next Monday or Tuesday at set times, i was asked to choose a time and reply by email. Then i was told there would be a fee for the assessment of 600Dhs??? Is this normal or what exactly is this 600Dhs for? Thanks

Dear Corinnad I used them in January to book a one way ticket from UK to DXB prices were 1000AED cheaper so I was wary. When you book, they don't send you a confirmation directly, they email you back to see if they can honour the price quoted, which was inconvenient as I was watching all of the other flights go up in price even more. I received confirmation and then they asked for a scanned copy of passport to verify identity and a copy of the credit card with the last 4 digits hidden. Again an inconvenience. Nothing happened for 24 hours and I was travelling 48 hours later so I had to call them (premium rate number of course) and spoke to some one who quite quickly processed the flight. To be honest the whole booking process of them verifying the price and then my ID was quite stressful. It depends whether you have the time and patience and are willing to chase them. When you called them was the flight then processed without any problems? I have read about people being charged additional charges on their credit card after the booking. The flights I am booking for arent until end of March but I dont want to be waiting for days to get the confirmation and as you say watch other airlines prices go up. I dont understand how they cant honour the price at the time of booking. If they reply after 24-48hrs and say they cannot honour the initial price can I then cancel the whole booking? Thanks

Hello corinnad, yes I've used them to book several flights last summer and they have some good deals. My travel agent friends in the UK recommend them. They have their IATA licence and have been trading many years. Book your bargain with confidence :-) Hi Sushifee Thansk for reply. After I posted this I did my own searching online an found alot of negative comments....now am very weary of them... I am booking four flights to Perth costing over £3000.00 and once i seen the negatve reviews this has put me off.... Are you certain they will be ok? What kind of bookings did you make? thanks

It looks like you need a new battery. Call the Samsung no 800-7267864. On your battery there will be a number. They can order it for you. edited by fjcruiser on 26/01/2014 But when I disconnect the charger from the laptop and only plug the charger into the wall it is still blowing the trip and all sockets will blow. So this is why I am thinking it must be charger and laptop problems???

Is she in a room on her own? At that age my children have all slept much better sharing with a sibling. Hi Yes she is in her own room, has been since about 6months old. Her only sibling is 3years old and I just think they would completely play-up if together. She was a great sleeper until Xmas time....

Hi Corinnad, I use Chloraseptic Spray for sore throat: it is for children aged 3 and up. It comes in 3 flavors: Cherry, Orange and Grapes. You can find it in most pharmacies. It is quite effective, but if the sore throat last maybe you will need to take her to the doc. Hope she will feel better very soon! Hi Flowerhead....is this one that you spray onto throat and the child is supposed to leave it there for 15secs then spit out? Thanks

maybe go see a Paediatrician Yes I will take her if it gets any worse but I was hoping to not have to do this as I am sure they will just write me a prescription for an anti-biotic.. Any natural remedies that may help??

Hi There is a sign at enterance saying about a Halloween party at the Montgomerie Adress between 5-7pm but I was kindof hoping just to go out from door to door.. I have put a big orange poster on my front door to let people know to call at my house if they wish... just wondering are other people doing somehting similar in their own Springs? I been to Vietnam..Myself and my husband traveled on the back of a motorbike with two locals from the south to the north. Took our time and it was amazing... something I would recommend to anyone and would love to do it again. We met an english couple on our first night in Saigon and they had just travelled from the North down and we sat with them for a few hours and they told us all about it. We were a bit unsure so the guys who owned the motorbikes suggested we spend a day with them around Saigon and see what we thought.. we did this and loved it. We set off the next day and enjoyed every minute of it. We paid them $30 per day, this paid for food accommodation and their fees. I still get emails from one of the drivers if you want their contact details...

Hi Ladies, I am starting to run out of ideas for things to do with my one and two year old (18 & 32 Months) As its getting very hot and I am not able to be outside I have visited most of the Indoor Play area's near to me...while they are great I would like to maybe do more stuff.... Last week I took them to Dubai Dolphinarium.... Can anyone suggest other places I could bring them... I had thought of cinema but I just don't think my 1year old would be interested and wouldnt sit in a chair to watch a movie. I live in the Springs and drive... Any suggestions greatly appreciated... Thanks Ladies. I have the air-con on in my bedroom I just dont want to have it on in the babies room. Beany, where did you buy your combination humidifier and air filter? I only have a vest on them at night and when i go into check on them they are very hot and hair stuck to their heads they are sweating that much.... I will go invest in a humidifier and see if this helps at al....

Hello Ladies, I moved to Dubai in January and I have my two children (My eldest will be 3 in 18th July and baby will be 2 in 23rd September) I currently have them at Golden Beach Nursery..as I work full-time. Hi I have my kids in nursery the four days per week while I am working. But my husband works long hours and sometimes it is 9/10pm when he is home. I would like someone a few hours in the afternoons /evening and weekends...not to be a nanny and look after my kids but simply to help with housework. If I was to pay an agency maid this it would cost alot of money per week... It is possible to get a maid on a visa on a part-time basis?? What are my options at this stage? Thanks
