I can't speak to her, I would find it so awkward. My boss, well he would be as subtle as a brick, so that is a no go. As I said before -- I think this is something HR should be handling. She's a new hire and this is a very sensitive topic and may affect your work relationship with her if she takes it the wrong way.

It would be so awkward to have a direct confrontation ... I would approach the HR again and ask them to take some action: You can request that they print a personal hygiene checklist and display them in all the bathrooms at work. There are so many templates available online - it doesn't have to be a long one; shower once a day, use deodorant, have neat hair and tidy nails Additionally, they can send out a bulletin by email saying that since the office is a closed space, employee's must maintain personal hygiene for the sake of their health and their colleague's comfort .. I just feel that a work bulletin does not point at anyone specifically but still gets the message across

I think the Entertainer books are really worth it but you just have to be careful selecting the right book for you. I personally love the Family Book because it is such a huge saving when going to waterparks or casual JBR places like Jedoudna, Burgerfuel and On The Border. But my parents swear by the Fine Dining book (I think the Beachcombers voucher in in Fine Dining this year .. I missed it when browsing through my Family Book) We were just discussing this offer they have for a free book over [url=http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=184460'>here[/url'>

Oh, I was going to suggest Titanic by Marco Pierre White .. I had the pasta there but I guess that won't work for you You can check out their menu from foodiva Otherwise, I think that hotel also has a nice restaurant by an Indian Chef and it is the other end of town: Bur Dubai And I spend a lot of time today on the Entertainer website and I think they had a printable voucher for Titanic ETA - Sorry, just check Entertainer website and apparently the Titanic voucher is for the paid members <em>edited by em2san on 05/07/2012</em>

Garnier Caffeine Anti-Dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll On It's so easy to apply .. Really helps with the dark circles and best of all, it's like a tinted moisturizer so you can use it instead of concealer during the daytime ETA It also helped me with the under-eye puffiness edited by em2san on 05/07/2012 i go buy one thanks Make sure you buy from Boots or similar place that have trained personnel because the fist time I bought one that was a totally wrong shade for my skin tone -- It's actually funny because they only have like 3-4 colors so the odds of me getting it wrong should be quite low :D

If you go to the Entertainer website there is an offer on until 20th July - buy the Travel Entertainer a select another book for free. I feel quite silly considering I just used that offer for the Travel Book coming with a free Entertainer book and even reviewed it below .. Thanks, Yorky .. I think I can definitely justify spending another AED 400

I have the Body book too! DH and I share it, you can go by yourself and pay the first time and then second is free. We both use it for haircuts, i have only used the spa side of it once at Bab Al Shams too! DH goes to a different hairdressers all the time as he isnt fussy about his hair. Good to know that both services from Body Book don't have to be at the same time ... Feel a bit conflicted Have already spent like 700 on the Entertainer books this year but I was just checking out the vouchers in the Body and Travel Book on the website and they look really tempting but I'd feel too guilty if I bought both The Body Book has a better validity cause it's till March (or is April) next year but the Travel vouchers are so much better value for money Any suggestions? Oh by the way, The Dangerous Blonde .. You can see the hotels from Travel Book here http://www.theentertainerme.com/books/the-entertainer-2012/books/travel/entertainer-travel/c-24/c-79/p-120

I tend to buy most of mine from Warehouse in the UK. Here they are between 300-500AED a dress! whilst at home 180AED and all made of cotton and last for years OMG .. AED 180 is really reasonable. I've only ever seen Warehouse in Dubai and though they were pretty but overprices but I'm going to check their website to see if they offer delivery to UAE and then will have to use the trick of: try in store, pay online :)

We don't have the Travel book, though at this rate I'm thinking of getting it! We used an Entertainer BOGOF voucher at Bab al Shams and got two rooms for the same night at the price of one, IYSWIM? Ooh, didn't know you could do that. I was actually thinking of getting the body book but wasn't sure how it worked .. Will I always have to a friend along to avail the free service? :S

Please post feedback if you purchase from Couchia .. I really liked some of the styles but wasn't sure about the print and fabric It is the fabric i am unsure of also as i like cotton not the stretchy material if that makes sense. I am going to try and drive over there to have a look at them in the flesh and will keep you posted Same concern. I don't mind the stretchy material (I think that's polyster or cotton mix) but it is so uncomfortable in Dubai weather so I'm looking for cotton or some breathable fabric! Thanks :)

I would suggest that instead of using short-fixed, visit a doctor. The best bet is to visit a GP and based on his diagnosis, get a referral to a dermatologist or endocrinologist. For a dermatologist, I can recommend [url=http://www.zoominfo.com/#!search/profile/person?personId=1527435170&targetid=profile'>Dr Jobeetha Yusuf[/url'> at Al Zahra - she diagnosed the reason for my hair loss and prescribed vitamins and topical solutions that were really helpful. Or maybe an EW'er can recommend a tried and tested trichologist

