I appreciate this is an early post but MKZ if you read this do you mind telling me what your child was diagnosed with? I am having hte same situation but not getting any answers, my dd is quite ill and looks like her little sister has the same. She's been diagnosed with chronic enteritis and something in the bowel but they don't know whats caused and antibiotics not worked. We are seeing DR Rolef. Thanks so much

I'm a trainer and Sam is correct, the more people that train the more the group pays but you obviously wouldn't each be paying 250 etc so works out more economical for some. Depends on the trainer how many they will train, what space they have etc; its not personal training if it becomes too many, just a group class.

Thanks Wickedangel, your response made me feel that there may be light at the end of the tunnel. She is exactly as you describe your DS, I think people think its really odd that she doesn't throw herself into play groups and the like and it can be really upsetting. I also need to find her some calmer friends but I don't think i've ever met any quieter toddlers! She has built some relationships at nursery but it takes her a long time to warm up. She is also a perfectionist and likes to practice doing things before she shows others she can do them and again she prefers older children. Its hard not to worry and i hate to say it but to compare with other children but fingers crossed she will get there!

Hi Tanya I also delivered early at City on the 18th, had a great birth, very quick and the midwifes were excellent. Would be lovely to meet the other babies when they arrive..

Thank you! Do you know what class sizes they are? I also can't quite work out exactly where they are, are they towards the Marina end of Safa Park end. I saw Willow and loved it but I believe Palm is a bit more flexible on hours. Thanks for your help

Hi Evelyn I don't drink cows milk myself for various reasons including hormones and how difficult it is to digest. So I didn't really want to give it to my baby, goats milk is easier to digest and closer to human milk but obviously the UHT part concerns me. I would consider Camels milk but I fly home at times and I wouldn't think its that accessible in the UK!

Does anyone know any decent childcare agencies, Emirates home nursing is a minimum of 6 hours and ideally I just want someone 4 hours 3 x / week. I tried busybees but they didn't show up and i hear they are usually unreliable. Healthbay now offers only full time, is there anyone else at all? I don't really want to use a typical maid / cleaning agency as they are not necessarily experienced in childcare. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi December mummies, I'm due very end if November but suspect I will fall into the December camp. Very excited! This is my second I had my first had city, what doc is everyone using as I am considering a change? I feel utterly dreadful with morning sickness, cannot wait for the next few weeks to be over, definitely worse than my first pregnancy!

I took it before I found out I was pregnant, no-one asked me if I could have been pregnant and it was a bit of a surprise to find out. I was incredibly upset when I realised, the doc said it was fine but everything I've read says to not take it in first trimester. I would be cautious to take it at any stage in pregnancy it's very strong, I'd do some research and make your decision from there.

Yes I suppose he could but would that be enough for offshores here? Is there only HSBC bank that have an offshore part now Lloyds have gone? Obviously for setting up an account online an NOC would not suffice I presume. Many thanks

Yes we swapped at 5 months, same thing DD wouldn't lie down she was too interested in what was going on, a lot of baby friends have done the same.

Hi Mau, I follow BLW as it makes complete sense to me. Most of my friends use puree so its just personal choice. BLW for me is so easy as the baby eats what you eat no faffing around, great for dexterity and hand to eye coordination and apparently makes them less fussy, my baby tends to eat anything at this stage. For BLW you tend to start earliest at 6 months when they can sit unaided and show an interest in food, those traditionally weaning can start earlier as obviously you are feeding them and there is less choking hazard. BLW say that milk is the most important thing until 1 year old and food up unitl that point is for fun, where they can discover tastes and textures. I know what puts people off is the choking but this isn't really an issue, they did gag initially but rarely choke they are clever little things and learn to spit out what is not wanted. Let me know if you have any questions, Gill Rapley is a good lady to google.

I don't know if you need one but just to let you know, it was a very simple process at the airport, took 5mins, cost aproxAed160. I was with my husband and had all the required paperwork. I was expecting a nightmare, as with most admin here, so allowed a ridiculous amount of time, where in reality, we could have had longer in bed! Thank you, do you remember what docs you had to take?

Sparkly, I have the ergo and I love it. You can buy them at Smitten in Marina mall or online at babysouk. I'm not sure where you are from but actually worked out slightly cheaper than getting it in UK.

I actually can't thank everyone enough. Tried putting her down last night when she was half awake and she went straight to sleep and slept for 10 hours, fed this morning then swaddled her after 5 minutes crying I put her down and she went to sleep! I can't actually believe it but am thrilled to have two arms, I don't actually know what to do with myself now! Thanks again

Thanks Kiwispiers, i'd written a response but it seems to have disappeared?! Anyway, it said that my LO has no real problems at night, after her last feed at 8.30 we put her down and takes about 15 minutes of rocking to get her to sleep, I then put her down in cot. Is your advice still relevant for day napping? She feeds then has about 30 mins of playing happily even in cot but then cries after that point, I presume she is either over tired or bored so I have found putting her in the sling the easiest thing to do, she'll sleep quite happily in it for hours but its obviously not ideal all the time. I just can't imagine her being able to sleep in the day in the cot but i'm hoping I can be proved wrong! Any advice is much appreciated..

Thanks Sparkly for the response, when you say you put her down initially was she asleep or awake? I can't imagine my LO ever just been able to drift off herself when in cot but she will quite happily play in there for half an hour before she gets upset. Thanks
