I've worn my diamond wedding/engagement rings everyday for 25 years! Never taken off except once when a stone loosened. I think I would feel naked without them...

Seems odd that they would want you to ripp up the garden when surely the fact that a house has a 'mature' garden, its more of a selling point than a sand pit! You would think so, wouldn't you! So much for going green and all the so called green initiatives. I'm out in DSO and have seen this many times. Mature gardens and trees, just cut down and turned to sand. Absolutely ridiculous! But it is a money making scheme. The garden companies benefit, and the landlord doesn't have to water the garden in between tenants. There is no "value" attached to a mature tree here!

Yes, children with him. Girl and boy. He has to travel for his job. Has been told that he can sponsor a house boy! Can this be true? Surely they can't seriously expect someone to leave their girls (or boys for that matter) with houseboy! This place never ceases to amaze!

Why would you think I would want "freebies"? I would be paying school fees, rent, etc etc. Just prefer not to go the boarding school route..... Thanks for the other information.

I had a guest who was also on wafarin and had to do the inr test. We had it done at the Emirates hospital on beach road. No appointment necessary for this. Don't remember the cost but pretty sure it was under 200dh. They will give you the reading and it is very quick, less than an hour, but they will not able to advise on any dosage adjustment without an appointment with a cardiologist, but your guest should know what their regular reading should be and if everything is normal just continue with their normal dosages.

Absolutely! Especially chicken. How else to get rid of that slimy stuff! I agree that it's a cultural thing though. I grew up with everyone around me doing it.
