she is well known and very good in what she does: she is an endocrinologists specializing in hormonal and diabetes induced weight problems. she is one of the few doctors who works from her true hearth i would say and she helped a number of people from my social network. i keep hearing about her whenever someone has a weight loss success. she is great with serious obesity, like losing 40 kg, not sure if 5kg is really hormonal but for sure you can try her. she has extremely long wait lists though, months... the diets are personalized but in most cases carb reduction based. she works with a dietitian.

you are not eligible to holiday or sick leave (paid) if you are part time. otherwise that offer is quite good and i would stop complaining and start working, especially if you are bored anyways.

missyuae, I am Muslim, wear a headscarf and abaya, don't wear makeup unless I'm out with my husband, I keep my eyes down when I'm out - meaning I do everything I can think of to NOT attract attention to myself - and I still have been "propositioned" many times. It was WAY worse when I lived on Deira side. I had an old coot following me around in the grocery store, then he followed me all the way back to my apartment building (thank God the building's front door locked or he would have been in after me in the lobby). Had a man follow me in his car when I was on foot - I was walking in broad daylight in a busy area and had no clue he was doing what he was doing. He got my attention and informed me that he had been "following me for some time" because he was "attracted" to me. Had another man following me in a car near the Hyatt on Deira side while I was walking. Had 2 men (at different times) follow me on foot. If I crossed to the other side of the road they would do the same - it was very disconcerting. I was "new" at the time and didn't have enough street smarts I guess to just get in their faces and tell them to back off or threaten them with the police. Had a Saudi "gentleman" (or at least he had Saudi plates on his car) follow me in his car as I was walking out of the Mercato parking lot. I informed him I do not speak to strange men - he still didn't back off. So I started screaming at him that I would call my husband if he didn't back off. I would say that perhaps Arab women who cover (maybe, I'm not trying to be racist here!) are afforded more respect by the perverts of the world. But a white woman in hijab from my experience is fair game to them too. edited by Laura74 on 26/06/2011 actually it has been proven a million times that makeup and clothing has nothing to do with being harassed or eventually raped. if those happen, it should not be accounted as the woman's fault in any case. why would it be our fault? none of us asks for being harassed or raped. It is the man's fault, who cannot behave, and who assumes that misconceptions about clothing will serve him as excuses for unacceptable actions. excuses work both way, if you almost naked that is "too arousing" if you are completely covered that is also "too arousing". lets stop it and face the fact that there is no connection.

Have you seen that in fukoshima it was actually 100 percent meltdown in all three reactors ? It will only stop boiling in a years time - 50 to a 100 years till clean up. And all those lies. And guess what - we are getting nuclear power here - mainly to desalinate water. Can't we use solar power to do that ? I am so sick and tired of this wholesale destruction of the planet - just look at those poor people in Japan. and how shall they make the huge amount of energy that is required to produce those solar cells?

LOL !! thats what I do now only with homes not bras !! I think the prices are the same as the stores to be honest .. time will tell .. its a good way to meet new people as well so im looking forward to it spend spend spend !! edited by bowbellscowbells on 24/06/2011 i am happy you have found it funny but actually i was serious.... and as i said, there is a huge difference in between shops, you can get a bra for 100 aed from m&s or for 1200 from some designer lingerie shop. So not sure what you mean by "same as the shops" lol, what shop? i have expected that you know this, as you had spent 11 years in this industry.

bowbellscowbells, i am serious, you should start a hobby-business as a personal bra fitter, it is such a big niche in dubai! you could go with the person to a few normal shops, debenhams, m&S, or pricier ones, selected by the customer fitting her budget, and help her find a few good ones. The problem with the arabian ranches event that it seems to me you must buy their bras, and i can imagine it is a small range and probably high quality but pricy items.

i am looking for my next mission... maybe try the photography... i am not a beginner though... i did arabic with eaton and also with ibn jabal institute. i preferred ibn jabal, they are more serious and more wanting to teach, eton or the wtc courses are more on the "have fun, lets learn a few simple things" side. i also had some classes for lebaneese cooking which were very good. in JLT, by Gina.

The 4 letter one offered to come to where we were staying, but it was easier for us to arrange to meet them at husbad's workplace. LOL you really think there is only 1 four letter bank? actually a lot offers it, i know emiratesbank does it for example. however the people who visit you cannot really do anything just pass papers, so everything takes much longer and also since they spend time with travel they are less experienced than the branch based ones and tell you lots of ******** and confirm things that would not happen. better to see a branch to the OP: do not make general conclusions on a culture/ country/ bank/ religion based on experience with 1 weird person. no idea why he giggled, why did not you ask him? i would just go and say "any problems?". if he is strange just send him away, request someone else.

she actually said "We just moved out of our apt having been in the building for 7 years. Our contract stated that we needed to provide at least 2 months notice of non-renewal. So 10 weeks before the lease was up, I emailed them stating that the rent was too high and that we would therefore not be renewing the lease at the existing rent level" this is classed as a negotiation rather than notice to cease - and as I said its tricky as it can be misinterpreted by both parties i did exactly the same thing once. negotiated until last week. she clearly stated, "we would therefore not be renewing the lease at the existing rent level". i even got the flat repainted cause i knew the landlord would keep the deposit if a single spot on the wall, but still he did not dare to argue the notice period length. hope OP will have similarly good ending.

