Home center has nice ones that are not expensive. Bought the cars bed with its mattress on sale for less than 200. Check babyshop too (you can compare the 2 places at centerpoint marina)

we have "no shoes in the house" policy :) meaning remove the shoes before the door :) I just tell my guests and explain them that we have baby that crawls everywhere. For new guests, I keep our shoes outside, so they will get the idea ;) And when I go to anyone's house, I do remove it at the door unless I am stopped of doing so by the host. Just posted at the same time. Baby crawling everywhere!

Thank you AlQuwatain, good idea. Mary Catherine, it's not my carpets, it's the dirt shoes bring inside. When i step on a spit outside i automatically think of my baby crawling on the floor my shoes would contaminate! so, friends' company or spit-free floor? i prefer the second. However, i don't always have the guts to ask people to remove their shoes. This have once cost me a 1000 dirham carpet that a friend's LO soiled with her shoes and the dry clean couldn't clean..

I think it's better to ignore the action you want to discourage. The more you tell him to stop the more he'll do it. Once he puts his hands in his pants ask him to do something else (help you in the kitchen, bring the remote control...)

We rented this house last year, loved it. Large kitchen and living area, fully furnished, very nice owner. It is a 3 storey house however, not suitable if you have LOs. http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/south-west-london/134065

oh forgot to add, and who eats like a cow lol. Well, i am breastfeeding my 8 month old but this is not an excuse. Today i weigh more than i did when i left hospital 8 months ago! I am fed up with feeling fat. What is the best way to lose weight WITHOUT exercise? And, has anyone tried "live'ly"? is it any good? how much does it cost? Thanks all

Is it ethically correct, physically and psychologically safe to place a safety gate on my children's door? my 4 year old sleeps throughout the night, were my 2 year old wakes up at least twice. One time he is afraid from spiders, the other time he asks for milk... I have to put him back in bed and sleep beside him for a while every time. It is really exhausting with a 6 month old baby who feeds 3 times at night :'( edited by D-J on 05/12/2011

if it's the hormones you're not sure about, why not a non hormonal IUD?I took this route several months ago. You buy the iud from Life pharmacy (Nova T Schering) and your gyno will insert it after a Pap smear. Only negatives are awful cramps around period and intermittent spotting. Although the OP said she doesnt like anything inserted, i second the non hormonal IUD. No cramping nor heavy period for me, just some spotting the first couple of months. No messing with the hormones!

It's 2.40 am and still cant sleep from new neighbours. I dont know if they are partying or just having a loud conversation. And despite the "rational" and "adult" behaviour of my husband knocking and asking them to be quiet, it didnt work. My husband is sleeping now but i have thoughts of reporting them to the police - but no guts to do so.

My 4 year old hates parties because they are "too loud". He covers his ears when the tv is a bit loud or the stereo is on. Extremely extremely extremely sensitive (always apologizing to make sure im not mad even if i just frown). And, VERY attentive to details. I am worried.

Thank you ladies. Very useful information. I might just apply for it in my next visit to the UK instead of having my old passport sent to Dusseldolf.

Thanks Louise. Do you have an idea what happens to the valid UAE residence visa?

It makes more sense to me that the person you choose as most responsible represents the thing that matters least to you. That is, if you think the boatman is responsible by preferring money over helping, it means you DO NOT care about money, not the opposite.

uaenewsweekly.com/finance This is confirmed to be a scam. Now that I have submitted my credit card details (with the code on the back), not only that I feel so stupid, I'm starting to panic too. Fortunately, it's a debit card with no fortune in it, but my salary will go to it by end of this month. Shall I close the account? Please help :( Edited by Admin- please don't click on the link!

Last year we rented a car and it cost us £14 for the car seat per day for 10 days, which is the price of a new decent one. Do u think I should carry my DDs one with me, hire one, or buy a new car seat (I've seen ones for £25 in asda)? TIA
