satwa. just drive around / ask other shopkeepers for directions. i know it for sure, and would find the places, but sorry, cannot explain well where it is. go to trade center roundabout, take diyaffah road, exit to satwa, drive a bit, start asking people.

sorry to be harsh... i read the thread... what i feel, you are constantly seeking excuses and trying to verify yourself instead of listening and considering advice. plus the more you tell about what you eat the more we learn that there is a LOT of additional stuff you eat besides the health factory food. Basically, you are wasting money on health factory, for no reason. their diet only works if you eat what they send, exclusively that, nothing else. it is called 900 calorie because it is 900 calorie. nowhere does it say that "please add toast, cornflakes, sugarcubes, etc to the packed food in order to reach 900 calorie". what they send contains no toast, no biscuits, no sugar cubes, and there is a reason for that. your self excuses are pathetic in a way. "please do not say sweet'n'low, i hate the taste". well, guess what, i hate the taste of it, too. so i have a choice of splenda, canderel, or just simply nothing! but i do not have the choice of sugar!! at first i had a box of splenda with me as most cafes here keep sweet'n'low. recently i just drink tea or coffee black. you get used to. or if you think it is such a big sacrifice, then stop whining about size 8 and enjoy the sugarcubes, toasts, fruit juices, biscuits, etc. and one more thing, you will not be happy very long with your size 8 it seems. you think it is all about reaching it. well, no. it is also about keeping it. it is a complete eating habits change. you must find out what and how works well for you, and stick to that for lifetime.

i do not think it matters, or there would be any ranking. just go to the closest mall to you, or if you live in deira, satwa, karama, any to the little shops.

Dentro, my size before the operation was 18UK (trousers) and 16UK (tops). In August 2010 I reached 70.2kg and I was wearing 14UK trousers, but slowly I started to fit into 12UK with the same weight!! . Hmm. Size 12/14 is NOT huge. It is very normal. Size 16/18 is NOT overly fat, certainly not fat enough to justify cutting out half of a vital organ that does not grow back! Hope you had and having multiple doctors opinion, and not mislead by some idiot who wants to cash big $$$ insurance money on an unnecessary surgery not caring about possible life-long consequences on you. As you see every weightloss is related to diet, finding the right diet. Cutting the stomach or putting a ring in by itself does not help. You rely on the diet. So cannot you do the diet without the surgery? It is tough but if you really want, you can. And if it does not work, you can try an other diet, without the pain of ring removal etc. Honestly, see a professional dietitian, get them look at your blood, hormons, analyze the balance of chemical reactions in your stomach when you digest food and burn or store fat, and tell you what to eat, what not to eat. And just be happy with yourself, UK 12 and 154 is beautiful i believe. edited by dentro on 25/03/2011

I am so sorry about your surgery. It is irreversible. i hope you will find the diet that works for you. It may not be the low calorie diet. your problem was never the amount you eat. maybe it is just certain food you have to exclude. when you exercise you lose fat but gain muscle , which is heavier than fat. maybe you do lose, just do not notice as the total remains. have you measured your waist, tights, etc? your size may be changing.

as they understand if the stock is no good then there is no chance of repeat business. i wish other businesses like restaurants etc would understand this principle too! i think there are different dvd provider networks, but generally the quality and value are very reliable. i very rarely had bad ones, and she replaced them or gave money back or deducted from next purchase (whichever I wanted) with no questions asked or no verification of what i claimed. really, they should manage restaurants and department stores, life would be brighter and simpler. she also always honestly tells me "that one is not so good, wait until two weeks more, unless you really need it now", which is really appreciated. edited by dentro on 24/03/2011

what i know is that the band just a tool that helps, but what really works is the diet and later on the cardio exercises. so if in your case you have not found yet what diet works, there is nothing to be assisted by the band. maybe you could try to get a full hormone-blood-digestion system analysis first, to see what type of diet your body reacts on. i have heard of people who had great advices from WCC in health care city, dr rita nawar.

When arranging different jobs, licences, business registrations, visas, etc in different countries, many times I had to show my BA, the Masters is not enough by itself. But again, may be the nature of my field. Just an idea: why do not you try to transfer your credits to an other university, maybe that would help finishing it?

Luckily people are quite honest here. I have lost ,my phone, credit card, car keys, cardigan, pashmina, etc many times and always got them back! She should just trace back the shops she visited, chances are good that the shop staff keep it for her.

that is what i meant, whenever real life brings up a new word eg. "water kettle" or "pillow case" you can repeat it a few times and she will remember. more efficient from your point of view than sending her out 2 afternoons to a place where she learns sentences irrelevant to her current daily life. it was not a joke.

actually i think the hassle and cost of bringing stuff here offsets the gain over selection/price of buying here. also i do enjoy buying new time to time, and new country is new life. also, it feels good to travel home and use my old things and furniture in their own setting, back home. so, i would definitely leave everything and buy stuff here, but there is no justice in this, some prefer one way, others the other way. up to you, both works!

just teach her yourself.... at least she gets the vocabulary you use, not some random sentences out of a textbook. every time when there is a new word/ sentence, make her write down, repeat 5 times aloud, and then carry on with her work, make her say the word aloud a few hours later again. tell her you expect her to remember, but if she doesn't, make her write it 20 times. more effective than language classes and she does not have the trouble going to somewhere. if she has enough self-motivation, make her read in english, eg. gulf news.

Come on, it is not that shocking if you read the actual numbers. UAE has 1056 death a year. Almost the same as the much smaller Belgium (1067), however Belgium is ranked at 144th place for this, simply because their population is larger. Japan had 6639 fatalities, yet they are only 169th out of 178 countries. UK is 3298 death and placed 167th. Australia, Germany, France, etc are all have much higher number of fatal accidents than the UAE. I actually wonder that when they divide the fatalities with "population", do they only consider emarati citizens, or uae residents including expats? Not sure!

So sorry to say this, but why would anyone buy tickets to her concert? She is a mess! After she lost track in her life a few years back, she has not been able to perform. Not once has she been on stage and delivered even a mediocre show after her downfall started. She will perform as long as people buy tickets - no matter what she delivers. She has failed everywhere she has performed, but people still buy tickets... It is sad. because most of us do not have time to read every celeb gossip, so for example i had no idea that she has turned into such a useless mess. (btw i had no tickets, but was trying to get some last minute)
