Hi Gingercat I was just wondering if you ended up moving to Mirdif and how you are finding the drive from Business Bay / Downtown area? We are about to move there after 5 years in DT so quite a change for us - hubby will be driving home from Business Bay. Thanks.

I have tried lots of different 'bootcamps' in Dubai and Circuit Factory is by far the best by a mile for many different reasons. They will let you do a couple of classes as a trial for free, after which you will be hooked!

It will depend if your landlord turns up to the hearing. Ours didn't so we had to set another date when he failed to show again. We then had to file an notice in Arabic in the paper with the date of the next hearing. No show again, we were then told they would post their decision on the board in two weeks time. They ruled in our favour but then had the hassle of getting hold of the money which took another few months. It was only the threat of his passport being confiscated that got our money in the end. As for what happens, with us we got taken to a small room with several Emirates who had our file and asked a few questions. Not a lot else they could do as the landlord kept failing to show up but that went in our favour in the end. Good luck!

Just back from two days at Hilton Resort and Spa, really nice resort. Family entertainer book has buy on get one free vouchers for several of their restaurants, which helps on the overall cost of the stay. Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is a vast buffet to fill you up with lots of takeaway fruit and cakes. Been to other resorts in RAK, this one is the favourite.

Yes the floor tiles go right up to the machine. They said it is likely to be the drain pump as the water is staying in the bottom of it.

Has anyone had a problem with a built in dishwasher going wrong? We had called someone out who said they weren't sure what was wrong with it and would have to pull the whole thing, including the tiles etc.
