In your first post you indicated that EMS wasn't working, you are now saying that its great ? If its great and works then carry on using it. If its not working then perhaps ask yourself why ! E...
in my first post i mentioned that I am doing it, frankly been doing it for past month, yes so far I do not feel like I lost weight, just built/maintained stamina, but I keep doing it also because (mentioned in my other post) i did research on it and heard good reviews, so for me to hear that it is a waste of time, was interesting to hear as I have not heard such feedback. What I am saying is that it is judgemental to say that i am making excuses and all that because you do not know me or how my daily routine and life is. That is why I said that EMS i convenient time wise because it is only 20-30 min sessions that are done twice per week and more is not recommended to not mess up the muscles. But no i can not afford an hour to 2, 3 or more times a week, and its not an excuse its my reality, and yet i still try to manage and include some exercise in my life. So excuse me, although I really do not owe you a more detailed explanation on my daily life and what I have and dont have. Point is, dont judge someone or conclude for them because everyone has their own life, battles, struggles that you do not know of. Anyways, thank you for the feedback on food, yes that is something that has been crossing my mind and what I am researching as well.

ok I respectfully asked to know what your opinion is based on to get an idea where you get your information from. Mine is based on research and feedback from friends who have been using it. However, you dont know anything about me or my life to come and say that I sound that I want results without any effort, and yes I do not have 30 min a day to go for walk or jog, nor can I do much of cardio specifically for other reasons. However, I do not owe u an explanation on it especially when you are judgmental without knowing someone, and just by reading something. Thank you for your opinion sharing on EMS, I appreciate that, however i do not appreciate the rest of your judgmental comment.

I'm sorry but EMS is nonsense and all the other things you're doing are NOT working out! There is simply no substitute for proper exercise and a decent diet. The ONLY way you are going to see...
Why would you consider EMS nonsense, based on some feedback and research, I have heard good reviews about it, also is a convenient mean for those who do not have so much time during the day or the week... Wondering what your opinion on EMS is based on...

Hello, most vets, such as DKC vet in dubai have boarding spaces. I know Furry Friends in JVC have the option of coming to your house to feed your cat on daily basis. Otherwise maybe you can get in touch with Samah Manzalawy on Facebook. She in general tries to help re-home kitties and stray cats or those who need help of vet. She might be able to help or knows people who can take care of Luigi.

Beauty Connection spa gives out blow dry for 50 dhs (+tax) on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Blodry saloon in motor city has blow dry for 120 dhs and you choose if you want it straight, wavy, curly or retro curls For nails I go to Chi Nail spa, but it is not considerably cheaper than Beauty Connection spa or other places, but very good in their work

It is ok to speak of your own experience, am not sure if that would cause issues but I have many times posted my experience on various social media channels with regard to whatever it was concerned. About what happened, terrible honestly but sadly not uncommon. I never personally had an experience with live- in maids as I usually resort to live-out ones, but I do not have kids yet so it is not as needed in my case. However, I have heard various stories of unfortunate incidents similar yet not same as yours. What those mothers did was either threaten the company to go to the municipality (which worked) or literally did complain to the municipality. Neither would guarantee you getting your money back unless you take it up with a lawyer (I saw a post for at least free lawyer consultation here on the forum which I believe is recent), but however would cause a commotion for the company and would probably make them close down or prevent it from happening to anyone else

Hi Dashenka, I agree with you completely...finding s job here is a grueling task...so many jobs I've seen coming up on different job sites, but still ppl r struggling ...I know about a recruitment co. called Peoplezee. U can contact them ...good luck it has honestly been forever, and I have been applying to jobs that are not even purely in my sphere or interest but absolutely no luck and its become quite demotivating. Thank you will try them

I have been suffering with my nails all my life. Until I went to uni i had the habit of biting them. Now I dont but they are so weak, like paper always and constantly break. I can't grow them. I tried some of the vitamin in pharmacies for months but no results. I have read somewhere that bio sculpture polish which is similar to gel but uses organic products (vegan as well) is actually good for you. That it has no toxins and helps nail growth. I have tried it, and after 2 weeks my nails grew significantly but when i removed it, the effect was same as gelish polish. All my nails where weak and broke :(

