Another question: So now I have all the docs required for the renewal application of my 4.5 year old. Putting all things in the envelope and just checked the photographs dimensions after getting it signed by the countersignatory. The doc says it has to be 45 mm by 35 mm. Mine is 50 mm by 40 mm. I got this picture taken professionally at a photo studio and told them it was for the british passport renewal. Now what do I do? Should I get the picture taken again???

The supporting document guide says for a child passport renewal "A person who fills in the form on behalf of an applicant who cannot sign the declaration must provide a letter explaining the reason they have done so." Is there anyone to whom I should address the letter to or should I just use the "To whom it may concern" salutation? Thanks

Hello everyone following on the same thread..I am filling out a renewal application for my DD. What did you guys write in the Postcode / ZipCode, under the residential address section? We do not have a post code..do we need to purchase one? Or can I just put my residential address and give DH official postcode for form filling? Thanks much!!!

I am a Mirdif mum, but wanted to let you know that I had to have my daughter take the bus for a term when I was pregnant and I was really really impressed with the bus operator. You hear so many horror stories, and see so many irresponsible drivers I felt sick with it, but actually they were great. I hope you get some feedback from "out of mirdiffers" too. Thanks for your feedback :) I live in Deira and my actual concern is the commute time.. morning time is fine. However not sure how long it will take them in the afternoon. Dont want her to spend more than an hour in the bus on the way back... edited by dodomama on 13/03/2013

My daughter has been going to BV for the past six months and we are very happy with the over all atmosphere of the nursery. The teachers are sweet and understanding and all the nursing staff is very cooperative as well. Definitely recommend this nursery :)

My daughter is also going to BV. Before coming here she used to attend a different nursery. She had the same problem in the first nursery in the first year but when i shifted her to BV.. thank God she didnt get so many flus and virals. Must mention that these types of infections and viral problem always come up when babies join nurseries. Specially the first six months are the toughest.. after that their immunity improves. Just keep up with all the good stuff you are giving your kid at home and things will be smooth soon enough :)

Hi I have just done the rounds and we decided on Blossom for 3 mornings a week for our 7 month old. There are lots to choose from - we liked Willow, Jebel Ali..it's good to decide what is important to you and then take a look. Our final choice came down to days that were available. Good Luck the range on offer is huge! Hello.. how is your experience with blossom nursery? i have also short listed it for my two year old daughter :)

Have been recommended, Blossom, Willow Nursey and Little Wonders. Viewing 6 nurseries tomorrow. Have you selected a nursery for your child yet? I am also going to visit blossom (umm al sheif branch) soon. Any suggestions?

I looked around Blossom at um al sheif last week, it was a 'suprise' visit (I didn't have an appointment) and I was massively unimpressed with what I saw. Thanks for the input. Have you been to the other Blossom nursery i.e. blossom village nursery? Thats not 'input', thats a judgement with no substance. What exactly was so unimpressive? I would be doing a little more research personally, and visiting the nursery unannounced myself before taking that particular piece of sage advice onboard ;) We do plan to visit the nursery this week. Just want to gather enough information so that i can make a good decision for my daughter. I am already taking out my daughter from her current nursery, so want to make sure the things which are bothering me in the current nursery are not there in the blossom branches.

Babyrat - which Blossom does your DD go to? This is one of my options.... She goes to the one at Umm Al Sheif. It's the original Blossom Nursery. It's not everyone's cup of tea but DD absolutely loves it there. Hii Babyrat i am also planning on sending my daughter to blossom nursery.. the umm al sheif branch. you have mentioned that its not everyone's cup of tea. can you please tell me what issues i can face if i send my daughter there? thanks
