When you get a good taxi driver ask for his mobile number so you can call him directly next time. I have done this and it's great. They give good service and I feel safe.

It's basically cutting out the step of the potential employer phoning the previous employer to confirm employment and last salary.

I usually put it in a regular pot, and equal amount of boiling water, add butter to taste and it's never lumpy. But I guess it's not authentic! I do the same thing and always get great results. Never understood the need for a special pot - except for the fact that it looks nice!

Spinney's Town Centre. :) **runs to cupboard to check** It's in a spice-bottle-sized jar and it's red with red-coloured spice/salt therein. :) Yes this sound right for the brand. Now I will have lots of space in my suitcases since many things I was bringing back can be found in Dubai. What can I bring you from the US?

Interesting - as a tax payer in any of those countries I would not be happy to foot the bill for someone who has done nothing to contribute to the social insurance of the country he or she is receiving expensive medical treatment from

UPS and the US Postal service are both good options and have different levels - i.e. delivery in a longer time frame will be less expensive. For the TV might be easier / more economical to sell it locally and buy a new one in SF. Congrats to her! What school is she at?

First day - take one of the all over the city bus tours. You will see many things and can jot down what is of most interest to return to. Also check out CityPass - http://www.citypass.com/new-york where you can buy a combination ticket to several different attractions.

anybody else miss Chipotle Mexican Grill? Awwww those HUUUUGE burritos... nom nom nom.. If it makes you feel better - Chiptole has become totally gross! I used to love it too but the past several times were so bad that I no longer eat there. I think the quality of their ingredients has declined alot - especially the meats.

Saddle River is fine - mostly suburban. To check the transportation in to NYC look at http://www.njtransit.com. From Saddle River it will be most convenient to take a bus - when you go to the site above put in the Port Authority Bus Terminal as the location in NYC. Rochelle - is I think New Rochelle which will be in NY where there will be tax on clothing. Also as far as deals look at hotwire.com - I have always been happy and feel that I have gotten good deals and have always been happy with the hotels I got. Unfortunately though JFK is the furthest airport from NJ. Let me know if you have any more questions - I am from NJ originally.

Stay in New Jersey as there is no tax on clothing. If you find a deal post the location and I can give feedback.