I know how tough it can be to find the right hair stylist in Dubai, so many are terrible :-(( However, I really can recommend my hairdresser Claude. She is by far the best colorist and hairdresser I have tried in Dubai. I call her my hair therapist haha. Just google "powered by claude" and you will see I am not the only fan, judging on the reviews she gets. I am really curious to hear about other hair stories. Please share them! I have seen this post on so many pages... quite copy pasted as well. Really hope it is not a spam to just promote the saloon or hairdresser. Can admin make sure it is not a spam? I just think my hairdresser is the best Dashenka and want to share that experience with others. Nothing wrong with that. Nop not at all... I have actually googled the article and checked her FB page but then I saw the same exact post repeated so got worried as it happened before that people spammed in such a way! If not then I am more than glad

Really up to your preference of wear. Any kind of shorts and t-shirt. If you are uncomfortable with shorts, normal jeans or sweat pants. Also, a cut sleeve t-shirt might be an option honestly as some people tend to sweat more and prefer that as an option. Shoes do not matter so much because you will be tempted to take them off later and walk barefoot on the sand which is normal. Get a cap or hat, as the sun is not friendly. At night it gets chilly so a light jacket is good to have. No heels No dresses as with the wind they would fly and if you are looking to ride a camel or those four wheel motorcycles (not sure what they are called) it will be highly uncomfortable Do not wear shirts as you would feel you are over dressed for the occasion Try also to get a small bag so that you can hang it over your shoulder at all times without worry of leaving it behind to do any activities Personally I would also suggest to get tissues, wet wipes/ sanitizer with you as you might find the bathrooms lack them or run out quickly and there is usually no back up. Also, just for quick refreshment or cleaning off sand (basically so you dont run to the bathroom all the time to wash your hands or face) Hope this helps. Wow, thats great. Thank you so much for all of that! Would flip flops be ok for footwear or is a closed shoe better?? Flip flops will be fine... I wore them many times. But after I reached the camp i just took them off and walked barefoot. Also read a lot that sand is good for your feet, like a massage for them.

Hello, this will be a bit of an odd post. Previously I never had to make stuffed zucchini, but recently i have tried many times and my biggest problem is emptying the insides of the zucchini. I always tend to break the full zucchini and leave a lot of its filling in. I have heard that you can find empty zucchinis in Dubai, which are ready for stuffing. Has anyone ever seen those? I can't seem to find them...

There is an Iranian lady who used to live in Mirdif that offered the same services. I would take a snapshot of what I wanted and she would recommend materials and custom-tailor the outfit. I don't think she lives in Mirdif anymore and the last we've communicated was two years ago. I do have a number that you could try, though. Her name is Shohra 0502891148. Thank you Miray... KOKO nails. Amazing, amazing paint! It NEVER chips, even when a day old pedicure had a toe nail turned backwards in the gym. Yes. That good. It looks freshly done even after 2 weeks. My salon owner showed me her week old manicure and told me she cooks at home, has a tiny baby and another young one and it looked like she had just got it done. She told me people insist on Essie so she has started keeping the brand, but once I have used Koko I won't be going back to wishy washy Essie. Essie has a good color range but the paint itself is weak and thin and needs coats and coats to get it to look like the color in the bottle. Koko on the other hand needs 2 coats and you are set for 3 weeks. Love it! edited by Chocobella on 02/05/2013 which saloon was this?

Hi there, Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist? Thank you very much! I have posted this answer somewhere here recently actually. I cant recommend enough the dermatologist I went to. My friend had acne for a long time and before her wedding he prescribed meds which really helped her in a bout 2-3 months. After hearing about this i went to him because i had a sudden rash around my mouth that would dry and bleed and hurt. After going to him he prescribed a mix of cream for me and in 1 week more than 85% of it went away, in the second week it was completely gone. I have been trying for 2 years i was suffering and no doctor could help me, Above all he is an extremlyyyyy sweet and nice person. http://dralialtukmatchy.ae/dr-ali-al-tukmatchy/

I have never had a pap smear test and mainly because any medical procedures get me nervous. However, can anyone recommend where it could be done in Dubai? Please please please go and have one. It is really important that you have these done. They don't hurt at all, I think most people just find it a bit embarrassing however once it is done you will realize how painless it is I use DR Liliana at Healthbay she is a lovely lady with a great bedside manner. Promise us you will go as this is an important checkup to have THank you will check her out!

