thanks krwiwispiers.... today we decided that we are not taking our DD to nursery anymore...she was upset again today and just dont think it is fair on her anymore...the nursery is 2/1 ratio and i am happy with the level of care but just dont think nurserry is right for her just (not until she is older) so slightly concerned as we both have jobs still to go to!!! we are looking for part-time nanny and would like someone a bit older and experienced... how did you find one? we are really worried that we wont find one that is right....we will not leave her until we are 100% happy but dont want to give up my p/t job just yet,... we want to build a future for our family if anyone has any recommendations for a part-time nanny then please let me know thank you

thanks everyone, feel much more positive after reading these posts....tomorrow is another day so will see how tomorrow/the next couple of week goes before we decide that maybe she just isn't ready.... think a big issue is that she doesn't sleep well at nursery so she gets overtired and then it's very difficult for anyone else to settle her....will try with the 'familiar' items, thanks slobberknocker mich25 - she has breakfast at the morning of cereal mixed with fruit and breastmilk which she eats ok..... she also takes some water from a cup...will maybe start trying yoghurts/more fruit purees at nursery so that can she have that if she doesnt want her bottle.....think she also doesnt have a huge appetite as she has recently being waking up in the night and feeding then the teacher has been good but is also concerned that she hasnt settled yet thank you again, will let you know how DD settles ... in the meantime i'm going to look into nannies as a 'back up' option as maybe she is just too young for nursery....i feel lucky to have a part time job with flexible hours and want to build a future for our family so dont want to throw that away just yet

Hi lucy, congratulations on the pregnancy! I'm 34 weeks and expecting my first DD.... I havent been offered an internal examination yet and no mention has been made of this...so not sure what this is for? maybe you should ask if this is necessary and what it is for? moonbeam, havent experienced braxton hicks yet but think thats quite normal and a good sign ! hope the water retention is easing.. I just discovered that stretch marks have started to appear... it's horrible, have been lathering on the bio oil twice a day too!!! anyway else finding it hard to relax now...feel like i constantly should be doing something to get prepared and finding it hard to relax...so ready to start mat leave now :) how is everyone else feeling? hope everyone is doing well Sunflower and I are meeting this week on wed eve for a bite to eat, let me know if anyone fancies meeting up xx

congrats moonbeam! i picked up a few things at mothercare in dubai mall in the sall (which is pretty good). Dubai mall also has baby shop, mamas and papas and lots of other places where you can pick up baby clothes bit panicked as to what to buy! just wish i was in the uk and it would be so much easier and cheaper :) freckle, hope the move went ok

Hi Freckle, dont worry the market is quite good for apts/villas at the moment so you should find somewhere quite easily.... Dubizzle.com is a great site if you havent tried this already make sure you attest your marriage certificate before you leave as you will need this to apply for a visa for the baby in dubai when it is born hope the move goes ok!

Hi ladies, congratulations everyone! We are having a girl, so very excited...although would have been happy with boy or girl Kim.a I also feel her kick very low in my tummy, just above my pelvis...it's lovely feeling her move! she is particularly active at night No mention of glucose test yet but i have another appt in a couple of weeks, Im seeing Dr Koster, who is everyone else delivering with? I havent bought anything yet, but my hubby thinks im pram obsessed at the moment! frustrated at lack of choice and the expense of these things here compared to the uk....anyone else found that? think of getting things shipped over from the UK as i want a P&T pram and its so expensive here would be nice to meet for a coffee? where is everyone based? im in downtown

thank you for the replies! have you check out the sales but doesn't seem like much in the way of discount on prams unfortunately...haven't tried Just Kidding so will check that out...I tried baby shop and they seem v reasonable but didnt have any sporty/3 wheeler options they sell the P&T vibe here in bumblebee (next to mamas and papas) but it's nearly AED 4000 and thats before you add on the peanut carrycot and the adaptors (which you need to order from the UK!) so think I will have to ask someone to bring it over or might make a special shopping trip to the UK! it's frustrating the lack of choice and expense over here for such things thanks v much for the tips
