I've never done it, but I think you could get away with it if you had a mint first and then just offered her one. She would think you were being rude if you didn't offer that way. Next time just do it......what's the worst that can happen! Good idea Blue413, I've always got mints in my handbag so if it happens again I'll do this.

Daza I thought you had to do something extra to it to get the texture (like use an ice cream mixer or something?) - please can you tell us how you make them thanks :) It's good just mixed and frozen. I don't actually eat it myself so am just going on reports from my children. I also do a version with chunks of frozen fruit (banana is good as mrs13b says) and yoghurt whizzed in my wondrous Thermomix. It ends up light and fluffy like soft serve ice cream but is best eaten straight away, if you refreeze it loses a lot of it's fluffiness.

It washes off when hands are washed but you can get a topcoat which will help it last longer.

Mint is a good. I find a cup of mint tea takes the edge off my appetite and has the bonus of hydrating you in case the hunger is really thirst. Both dried and fresh mint work.

If you can be bothered, mixing pureed fruit with plain unsweetened yoghurt and freezing in ice lolly molds is about as healthy as it gets. I have molds from Ikea and Lakeland.

....offered a mint to a beauty therapist? I had a massage at the weekend (not at my usual place) which was very nice but the therapist's breath was awful. I nearly offered her a mint but chickened out. If anyone has done this, how was it received?

But won't she be even more confused if she has a chick without having a boyfriend? :quite: She'll probably just assume it was a delivery from the stork

Does she have a boyfriend? <confused> The chicken? She'd better get herself to Cyprus for a quickie wedding if she's going to be starting a family ;) If you get fertilised eggs from a chicken that has been with rooster you can put them under a broody chicken who will hatch them.

I've had this happen with all of my children to some degree after a bout of vomiting. She'll be picking up on your worry so even though it's hard try to stop stressing about it. I would present food to her as normal making sure to sit with her and eat with her also (if you aren't already). Don't press her to eat and don't make a big deal out of it, just mention how much you are enjoying it and stay relaxed. If she doesn't eat don't make a fuss, just try again the same way next mealtime. If she's lost a lot of weight or seems listless or unwell in any other way I'd take her to the doctor for a check up. Hope she is back to normal soon :)

The question for me would be which is worse, they are both dreadful. Although to be fair 15 years ago I would have loved both. Showing my age. If you're after drunken party atmosphere Saffron outdoes Bubbalicious.

I read this and just feel so very sad,,,, where oh where is your compassion ladies??? A few quid or dollars to help a young lass ,,,,put yourself in her shoes,,,she sees her family ONCE a year, no surprise she is excited and wants to bring them nice things from Dubai,,,,I'll bet a few of you take a bit extra home at Christmas etc to surprise your loved ones,,,, just saying,,,,,count your lucky stars. She's not a charity case Doodle2, she's a grown women earning a good salary who should be capable of managing her own affairs. Since moving overseas I have seen my family a lot less than once a year and when I do see them I take them gifts that I can afford to buy and transport. I certainly have never over stretched myself then asked my employer for a salary advance.

What will you be using it for m_king? If it's for toast you can make your own to keep in the fridge using olive oil blended with coconut oil or cocoa butter. Not so good for sandwiches though. For baking coconut oil works for a lot of things.

I was at M&S Dubai Mall yesterday, they have girls cotton boxer shorts by the till with the other knickers. Spinneys always has a good selection on non bio detergents in all different brands. There are a couple of Australian brand plant based detergents that I find the most gentle. One is called Earth's Choice, the other Purity.

I can't believe you missed it! Maid was utterly taking madam for a ride. Maid said jump, madam said how high. Madam posted for advice when maid was reclined in bed 'unwell' and requesting madam serve her sliced mango. Which madam did. Madam's dismay at what a mug she had been as everyone fell about in hysterics was EW gold.

If the seller is flat refusing to return the 5k the only option I can think of would be to call the police. Who is in possession of the car? If your friend has it I'd be a bit worried about involving the police in case he got accused of theft.

I'd never heard of sanitising your water cooler until someone on here recently said she occasionally flushed hers through with water with a baby bottle sanitising tablet dissolved in it. Maybe give that a go rather than pay Nestle for the service? I've just replaced my eight year old cooler when it broke. Had never sanitised it in that time, we're all still healthy :)

I found the police response (printed in Khaleej Times) interesting. I love his message of respect, the Egyptian woman could learn a lot from him. Walking around in your underwear, why on earth??? "Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation, has underscored that all visitors, tourists and residents of Dubai are treated well and what a lady has done, whose identity so far has not been confirmed, by hurling bitter words and trespassing on the privacy of the Egyptian actress has nothing to do with Emirati people who respect all nationalities. The UAE law, he pointed out, bans photographing any person and releasing video clips without their consent and permission. This is what the suspected lady has done. Most Emiratis agreed that the Emirati woman’s behaviour was uncalled for."

No idea what you should do but it seems very unfair to discontinue your friendship with her because her husband is having an affair. With such a lying prat of a husband she needs the support of her friends, not being ditched by them with no explanation.

I've bought those temporary spray in colours before from the party shop at Motor City. They came in a big range of bright colours. They only last the day though and need to be washed out before bed unless you want dye all over your pillow. The salon at MOE does hair chalk in bright colours. I used to do my hair purple with Fudge Paintbox. It give fabulous bright colours and lasts around six weeks before gradually fading completely. Not sure who stocks it here but I've seen Fudge products around so someone should. https://www.fudge.com/en-int/category/colour

Have spoken to his teacher after seeing his report how aggressive was highlighting his writing !! after long chat with her i knew that she wanted to give him a private lessons which consider one to one after school, it seems she offers these private tutoring to other students at the class and she said this is confidential !! If she write such a report no school will except him. I will speak to the head of primary and see!! ;) Just checking if I have understood you correctly.....the teacher has suggested repeating the year for your son but then gone on to suggest that this could be avoided by after school tutoring from her? And you would pay her for this? And she has asked you not to tell anyone? If this is the case and you are sure of this I would report her. Immediately. If I've misunderstood I apologise.

He/she's their step-parent though isn't s/he ? but yes I agree - certainly Kim seems to be very supportive of him/her still.. Yes step-parent of the four older siblings although he is the birth father of the youngest two children I believe. When my mother divorced my step father he didn't stop being part of my family either, lots of parental divorce in my family :( I'd just like to add that I've never seen an episode of KUWTK in my life and have very little interest in them. All my info comes from unclicked on stories on the DF's sidebar of shame

The way he goes on about his knowledge and learning whilst dismissing others I'd expect him at the very least to have a PhD in the sciences. It would seem not. Although such a qualification requires hard work, determination and a certain mindset, maybe he is just intellectually lazy?

I'm absolutely no expert but that certainly doesn't seem strenuous enough to disrupt periods unless something else is also going on like you've stopped eating and have lost a lot of weight quickly? Being a few lbs underweight shouldn't be enough either, using BMI charts I'm supposedly underweight but I have to be a lot thinner before it will disrupt periods. If I were you I'd visit the gynae for a scan just to check that everything is ok, if nothing else it should put your mind at ease a bit.