Keep in mind that most expats are Muslim too :) Most? Yes, most, majority. Might be OT but are you sure? I always was under the impression that the biggest group of expats are Indian nationals followed by Phillipin nationals and they would make up quiet a chunk of non-muslim expats ... But happy to learn something new. "Islam is the official religioin of the UAE with Muslim constituting around 96% of the total population. Among Muslim 85 % are Sunni Muslims and 15% are Shia Muslims. Christians, Hindus and other relgious groups form just 4% of the UAE population, but have been granted freedom to practice their religious and cultural practices." [i'>Section I. Religious Demography The country has an area of 32,300 square miles and a permanent resident population of 4.1 million, with 78.1 percent of the country's population being noncitizens, according to the 2005 census. Of the citizens, 85 percent are Sunni Muslim and 15 percent are Shi'a. Foreigners are predominantly from South and Southeast Asia, although there are substantial numbers from the Middle East, Europe, Central Asia, the former Commonwealth of Independent States, and North America. According to a ministry report, which collected census data, 76 percent of the total population is Muslim, 9 percent is Christian, and 15 percent is "other." Unofficial figures estimate that at least 15 percent of the population is Hindu, 5 percent is Buddhist, and 5 percent belong to other religious groups, including Parsi, Bah', and Sikh. These estimates differ from census figures because census figures do not count "temporary" visitors and workers, and Bah's and Druze are counted as Muslim.[/i'> From the International Religious Freedom Report 2007 found in the US Department of State website

I am sorry to have upset you further. You clearly are unable to see beyond 'your' driving skills. I did say that I was posting with caution. It was my version of a disclaimer. ETA Yes, I am a sort of authority on it after working for 9 years in the traffic section of the Police, I do have a bit more insight than others. edited by CAPTAIN AMERICA !! on 03/07/2012 How is it my driving skills though? So are you saying I should break the law and break the speed limit? Didn't realise that's the official line of advice... No, I am suggesting that you don't block yourself into a tight corner on the road, just because you are staying within the speed limit. It is ok to go to lane no.2. I am also wondering why you are jumping madly at me, when I am calm and really would like to assist you in solving this issue. I am sure there are plenty reading this who will agree with me (but may not wish to say so). Well I don't agree with you CA, my side is with the OP. Regardless of your so-called 'explaination' the facts of the matter are that the good majority the people on the road here are idiots and have no regard for anyone else, whether your in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th lane. It's all me me me about most everything, whether its driving or even simple queuing, or allowing people to exit a lift, and I've never seen this mentality so obvious anywhere else in the world. People are just dumb, period. Wow! Way to generalize

In Dubai, when it comes to telecommunication provider for home services, it's generally either Etisalat OR Du and both are equally bad at resolving issues and have absolutely horrendous customer service. Lynett84, For more high end Indian stuff - you can check out: [url=https://www.facebook.com/mumbaiseuae'>Mumbai Se[/url'> [url=https://www.facebook.com/pages/Studio-8/186262674735466'>Studio 8[/url'> There is always [url=http://www.timeoutdubai.com/shopping/reviews/5975-fabindia'>Fabindia[/url'> but I find their stuff too casual To be honest, it is hard to find a nice dress in Ready To Wear ... If you don't have any luck with R2W and you have enough time, I'd suggest: 1. Opting for a sari - Always appropriate wedding wear, plenty of choice available AND there are no size difficulties. Just have the blouse tailored to your size. One of my favorite shops for pure fabrics would be Regal -- you can easily find something within your range here. There is also Parthas and Sheetals - popular for a HUGE variety of sarees. Also, there is Glance (they stock small lots of designer stuff such as Sabyasachi so may not be within your range) My Indian friends like Shaoob but its not up my alley (I'm Pakistani so I think this is just a matter of personal taste) 2. Getting a dress tailored - there are a few shops that sell [url=https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/166383_182558035109989_3590415_n.jpg'>Sana Safinaz Export Pret-a-Porter[/url'> and you can just get these tailored in your size. There is also a Bareeze outlet that stocks premium embroidered fabric. All of the outlets that I mentioned can be found in Meena Bazar ...

When i asked the cab driver why they stopped me he said they think you may be a H@@ker. Just to update re my daughter - SHE PASSED! I am a very proud mummy! She did say she only drove for max 4 minutes! [url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php'>[img'>http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-happy057.gif[/img'>[/url'> Congrats :) The driving test is quite short - Maximum 8 minutes if there is a lot of traffic otherwise generally under 5 mins! Also, wanted to mention that I think more than the Driving Institutes - the instructor is the most important factor. I can recommend Flavia at the Belhasa Driving Center, Al Quoz Branch .. She's a senior instructor. Very straight talking. And has been awarded best female instructor at Belhasa several times based on customer feedback and passing rates of her students.

My mum has used henna on-and-off for the last 20 years. She has naturally brown hair and henna used to give it a lovely auburn tinge as well as conditioning the hair. However, now that she has started getting grey hair - the henna would color these stray hair bright orange and it's not a flattering look! So I would suggest you purchase henna from Lulu like mushypeas suggested. And if you have shoulder length hair - take 6 tbsp of henna powder, add 3 tbsp of instant coffee and make a gloopy mixture by adding 3 tbsp of olive oil. This paste should be quite thick so dilute by adding a little water. IF you do not like the smell of henna - add 3 to 5 drops of any essential oils (such as lavendar, rosemary or sandalwood) Apply to hair using a brush (don't use fingers or nails will be stained orange!) Cover with a shower cap. Apply vaseline on the sides of the shower-cap to prevent henna from staining skin. Leave henna paste on for 1 hour and then shower. Use shampoo but do NOT use conditioner. Do not shampoo more than once! HTH

Maybe contact Dubai Center for Special Needs and see if they can customize any of [url=http://www.dcsneeds.ae/eid.htm'>these[/url'> postcards as a mini-portrait for the worktable or a calendar - the money will go for a good cause and I think it's something that's unisex ETA - Sorry, just realised that at AED 3 / card .. they don't fulfil your high-end criteria :) <em>edited by em2san on 13/06/2012</em>
