Hello Ladies This is my first post to this forum :) I have plans to start a small business in Dubai Investment Park.. a playschool/daycare/nursery for above 1 yrs.. a full fledged play n learn with lot of fun filled activities. Can I pls have some inputs on this? How good is this idea? Also DIP restricts me to a very small location.Do u think it would work out? This is how I fixed the error and made the game work after looking for a solution on apple game forums [b'>Are you signed in on facebook from your browser on your iPhone or iPad -- facebook login to Draw Something takes longer. Has anyone else had trouble using Draw Something on their iPad? For the past week or so, it doesn't go beyond the "Getting Ready" screen on mine. Downloaded the game two months ago on my iPad 2 and have never been able to play it, not once! It's always stuck at the "Getting Ready" screen. Have tried deleting and re-installing it a few times to no avail. Very frustrating as I keep reading about how the good the game is and really want to play it. Me too, I've reinstalled it a few times and it's still stuck on that same screen. Hmmm...seems like a common problem. Anyone found a solution for this? Are you signed in on facebook from your browser on your iPhone or iPad -- facebook login to Draw Something takes longer. So log out of facebook from your browser and then try loading the game .. just a quick update. i called dubai municipality 800-900 and made my complaint. a couple of hours later a agent from the ministry of health came to my building to pick up the piece of metal and made his way to Hanoi Restaurant. He assured me that he would thoroughly inspect the kitchens and dining area to avoid something like that happening again. Whilst he can't help my to get my financial claim settled, he did encourage me to file a case against the owners. Overall I am very impressed with the way the municipality has dealt with this. I had very low expectations when I called the helpline- I saw this as an opportunity to vent at best. I'd encourage anyone to make use of the helplines and report any unsanitary or unsafe practices observed or experienced in Dubai eateries....! Thanks for the update, BCS -- Good to know that the Municipality is taking your complaint seriously but I think you should really follow the advice of the MOH official and file a case against the restaurant: they should accept some liability for the expense incurred by their mistake

The Big 4 are inundated with graduates' applications - there are very few available spaces and many candidates. Their website may not show vacancies but it pays off to visit their office and drop off a copy of CV + cover letter. Very important to mention stuff like her visa category (I assume you will be sponsoring her so she won't require a visa from her office -- this really improves her chances of getting hired) One of my friends got her accounting degree from UK but really wanted to move back to the Middle East to be closer to her family so applied for KPMG in Kuwait (lots of openings in comparison to UAE) and then worked there for 18 months and requested a transfer to Dubai and was successful. Another one planned to do the same thing but is so happy with PwC at Oman (better prospects) that he decided against a transfer and instead just visits his family in Dubai weekly or fortnightly -- For him the short flight is well worth the expense and time because he is being compensated so well in Oman Other than that .. Ask her to register on [b'>[url=http://gradberry.com/beta/'>Gradberry[/url'>[/b'> (recruitment aimed at young graduates with little or no experience), [b'>[url=http://www.bayt.com/en/uae/'>Bayt[/url'>[/b'> and also send her CV to [b'>[url=http://www.standardchartered.ae/home/en/index.html'>Standard Chartered[/url'>[/b'> and other international banks because they have a wonderful graduate programme

It's a very easy process, however for UK nationals please bear in mind that if you had any surgery in the UK between 1980 and 1996 (I think) you will not be able to donate as MCD was about. I'm not sure if the same rules apply to Europeans, but it may be worth ringing and checking before making the trip. A UK friend who is O negative went and because of a minor surgery in 1987 she is unable to donate. Isn't that only if they had a blood transfusion from 1980 onwards? DH had a minor op but didn't need a blood transfusion Just checked with my friend and it is any surgery. She had her appendix out in 1987 and the sister confirmed to her this morning she can not donate blood. At no point did she have a blood transfusion. My friend only went as she is O negative and as it's a rarer blood group thought she would do a good turn despite her fear of needles My husband gave blood every 6 months in the UK for years and it was fine. I wonder why it's different over here then. Such a shame as that little baby needs it. I think he's going anyway just to check. Thanks From what I understand, this rule only came into play in 2000 and is being very strictly enforced now.