(I was a buyer and lingerie fitter in the uk for 11 years ) I wish you worked here! I have not met a single person who could fit a bra here. In the USA I have it properly every corner. Here they look for the measure for half an hour then say Ma'am, you can try whatever you like.

the breast tissue is made of fat and blood vessels and tissue - there are no muscles in the breast - the weight of a breast will stretch the pectoral muscle which supports the breast tissue - not wearing the correct size bra or not waering a bra at all will stretch the pectoral tissue. wearing a bra at night has no proven effect of saving the breast sagging and to be honest I would always recommend against it (I was a buyer and lingerie fitter in the uk for 11 years ) but wearing a bra at night will not contribute to you getting breast cancer if your uncomfortable at night try expressing before bedtime x edited by bowbellscowbells on 24/06/2011 there are muscles around from the shoulder. if you support the weight of the breast artificially, they get relaxed and you will have more sagging. apart from how i feel comfortable, we as female humans got created without a bra, and i am sure it was not a mistake.

I am, and will be wearing a bra 24/7 whilst I am breastfeeding - no saggy boobies here please! yeah i know opinions are shared but they also say if you wear 24/7 you WILL end up with saggy ones, similarly how the leg muscles degrade if someone has to spend weeks in bed due to major illness/ accident and cannot move their legs after unless a physiotherapist makes him exercise a bit or give electro impulse massage while bed. so actually a combination is healthy, like 60-40 or 70-30 for bra - no bra. good luck anyway.

i have been there for moroccan bath but not with the voucher. i did like the treatment and the environment was also relatively nice. moroccan bath is a somewhat rough treatment, and it is good and more beneficial that way. it is not a gentle aromatheraphy- soft massage - light music type massage, wherever you go. take your gloves otherwise they make you buy one. if you do not have one that is fine, they only charge 30 or 40 aed for it.

haha, i was never thinking of it! but no, I cannot imagine sleeping in bra. i wear the wired ones that would poke me badly, lol. also, it keeps the breast muscles fitter if you let them work, so i do not wear a bra if i am home alone.

fluffypee, it depends on the company, the bank and your mortgage/loan status. certain companies (not all) would call the bank to say you are no longer employed, especially if they issued a no-objection-letter for your bank when you applied to mortgages/loans/credit cards. the bank may or may not react on it. if you have significant outstanding credit card debt with the same bank where your salary is transferred, chances for freeze are larger. no rule really as i see. i changed jobs twice, once had a loan, once no loan, but never had the account frozen. both times i took out some cash to survive some weeks until defreeze, in case.

I like the big Life Pharmacy on Al Wasl Road (up near the Emirates Bank - almost in Line with the Burj Kahlifa). Great variety on all sorts of things and they stock all of the Avalon Organics skin care ranges etc.... They often have very good deals on their skin care and cosmetics as well, such as buy 2, get one free. I agree with Tru Blu! Life Pharmacy on Al Wasl is very good - the staff are very helpful too :) my favourite too. and open 24h!

It is correct the new passport not needed. You will get it back with a cancelled stamp and a separate document with other information. It is actually all in their system so no, it is not really written that you have 30 days but when you leave at the airport or at hatta etc they will see in the computer. Yes, you have 30 days, after that penalty must be paid. 100 aed a day i believe, but try to avoid to keep clean records. If you do not want to leave the country you can change the visa to RAK visa for an extra fee (500 aed i think). ask emaar if there is any refundable deposit on your visas. hope you are cancelling your emaar visa because you have sold your property, otherwise that visa is safer and cheaper than the RAK one that needs the company to be maintained on a yearly fee, so adds up expensive. for the new visa you need a copy of the cancelled visa page and that extra document. do not ask me why since it is in their system, they must just love papers... good luck

I had buffet there. The buffet was limited in choices for that price. Food was good but not truly memorable. The venue is in the middle of nowhere, so a little strange and lifeless. Unless you get drunk quickly in which case of course everything is great. Waitresses are the Dubai average. Cannot remember if they had lobster, you really should call them and ask.

As a guide, we have multi-trip, worldwide family cover with Axa which cost Dh695 nearly a year ago. We arranged it through our bank. this does not guide at all. 695 for how long?? a day? a week? a month? a year? for one person or more? medical only or theft delay etc as well? Actually, it does guide at all: multi-trip travel insurance is usually an annual policy and means just what it says - multi trips over a 12-month period - and the poster also said it was family cover, i.e. for the family (usually two adults and at least 3 children) as opposed to a single. I would also hazard a guess that as the poster didn't say otherwise, that it's for full insurance, rather than just medical only, etc. so a normal corporate medical insurance is about 1500-3000 per person a year. but you can get this for 5 person for 695 for a year? wow. no restrictions on how long my travel can be?
