SA_Babe , Hope your LO is better now, My baby had the same reaction when she was in pampers... We used Sanita bambi and huggies both do really good. Pampers are full of chemicals and some babies are sensitive to it while others are not. Myabe yours didnt take kindly to his new diaper. tc

Ellar, We are in the same boat. My gynae suggested that I keep having my prenatal's even now. DD turns 8 Mo soon. I had them only for about 2 months after delivery and that's exactly when the hairloss started. I just dread combing my hair now. It will stop once i stop BF. That's what my mum told me. :)

Thnx meals, sandfly- I understand wht ur tryng to say, and i hope this is the case too. coz till now she has never missed a day. and has pooped atleast 2-3 times a day when she was entirely BF. I introduced solids when she was 6MO. she hates puree's and i'm in support of BLW. So she gets to munch on anything that she can hold. I think it was the steamed carrots and sweet potato that has her system jammed. I can't make up my mind , should i give her another suppo. or wait for another day.. She doesnt look uncomfortable to me. BUT she has never missed a day before. :(

Hi , My baby had a fungal infection when she was 3 months old. The doc told me to wash her with 3 drops of betadine solution mixed with equal drops of water . And he said to continue using sudocrem. He also prescribed a herbal ointment , i forgot the name ( sorry ) , but all it was supposed to do was to make a protective layer everytime she dirtied her nappy.. plus ensure the new skin that would come would be resistant. I did take more than a week for it to completely disappear , but you can try doing this. 1) Wash the baby's genitals with betadine 2-3 times a day ( diluted ) 2) Leave without a nappy AS MUCH AS possible . ( i kept her OFF nappy during the nights as well ) 3) wipe the baby with washcloth dipped in WATER. DO NOT use any baby wipes. 4) If you have fresh ALOE Vera you can leave it on him for a while. and then wipe off. Its very cooling for the baby as he is in such discomfort. Hope it helps. HTH

Thnx ladies for the replies. Im thinking of changing her brand of formula. Should get Infant formula stage 1 or stage 2 , follow on milk ? im confused as i dont know if there is much difference between both. Im introducing solids now , and i already think i was late as she doesnt even take half a teaspoon of her rice cereal. She shows all the signs of readiness but when i give her a spoon she plays with it and doesnt want to eat what ever i put in her mouth (cereal and pureed apple ) :( I tried during the mornings then in the evening, its been the same for the past 2 days. Waiting for soem improvement. Thank you BFC- Im planning to Breast feed ( EBM ) as long as she wants and as long as i have supply. she feeds around 90-100ml every four hours. Her weight gain is O.K as per the doc. But I know she should start her solids soon too, as she isnt really getting enough. Sometimes when milk supply is less i would like her to take formula so I will try mixing formula and EBM. Will check with her doc. rgd the iron and calcium supplements.

Hi shjbelle, My baby is O.K with the bottle , I give her EBM most of the time as she gets so distracted while her feedings. I want to feed her formula once a while as i know she needs the extra iron now. but somehow she hates the taste of formula...

Does the baby have a stuffed nose ? This should help !!! I do the same for my bub's 1) Rub some vicks on baby's clothes ( not directly on the skin ) 2) Leave a humidifier running in the room . 3) When you take the baby for a shower - steam the washroom and sit with the baby in it for few minutes this will open his nasal passage. use Apisal ( saline drops ) this clear's the nasal passage. Do this before every feed. This should certainly help.