Shopping this season isn't easy, I bought several tops, same design just different colours, from american eagle only to reach home and discover they have a quality control problem. Some tshirts were shorter than others, and some were wider. Similar problem with h&m shirts, as one colour was too tight and the other colour was a perfect fit. My all time prob  Sorry ladies, either I am very picky (which I am not) or shops here suck. I have been to 2 malls and did through search. Didn't find anything worth wearing.... May be time to burn more calories and do the search again in above mentioned shops again. Hanks for your help everyone. Also what I honestly noticed is that i can go to all the malls and their stores many times in one or two months and find nothing, then suddenly in the third month go and buy a lot. Updates are quite slow here. Also, i am not sure if convenient, Saharas new extension is great. I never find anything much in DM or MCC or anything but same stores in sahara have better stock. Especially Zara...

But you are saying she is a very nice lady.... maybe this is a language barrier and she learnt to say this somewhere else, hence says it this way. However, overall you can send her an email and tell her that, these many times we have accepted your informing, and thank you for letting us know, however for future reference please ask first if it is acceptable or not. We do understand that at times there are emergencies but, continuously leaving at before the office hours is not an acceptable manner and will affect the overall performance review. (phrase it how you feel is more adequate) After it, see how she responses and if feedback is good let it go, and base your decision of her on her working performance.

Hi everyone, Sorry if this has already been asked, but I recently moved here from the UK and have just started planning my Dubai wedding. I was thinking of hiring a wedding planner but the problem is that I have no idea of what the typical costs are, or what it is that I would be paying for. I was wondering if anyone who has used a wedding planner in Dubai could share their experience, including how much they paid and what services were included in that price? I understand this will vary depending on the company, but any insight on the market would be much appreciated! Thanks, Maja Hello, We have recently started working with Louay , who has his own wedding planning company. I cant really let you know the prices for services as it varies based on if you have found a venue already or not. We had already got the venue, i found my dress and hair stylist and we needed specific things from him as we were running out of time and extremely busy with other things. The thing is he can customize a package for you based on your needs. He himself is very creative and can give you ideas you probably never heard of yourself and suggest things that would be lower on cost but more unique or rational. He has also done many events. Arab, Indian, European....etc If you get in touch with him, tell him you were referred by Adam Akawis fiance Dalia. He is a family friend so would help you out in such a case. A lot of wedding planners decline offers if your wedding is less than 5 months away, saying that they wont have time for it. Our wedding is two months away and he took us on explaining that usually its a stall to make sure clients pay. Some of the things he will be doing for us based on what we need are : Sve the dates Einvites ballroom decorations based on color and theme produced with you through a mood board or consultation outside of ballroom decoration small give aways finding a DJ can consult you on hair stylist and make up artists can help you find a dress works on getting permits for alcohol and indoor smoking if needed .... thats at top of my mind at the moment http://lmb.ae/lmb-profile/ check out his website.

I have severe acne scars for years now.I have been to many dermatologists and plastic surgeon already and yet I don’t see any improvement. I had laser treatments, deep chemical peeling, filler injections and multiple dermabrasions. I already spent a fortune and my condition became even worst. Please I need suggestions on the right clinic and proven doctor to consult. Thanks a bunch! bye: My friend had similar case and was also getting married so the stress made her skin even worse. She went to an Iraqi dermatologist in Dubai and after about a month or so her skin started to show unbelievable improvement, by time it was her wedding (about 3 4 months after) her skin was close to flawless. I asked her about the dermatologist and tried him myself, i never had allergies but under my lips i started to get a red rash which turns dark. It was very painful too and would bleed at times, and skin would peel as well. I tried many creams but suffered for a year with it. I thought it was an allergic reaction to some food but apparently it wasnt. I went to this doctor because i myself have my wedding coming up, (before i really never had time) and he prescribed a mix for 2 creams for me that worked magic. After a week i had nothing peeling, no bleeding , no pain, 80 percent of darkness left, now am continuing the treatment based on his prescription and i can see it going away. Point is he is a really good doctor and extremely sweet as well (Reminded me of Santa :P) Dr. Ali Al Tukmatchy (Specialist dermatologist and venerologist), Mazaya Center in Sheikh Zayed Road, Entrance C floor 3. 04- 295 2121 www.dralialtukmatchy.ae

