There's nothing to fear, you have done no wrong (apart from writing your post as though it's a song) I am deeply worried about the status of Daz I fear she has fallen, alas, alas Daz is the one who does not have dairy and the others too are silent, it's so scary Who will you be on your next time with EW? We once had a Geordie, more famous than you And those are tales of EW legend, folklore when one approached EW with worry and awe

My friend took her nanny of 8 years to the UK on holiday. The nanny got on a train to go to the shops and was never seen again. Well, not quite, they have station CCTV footage which showed her meeting a man and getting into his car. Clearly pre-arranged. I think that it's very common for that to happen: one friend of mine went to Sweden with her maid and the maid disappeared within 24 hours. Another friend took her maid to Paris for the summer and the maid 'fell in with a bad crowd' whilst they were there and would meet with gentlemen in hotel rooms for an hour at a time... The worst though was another friend who moved back to the UK and was able to take her maid with her permanently: the maid hung around for about a year before disappearing with much of the contents of the house, and was wanted by both immigration and the police. Apparently she is now back in dubai  ETA I think the cost is entirely justified, and am kind of surprised it's that low... (Can't you quote just part of a post any more????????) Anyway - that's very worryng that this person is now in Dubai again and potentially working with another family!

When I declined a new loyalty card at MMI because I'm leaving permanently next month, the guy who works there said, "Oh, we'll miss your good custom" I don't buy THAT much! :( ha!!! good one... it conjours up mental images of them reorganising their stock ordering system to compensate, after you leave  :win:

it's not just the length of time on the bus, you also need to consider the roads the bus will use on that route. It's not just an hour but it's an hour on roads that are possibly unnecessary? I guess it depends on your situation and reasons for doing this trip but that is a long daily journey for a child if it is not a necessity.

You can buy rolls of sticky plastic and cut it to the right size, I think you get it in Ace and C4, I asked about it on here before. It looks good if you can get it on without bubbles! We ended up not doing it as the white colour was too white but if that was ok for you (or you can find somewhere that does different colours of it!) then it's such a good affordable way to change your whole kitchen. It would only cost you about 500 AED for a whole kitchen Though if you are talking about actual wood rather than laminate then this may not be best.

Once you enter on your entry visa, you or whoever is processing your visa will have done the typing for your Emirates ID card and your Medical. This printed paper for Emirates ID has a bar code on it and you can use this (make copies of it) to process your Driving License etc, once your visa comes through. You don't need to wait for the physical ID card, but you will need to wait for your UAE visa (which will not take long now that your entry permit is already processed).

Hi, I have a question regarding expired visa. Let's say your visa expired in Jan, you left the country without cancelling it, can you enter Emirates after 4 months again? or will you face some difficulties...? It was under husband"s sponsorship. husband managed to cancel his and left, but she was out of the country already when it happened.. TIA Husband can't cancel his without cancelling his dependents - so chances are it is actually cancelled. You can call Immigration and give the passport/visa number to check.

If you stay out of the UAE for more than 6 months, your visa expires automatically. This is not correct. It may not be valid any more but you will have problems re-entering next time you enter. The best thing to do is to courier your passport to UAE and have it cancelled properly to ensure no entry problems next time.

I choose Kcal based on the fact that you don't need an initial consultation and can get going on it quickly.

There was a hen, we called her Pru, she looked quite sad one day Her owner said 'what shall we do?' with quite some dismay Never fear, EWers said, we have a way to solve Just put and egg under her feathers, and see what will evolve So the OP went to Pru, and gave her the little pressie Yet little did the OP know, inside was a small Nessie When the egg began to hatch, Pru was all excited with a ruffle of her feathers, she pranced around delighted but when the cracks appeared, little Ness emerged with scales Pru was never seen again, as she ran across the dales And so dear OP when considering this action Be sure what is inside the egg, in case you may cause factions

The Rotanas all do 'brunches' every evening. It probably depends if you are asking about a nice dinner that has an entertainer offer, or a dinner inc alcohol. Have you had a look on the entertainer site?

It is the same anywhere in the world with living next to an underground station or under a flight path somewhere - after a week you don't hear it. It's amazing in Mirdif with people living directly under the landing flight path as the planes are SO low and noisy but people genuinely say they can't hear it after a week or two. Some of the Imams have a really nice tone as well so even if it is loud it may just blend in to your everyday life!

VictoriaM, maid taking huge amounts of luggage, salary advances to pay for the luggage & not bothered about how much it is going to cost her, and her cat????!!!!!!! I'd be smelling a huge rat if I were you, of the maid-not-returning variety!! Haven't you already had problems with this maid? Be watchful from now until leave-time.

Joc, I'd report this to Al Ameen. It could all be perfectly innocent, but then again it may not. The police will have CCTV of the area and be able to see what this guy is up to.
