Wow, really? I guess we've been lucky then! I've used online Emirates booking for every flight I've ever purchased a ticket for my mother from Australia. Why can't you book it online? Mum has a different surname to me too and I've always used my husband's credit card to do it. I wouldn't have thought there'd be any issues with someone coming from Ireland. edited by dishydxb on 14/01/2013 One of my friends was stopped a few months back and they wanted her to present the C/C she couldnt as she didnt book it. They wouldnt let her travel Emirates can be funny about it on occasions and i just wanted to check how the OP's had got on.

Yes, I also recommend DESCO in Silicon Oasis. They're cheap and provide excellent quality.

I recently went to a copy place called DESCO in Silicon Oasis. It's opposite the Green Belt grocery store (Other side of roundabout). They did a fantastic job of printing posters for my school classroom. A2 glossy prints for just 25dhs each! Try them. I really though they were great and inexpensive. Hopefully they do books too.

Go see Dr Gordon Bland or Dr Nicola Deamer at Health Bay Polyclinic at Uptown Mirdif. They both know what they're talking about.

I wonder if he answers to the name Spike? We have found a saluki/labrador several times name Spike and have worked out who his owners are. We've returned him three times now because he keeps escaping. He lives in Hacienda CTY 4. Reply if you think it's him and I'll contact you.

Ive also signed up my DD with him so she will go to him for her check ups from now on. Glad you found him too. Since you guys also like him it makes me feel even more confident about him. Thanks. Okay, this is coming from someone who had two failed gastric band surgeries and now has had a gastric bypass. My first gastric band worked well until it slipped and then became very painful. Slowly I put the weight back on. The second band just didn't work. My metabolism just had responded to the smaller amounts of food and I couldn't lose the weight. I've since had gastric bypass, which was certainly much more painful, but has been very successful so far! I would say go for the gastric band and see how you go. It certainly works, but be aware that there can be complications. I had my bypass done by Dr Gaby at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center at HCC. He does both band and bypass.

size 42 European. I have REAL difficulty finding shoes and would appreciate knowing where other people buy theirs. I usually wait until I take a trip to Europe to guarantee getting my size. Am sick of being giggled at by tiny sales assistants who clearly have no idea about my frustration. edited by dishydxb on 18/12/2012

Hi, do they actually sing religious Christmas carols like 'Silent Night' or are they the commercial Christmas Carols?

Please don't judge a nationality by the actions or 'hygiene' of an INDIVIDUAL! I'm blonde, that doesn't make me stupid.

Every year the Qarmaran Hotel in Old Town do the best and most reasonable gingerbread making I've ever been to. The houses are huge and they provide afternoon tea for all the adults. It has been a Christmas tradition for us the past few years. Book early though. It's really popular. I'm afraid you've missed out for this year :(

Oh, we discovered Fatburger the other day. It is amazing! I know it's still a burger joint, but the burgers are AMAZING and the play area kept the kids entertained for hours. It's on Beach Rd at Jumeriah. Highly recommend :)