I know this had been probably discussed earlier but i could not find any threads or posts. Anyone knows any good make up artists that can be either working in a saloon or freelancers? Those that would be able to do regular evening make-up and also bridal make-up for not crazy prices and not over do it? (I like the natural look but in some saloons felt the make up was overdone to the point i couldnt recognize some of the girls) So far I have heard of one make up artist that charges 600dhs for evening make up and 8000 for bridal. That seems like a lot especially for bridal make up considering my preference is for natural look. Really would appreciate it Sadly they aren't cheap here and many aren't that great either! ( In the past i have been left looking like Beetlejuice) they can pretty much charge what they want which is ridiculous as the lady i use in the UK is amazing and only charges AED200 for full face and lashes and she comes from Illamasque/MAC Good Luck with your search! . Honestly the prices are outrageous considering its also a risk! I am beyond surprised with Dubai prices.

I got mine done at We Nails before the holidays. They did a pretty good job with mine, I got rose gold chrome. but after about a week, the chrome started to wear off in the corners of my nails. Regardless, my nails still looked great and I enjoyed them. They are a bit pricey tho, I paid 160 dhs. I believe Dollhouse does them as well but I haven't been there so I don't know how they are. I have read some reviews about them. How long ago was this? Because the price i saw was different... so I am wondering if they changed for 2017

A friend went to Spirals in JVC and she looks really good, said it was British stylists and half price compared to places like Ted Morgan. The location is not really convenient for myself, so I'm still looking, no consistency in the salons here unfortunately. I had a good cut and color at Tang and Mora in JLT for 550 dhs. They have a few German hairdressers there. It was good and reasanoble priced, but I wasn't blown away. My friend speaks highly of a hairdresser named Kim in Spirals but she mentioned its in JLT not JVC... is there Spirals in JVC? I have been to Beauty Balance Saloon in Bur Dubai... I had a trim, root color, low lights and blow dry (+eye brow and upper lip) all for 600 Dhs. They are a very small saloon but quite cozy. I used to go to Emma and she was great, even my mom (quite a picky person) loved her work. She sadly left. But they have another guy who has previous experience from Amro saloon (most known and expensive branch in UAE) and another egyptian lady who is very sweet and good too. So check it out ...

Dragonmart 1 would have the item you're looking for (as in the plain glass ones and not the fully decorated ones as in your image link)... alternatively if you're only looking to buy a single one then you should also look at stores like Daiso, DaytoDay and GiftVillage in Dubai... they would have cheaper alternatives of the same... most homestores now stock these jars with straws but some places only offer the printed variety and not the clear glass ones... checkout HomeCentre, HomesRUs, MatalanHome, etc. and if you're looking for something more high end then Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel also carry these... Thank you! Thats a lot of places to check which is great!

Hi all, I have recently moved to Dubai and been kind of struggling to find a good nail salon. Im originally from Lithuania, but lived in Ireland for the last 12 years, and in Ireland I had an amazing nail technician, who worked with Crystal Nails brand and I loved it as it is like shellac, but a lot thicker, thus keeps my nails strong and they dont break, tho I cannot find it here. My nails are natural and very long, I do not need acrilics or gel extentions, but anything I am googling seems like all nail salons only offer actual gel extentions or only gelish or shelac polish, which is too weak to hold my lenght while working. I really dont want to destroy my nails, or have to go for fake ones all together, so does anyone have any recommendations? Anyone heard of Crystal Nails? Maybe there are some ladies that work freelance, and are exceptional at their job? Any and I mean any advice and tips are much appreciated! :) I dont think crystal nails is something common here... I can give you names of good places to have your nails done but you can ask them yourself if they have such an option, My number one nail place is "Beauty connection" its on sheikh zayed road, modern warehouse which does nails, hammam, eybrows, and hair.... their prices are not expensive in range of available ones in UAE and they pride themselves on how quick they are. P.s. Sunday, monday and tuesday... blow dry is 50% off.... i do mine for 50 as i have medium length TNS - quite expensive but very professional, they might have Crystal Nails Nstyle - very clean in pretty much any branch i visited

Has anyone been already? I want to take my mom for her birthday but their seating map is confusing ...I do not know which seats to choose and which area. Apart from "diamond" section, can anyone recommend anything? In premium there are also tickets for 900dhs and 675... what is the difference?
