Don't know of any in that area, but PT's on average charge 300 dhs per session. Usually if you do a package of 10 it's 2,500 dhs. Thank you! :) I will keep looking.

Thank you ladies for all your replies. I have made an appointment with Dr in Emirates hospital but it's not for another 4 weeks!!!!!! I guess all the good doctors have long wait times! I must phone back though and ask to be contacted if a cancellation comes up....never thought of asking that!!! Thanks again:) Is this with Dr Sama? If so do you know she also works at Emirates Hospital Clinic in Dubai Marina. Might be worth ringing them to see if there's any appointment slits available there. Yes it is with her! Thank you so much for that info, I will phone marina first thing in the morning to check!!!! Thank you again :)

Me too!!! I would love to know about something like this! I really need something like the weekly weigh in to keep me motivated and on track! Weighing myself at home doesn't have the same pressure ha ha!! Please let me know if you find one and if I do, I will let you know!

Hi ladies, I have been referred to Dr Annett at Mediclinic City Hospital for further tests by my doctor for breast pain. However, the next available appointment is not for 7 weeks which seems like a really long wait for Dubai??? Does anyone have any experience with Dr Annett? Does the waiting time seem right? Is it because she is very good?? Should I just wait for this appointment because she is good? Or can anyone recommend another breast doctor they have used and felt was good. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Gracie, I'm sorry I can't offer any advice on the two you mentioned but I do have personal experience with another. We recently used DGFC (dubai gynaecology and fertility centre) in Healthcare City for an IVF cycle. Doctor and nurses were lovely and very professional. No waiting like back home. We found it a much better experience than previous ones in the UK. If you need any more info, just ask! :-) Good luck! :-) Thanks for your reply. can you please tell me which doctor did you meet there at DGFC and approx. what was the cost of the treatment. Was it including the meds, scans etc. We saw Dr Wael and he was really really lovely. Explained everything really well and always asked if we had questions. We needed ICSI which is more expensive than straightforward IVF because it involves a lot more tests/procedures/meds. It was 45,000ish inclusive of everything for us (we had LOTS of tests/procedures in the lead up to treatment that not everyone needs) but if you call them they can give you a rough idea of IVF procedure cost. It used to be on their website so you could check there too. From what I remember scans are 400 each, bloods roughly between 150-250 depending on the one being done. It's the scans and meds in particular that drive the cost up, the actual IVF/ICSI is not that expensive so will differ for every couple. Sorry I can't give you a more def answer regarding cost! Hey Thanks a ton for your detailed reply. This really helps. I will try and get an appointment for consultation. I wonder if any part of it can be covered by insurance, such as initial scans or blood tests, even if ' infertility' per se isn't included. As far as I know, none of the tests/treatment is covered by insurance and all clinics insist they do all the tests themselves, even if you have just had it done elsewhere! Good luck with your consultation and if you need any help/info/ear to listen, just give me a shout!

Thank you! :-) I haven't actually tried coconut oil before but a friend who has tried 10 different ones says Lucy Bee is definitely best taste wise! So I'm going to try it in my morning coffee! :-) can't wait to see the results!

Hi, Can't give you an idea for IUI but we have recently finished a cycle of IVF and it cost around 50,000AED. I'd imagine IUI might be less as it is not as invasive and time consuming as IVF. It will however depend on how many initial blood tests and investigations you need to do as these tests are all individually priced. Also the drugs can be quite expensive so it will depend which/how many of these you will be using. The cost will vary from couple to couple and its pay as you go for what you need. Sorry I can't be more help!

I can't get Skype to work for me in Dubai. When I make a call, it sounds like the other person is under water and if video is on, calls keep dropping. Also, I can never make Skype to phone calls. Any suggestions on what to do to get around this?

Hi, We seem to have issue after issue with our house in the last few months! We used Jim Will Fix It and they were great. Turned up when they said they would and actually fixed the problem, unlike others we had tried in the past!

Thanks you ladies, I used to go every month back in the UK but I have been too scared to try it since moving to Dubai! Need to bite the bullet and get back on the wagon now though....
