That sounds good and I would definitely like to see it. Can you let me know the contact person's name or the address so I can make an appointment for viewing. Do you know from when it will be available?

Please look up Leaves Dubai on Facebook. It is a support group and speaking from experience was of great help to me. They gave me good advice and definitely steered me in the right direction. Good luck!

Hi Caroll I agree with the other replies. You are going to struggle to find a good nanny from outside of Dubai. Effectively you are going to be leaving your daughter in the care of a stranger...........in a new country. I am a single mum of a seven year old girl myself. I work till 2pm and am happy to help in the afternoons. If you are interested let me know and I will send you my email address.

Brilliant Idea! I went to a "Leaves" meeting last week and it was great to speak to people in the same boat as me. Despite my wonderful supporting friends, I often find on weekends, when it is mostly family time, I could do with another single parents company. Let me know how you would like to go about it. I am happy to help.

I currently stay in a 4 bedroom villa in Umm Sequim and would like to renew my lease in January. However I can only do this if I can share with another 2 single mums or find a family. Alternatively my daughter and I will have to move into an apartment. Hopefully I can find somebody to share or find a way to earn a living after 2 pm to make up the rest of the rent. So to answer your question.....yes I would like to share the villa. In the process I could also help take care of the chilrden in the afternoon.

About two months ago I saw massage beds being sold at Tschibo in Mirdif City Centre. Try them!

I am very keen on doing this in the afternoon. As a matter of fact I was wondering if there weren't any families that were willing to share a villa with somebody like me that can collect the kids in the afternoon and take care of them, drive them around etc. If anybody knows of a family that would consider this, let me know. I have a 7 year old of my own and work till 2 pm. We could all benefit from this situation.

Thanks for the reply on all of this. I am divorced and was wondering about the same thing. My ex husband contributes to the rent but I will definitely have to consider sharing with somebody. What if the rental is on my husbands name but I am the one living there? Is this still considered subletting. I am ideally looking for another divorce with a child to share but have no idea where to advertise and taking a chance.. How on earth does a single parent survive in Dubai? Sorry ZVictoria86 for hijacking your post (-:
