Hi,
I just wanted to add a little note to this post from back in 2012!! We are relocating to Dubai now, 2014, from South Africa, and we also used Riana. She is extremely helpful and knows exactly what is required for attesting. We got another quote from a company that also does attesting, Riana and the Firm's quotation was a lot less than the price as quoted by the other company, and Riana informed us of some requirements that the other company did not.
We are extremely grateful that we were lucky enough to find this post from 2012
Hiya, we used a really good lawyer in Pretoria to do our marriage certificate (we married in SA)- she did it within a week based only a photocopy. Her email is [email protected] Well worth every penny and very professional. Her name is Riana and this is an excerpt of the email she sent me :
The entire process takes 2 - 3 working days depending on which option you choose to use at the UAE Embassy. They have a same day service at R600 per document or an overnight service at R400 per document.
"Our fees are R850 plus VAT, postages and petties R100 plus VAT plus the above mentioned expenses for the embassy and courier costs. Our courier service charges between R500 - R700 for their services to Abu Dhabi depending on the petrol levy, but we can obtain an exact quote for you tomorrow. It normally takes 3 days for the documents to reach the UAE.
Should you wish to make use of our services, we shall send you a formal quote. Payment can be made by EFT."
I suspect the uni docs may be more pricey because they need to go to the Dept of Education first, then foreign affairs and finally UAE consulate.
