This is a horrible situation, and my heart goes out to the family - but come on, are people really suggesting a psychic can help? Wouldn't you try anything if it was your child???

Its human nature and mothers instinct to want to help in situations like this thats all people are trying to assist in whatever way they can, no one is underestimating the resources of the police merely trying to help.

If this child is still missing the media should be asked to broadcast it immediately, it needs to be brought to the attention of as many people as possible, not just those in the local area. Definitely, he may have wandered off and posting his picture may assist the police if someone has seen him by chance

Evening or day brunch, i can certainly recommend Pergolas at Al Murooj Rotana in downtown, plenty of space around tables etc for puschair and its 179 AED evening brunch per adult with alcohol, think its 149 without, different theme every night we like the thursday and friday night brunch its yum :) I am suggesting here as we have been here with a small baby and children. Edited to say downtown not downtime Lol edited by egg on 11/01/2011

I have definitely seen Loewe perfume and aftershave ut dont know about the particular fragrance, probably the big department stores like debenhams or harvery nics may stock it, or the beauty bay in lifestyle at Mirdif have a good selection of fragrances.

I dont bother anymore, as people at home are really negative about Dubai and always yap on how they would not like to live here, you cant do this you cant do that, i am sick of justifying that it really isnt all that bad and it is what you choose to make it, you can either enjoy your life and be happy with where you are what you have and the opportunities that present themselves, or just moan and constantly wish to be somewhere else ... me i enjoy living here, meeting people from all walks of life and dont feel that i am restricted at all Love it :) but people dont want to hear that they only want to hear the bad stuff :) Quite opposite here – my folk loves Dubai, so I have to say something bad to make a balance :) My family love it here, i find its friends who have not visited us whilst we have been here and rely on newspaper scandal like NOTW in the uk to base their opinions on, my parents visit twice a year for a month at a time and love it :)

We pay our maid 1600, we buy the food she wants, she gets toiletries if she needs them, we provide simple things like soap toilet roll etc anything else she purchases, we dont pay transport, we live in MotorCity where there is no bus service however, there is a large community of Filipino maids in the area so between them they get a taxu to the ranches and get the bus from there to wherever they need to go, prior to her living with us, she lived out for the first year, which we paid 200 aed per month to her transport costs to and from our home, that stopped once we moved here, we give 1 flight home per year and 2 days off, she is happy with that. Tally Ho - it may be a shock to a uk person, however, remember to a Filipino thats a far better salary than they earn in their home country, 1 months salary at 1600 paid for my maids son to do on the job training in his home country, :)

If you are worried about snacking in the afternoon, try and only snack on fruit or some veg sticks? 11am is ok to eat lunch if you ate breakfast at 7, i always try and eat at 12 but sometimes hunger strikes and as a previous poster said when the pack lunch is looking at you its hard to resist.

New ones include Modern Family (different kind of humor, don't know if it's your type), then there is Big Bang Theory (geeky/scientific humor but not limited to that), Cougar Town (40 year old divorcee who is trying to get back on the dating scene, again a different type of comedy show). If you want something older you can try Gilmore Girls, it incorporates pop culture, literature, politics etc and presents everything in a funny way along with a good storyline. Hope you like atleast one of them :) I am sure i will i am quite open mided and like anything really will take a look thank you

Ok, it was awesome ha ha very nice indeed, really does taste just like home, however, i ordered the chilli sauce on mine and it was mega hot, you can ask for it seperate but they put a bit too much on mine, i had the chicken tikka roll (kebab proper chunks of breast meat) and DH had the donner he said it was delicious. However as a traditional british kebab shop they dont know how to make fries, they were not too good lol Enjoy we would definitely go back for more it was reasonably priced too :) The only problem i foresee now is after a few drinky poo's it will be right lets go to the Kebab Shop lol :)

They are checking anything that is against the morals of the country- Ann Summers type stuff etc:-0 Ha Ha yes thats what i think, however, if you ladies carry hair straighteners you could always get a discreet one and wrap it with cord of the straighteners so it looks like curling irons or something (ahem) Lol ;)

Well the general thing was how much gets broken but there was a chap who had employed a maid for a good few years and the maid stabbed the baby out of the blue. I have heard some horrific stories, someone hired a maid who burnt her DS leg with the tip of an iron and absconded leaving him alone in the house no one knew until the parents returned home and found the LO sitting crying in the middle of the floor. Another one told horrific stories to the kids left them with nightmares another one stole over GBP 2000 worth of jewellery, the list goes on many many stories, terrible really.

She has internet access which is wireless from our internet, i dont see what the issue is?? She is a part of our family and has been for the last 2 years, she is amazing, looks after us well and takes extremely good care of my DS, if it were not for her i would not be able to go to work, have a gleaming home and a happy DS, why would she not have small luxuries, she is here away from her own family and friends to look after mine, which i am thankful for everyday, the internet is the only reasonable way she can keep in touch with back home, no she does not earn a huge salary standard Filipino maid salary, yes she gets 2 days off a week, 1 flight home a year, internet access, food, electricity a nice room and other things as and when she requires them....the alternative is i treat her like a slave and end up like other posters on here where everything has gone drastically wrong, she absconds, hurts my DS, steals etc etc... so i am happy with the way we treat her, each to their own but my way works, :) I know i know just been a strange start to the weekend lol glad its all sorted now though thankfully, the situation could have been worse had she not come to me in the 1st place, enjoy the weekend Ladies :) By the way the scammer has well and truly been seen off i soke to him on messenger and gave him what for Lol :) Calm down, nobody said (besides the one joke) that you should treat your maid any different to what you are doing. Actually the alternative could be a lot of things without resorting to slavery, but no one is judging you :\:

Where: Little Bay and Waikawau Bay, Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand What: A "carpet" of hundreds of dead, mostly eyeless, snapper washed up on several Coromandel Peninsula beaches on Tuesday, leaving people mystified. That comment is strange eyeless ??? not really, all the eyes were gone and that was the only 'damage' other than the fact that the fish, of one species were all dead. What i meant was strange that there were no eyes??? Where did the eyes go???? the 'government' took them..... Lol :)
