I was just telling my DH about it this morning, I find it rather annoying for the noise it makes. And it starts early in the morning... I thought I saw different helicopters though.

Lol at Div! yeah it's lasted since August but she didn't say how often she washes her hair! Heheheeeeee. I have used Dove for years in the UK , the only shampoo that doesn't make my hair go greasy or flat and when I use it here it makes my skin itch! Arghh Hehehe just wondering how long it would last ME! :P

Salads: tuna, greek, bean, chix... anything realy. The base of the salad should be low calorie like tomato, cucumber, lettuce and peppers. You can add sweet corn, chick peas (not too much), carrot, brocolli... and then protein: tuna, salmon, chix, feta, etc. Make sure you don't overdo it with a big portion of protein :) Avoid white rice, pasta and bread.

Lush's shampoos start around 30aed, so not the cheapest- however, I have had the shampoo I am using since August so it lasts forever. It's in a solid bar, like a soap. LouiseBerlin, just worndering... how often do you wash your hair?

Do a search for GM diet on the internet. I think it is better than the cabbage soup one. My ex colleague did the GM diet and lost quite a bit of weight. But you have to be determined. I did a cabbage soup diet when I was a teenager and have not eaten the cabbage soup (non-diet version!) since! It was such a torture...

It is called Bu Qtair - you can find info/directions on TimeOut. A hidden gem :) Oh, and I would really suggest buying the prawns raw and cooking it at home (they fry it for too long!)

thanks a lot ladies. I'm so in mood for shopping now. What about scrub? Is there I need to use scrub? Once a week is a must! you have to exfoliate your skin and get rid of impurities. Check it doesn't clog the pores as sometimes they add various oils etc to the scrubs to make it moisture your skin.

You have dry skin because of using roaccutane. It dries out the skin dably as far as I know. Cream E45 might not be the best solution as it will clog the pores and you might start getting acne again. I would go see a dermatologist or a good beautician to advise you on a good cream. You should get some good oil-free moisturiser, and check it says it doesn't clog the pores. No7, Olay, they all now do oil-free range. I would also suggest checkng French brands like Vichy, Avene, they do have a good range, especially Avene do lots of creams for sensitive dry skin. Good luck

Sign in into your account and do a search for the dates you want. The special price will come up automatically in the search results if there are rooms available for that rate. i did it but none of the hotels have discount. so i can't understand how to find 50% discounted hotels... edited by Barbara-Greens on 17/11/2011 I personally have seen only this hotel on special rate, not sure about other hotels. Just did a search for 5star hotels in Dubai for April 6-7th and still see the special offer £100 for Bab al Shams.

Hi, Div! What would you think about [url=http://ak.buy.com/PI/0/500/219609752.jpg'>this[/url'> look? Here's [url=http://fashionablepeople.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/katetennis.jpg'>more[/url'>. HTH :) Thanks Jophiel I like the first one! Do you think I could find something similar in MOE or maybe Ibn Batuta? The second option is good - that's what I used to wear in London. :) But when I did a search about tennis in Dubai, it was only the pictures of ladies in skirts!

I just came on to start a post saying the same thing! I went to see it yesterday at MOE. I knew it had won awards and I knew it was a comedy/drama combo but I was really surprised at how good it was. I laughed and cried all the way through - best film I've seen in ages! Same here :) The subtitles were really good - I was laughing same time as my arab neighbour ;)

I have only WiFi on mine and I think you don't really need the 3G. You can connect your Kindle to their book store anywhere where there is a WiFi (ie home, hotel, shopping malls, airports etc) so if you go abroad it doesn't mean you won't be able to download books. Personally I do all the downlads at home and have a good selection on my Kindle for whatever occassion :)

Science Museum is just next door and it is free to visit. I love the Imax cinema (you have to pay for this one) where they show educational stuff about oceans, sealife, birds etc. The shows are not too long, 30-40mins. You can find the timings on their website. I think if you stay around South Kensington you can walk to all these places, also walk to Hyde park. It will be only 2 stops from Victoria station where you get your Gatwick Express.

But if you get into a cab at the airport it starts at AED 20 I traveled last month and when I got into a taxi I saw the meter set at AED20. So I got out and asked the security guy who monitors the taxi flow. He confirmed it was AED 20. Later the taxi guy told me it's a special fare for airport taxis as they pick up the passengers in the airport only and are not allowed to pick anybody else on the way to the airport. In your case seems that what they were doing was illegal.

Don't worry SkyKitty, you are better off knowing they are not reliable and probably won't be your true friends. We are quite new here with my DH. Trying to meet new people, going out for drinks and dinners. The next day you text/email them to say was nice meeting them and....silence. Makes me feel a bit sad, and actually even worried coz before coming here everyone was telling us how easy it is to make friends here. Not sure which part is easy. I don't drive and all the women I've met just ask me if I drive and seem to be disapointed when I say I don't... Friday brunch, when you end up recovering the whole saturday, isn't my thing either.... Hey but I am trying to stay positive :)

I don't know if you can get it over here, but lavender is very good, too. I used to buy something in Waitrose in the UK. You need to go through all of your clothes/bags etc whatever you have in your wardrobe esp. if you have wool stuff as there must be the 'nests' somewhere (larvae cocoon attached to the clothes) - you need to try to get rid of those, just simply take it off with a tissue and destroy. They like to be in a dark, moist conditions - try to leave the wardrobe door open during the day when you are not around.

She has to get it sealed in one of those plastic bags, with a receipt in, when she purchases it in Manchester airport and keep it that way until she lands in Dubai. She should ask for it at the till when she's making a payment

My dinner party guest standby is what I call "Italian" buffet - although it does not need to be italian! I serve - platters of cuold cuts - meats fish, cheeses - a large mixed salad - a big bowl of pasta coated in either marinara (tomato) sauce or pesto - a nice bread or roles - a bowl with olives and other pickes Other cook ahead things are most dished involving minced or ground meat - chilli/shepherds pie, pies The roasted chicken Idea is a great one - you can also use leftovers to make fast suppers that do not need to be cooked adead such as a quick stir fry supper - or let me recommend using a couple of slices to make Nigellas Thai Noodle soup which is very easy http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/that-chicken-noodle-soup-5156 mmmm...I fancy that noodle soup now!

Bolognese! you only need to prepare the sauce in advance, then you can freeze part of it (even have separate portions frozen for later for yourself), and keep another in the fridge for couple of days easily. In the evening you just need to boil some pasta (10mins) and add the sauce! easy peasy! Another thing you could do is a roast Chicken, have a nice dinner and use the leftovers in a nice healthy salad the next day. You can also chop the leftovers and mix with mayo, some herbs atc and use as a spread on bread. You could do the same with beef but I find it easier to roast a chicken. Good luck!

I have had it done some 10yrs ago as had good teeth and dentist suggested to do it to protect them. I still have it on some teeth! and have had no significant problems with my teeth! I would do it.