Most people I know have leases expiring either in May-June or Aug-Sep .. November to Feb has the least amount of property choices and the supply constraint means that rent is also higher What I can suggest to you is that you contact [url=http://www.bhomes.com/'>Better Homes[/url'> who have many properties in the New Dubai area (Emirates Living, JLT, JBR, Marina, et cetera) and co-ordinate with one of their consultants. This is what we did when we were moving and they showed us several lovely apartments (In December) even though there were not many being advertised in the newspapers. I cannot recommend a specific agent at Better Homes because our agent has since moved back home

To be honest, I was really surprised myself. I initially mentioned my experience on facebook and they were super speedy getting back to me and promised to follow up on it. A few weeks later they came back to me with the phone number of the hotel and suggested I take it up with the manager myself. I explained that I felt this was a bit unreasonable given that I was their customer and not the Meridien's but at that point they stopped answering my emails and I let it go. Perhaps they were just powerless to fix it, but I wish they had just said that rather than passing the buck and sending me on a goose chase. FFx You should have followed up on facebook again - you wouldn't have made any friends at Entertainer but I've noticed that company's are always quicker when you're pointing out a problem in a public forum I once contacted Etisalat on twitter: fastest customer service I ever got in UAE :D

Sometimes restaurants can be a bit funny about accepting a food and drink voucher for the same meal, even though they are obliged to. We had this problem (along with a host of others at Maya) but have used it successfully at Grand Grill and Thai Kitchen in previous years. I did complain at the time to the Entertainer but they were less than interested and left me to sort it out between myself and the restaurant where I was unsuccessful. FFx I'm surprised, FF -- I've only ever complained to Entertainer once a couple of years ago and they were quite fast in replying to my email and resolving the issue However, it wasn't a problem with the wine voucher .. It was with the Entertainer Card that used to come with the book

I love my iPhone as I use it for personal use - Skype, Whatsapp, Imessage and all the various apps to keep me entertained. Just note though that ALL iphones purchased in UAE (and some other countries in the Middle East) cannot have facetime. The software is banned in this region. It depends on what outlet you purchase it from .. Axiom sell iPhone's that have facetime activated. I have been informed by the techno-geek that it depends on the serial code of the iPhone so if you purchase one that is ME specific then you cannot download Facetime on it even after purchase. However, US iPhones (such as those in Axiom) come with Facetime pre-installed

Sorry perhaps should have said I'm off to exchange my UK licence for a UAE one. Does that make a difference to the cost? Check out [url=http://dubai.ae/en/Lists/HowToGuide/DispForm.aspx?ID=11'>this[/url'> link. It's the official page of the Dubai Government and has very accurate information about the documentation and fees :) Thanks for that. Looks as if it will only cost 360 then. I was quoted 450 I just read that website and it may cost you AED 450 or about because AED 360 is for opening a traffic file but I'm not sure if they have included the printing cost of the license which I remember was around AED 100 Take extra money with you but not a large denomination: carry change with you. And also carry your CC if they make a fuss about the actual change. It's very painless, better to get their early though cause one hour into their duty, the officials start taking their tea/coffee breaks and they have a very extended lunch break

Hey! Congrats on passing your driving test :) Bit blurry about the amounts - About AED 100 to get the actual license, I believe. But I also had to pay AED 180-200 for the road test fees (if you have given more than one road test, i.e. you didn't pass in your first try then multiply this amount with the number of tests) so IF I remember correctly, it was about AED 280 They are really grumpy about exact amount at the Licensing Department however you can pay by credit card at the cashier but only if you are the primary card holder! Hope that helps <em>edited by em2san on 09/07/2012</em>

We pay an exorbitant amount in maintenance fees for these facilities and I don't want them overcrowded with the lifeguard unable to fulfil his duties and the changing rooms filthy

I've been to Mushrif Park a few times. It has two good sized pools - 25 meters or something - separate pools for men and women. They're not too far from Mirdif. You have to pay park entry AED 10 per car and then for pool use, another AED 10 per head. Or you could go for individual membership (AED 260) or family membership (AED 420) for 6 months. The facilities were quite clean but I cannot remember whether the water temperature was controlled .. I went last summer around this time and it was comfortable. I would suggest you call 04 288 3624 or visit the park to find out information because I remember that they had some rule about boys aged 10 and above (or was it 8 :S) not being allowed to use the ladies pool I've also been recommended to visit the Etisalat Academy pool which is again 25m, temperature controlled and open to the public but too far from me [somewhere between Qusais and Muhaisnah'> You can contact them on +971 4 204 3491 for information

Hi muu, how did your test go? I hope that you passed with no issues. Hi umm, thanks for checking up, I was too nervous such that i ended up making a silly mistake of turning right when she told me to turn left and other minor mistakes i need to polish up, the RTA instuctor was so nice and it was not as bad as i imagined it to be, I will do my 8 classes today and tomorrow and take the test again, this time i feel so confident. Hope I make it in my next test Don't worry, muu .. The first time is always tough because of the unexpected factor. Just relax now and next test, drive like you do in the driving class InshaAllah, you will pass :)
