I see no reason why you can't ask the LL to ensure the pool is working OK before signing. But I suspect they will just say it is. Might be a better idea to get clause in contract to state that if the pool is not working or leaking and not rectified within a certain time frame then X amount will be refundable to you from the rent monies paid. I am sure IML will eventually resolve the issue it just depends on the time frame, and if you have a clause then the onus is on the LL to push them rather than you.

IML are the ones doing the repair of the pools. Some people have had them out numerous times to sort out the leaks. I believe some are ok whilst others are still struggling with leaks after 3 or 4 visits. But I guess at least they are trying...

It is interesting to have an understanding of how your child is doing I agree, but they change so quickly, one minute it's pink the next it's Orange. And it does change very quickly. HTH's

I am in a DP one, but they too are not without problems. I think the Mazaya's held out better in the rain than DP. We are thinking of going to a Mazaya when our lease is done. I don't think they are fitted for Gas, and the Mazaya Owner manual stated that GAS was not fitted at The Villa fullstop due to safety.... all the DP are rigged up for it though... and you can get gas set up for the Mazaya. I know some people have had big problems with the pools leaking, but then others are OK. The doors and windows in the Mazaya look less damaged than the ones in DP's. I don't have a piece of aluminum that isn't marked. As with DP it is difficult to get them to come and put things right so make sure a thorough snagging is done before you move in.

you should try Helena at Landmark I know she has some and also Mohammad at Green Heights... I think Sangi on the Villa site is asking 140k, realistically people I know are paying between the 110 and 125k for A1 types... Good luck..

My DD is only in Juniors at Repton, but know several parents with kids in seniors at Repton all of whom are very happy. You need to go look and get a feel for yourself.

Depends if she needs something particular then that would be good. But if not I'd go sentimental, if you put some thought into it and have chosen something individually then I am sure it would mean the world to her. I cherish everything my DD gives me, whether it's a CD (chosen by dad), one of her little drawings or even her grumpy little attitude in the morning.

We took my mum to New York for a long weekend, it was great fun and she still talks about now and that was nearly years ago..... OMG where did that time go!!! But a nice piece of gold jewellery I am sure would be very much apreciated, I love it when I am given jewellery.

Whether it is bullying or not, it is certainly an assault on your child. I have watched teachers just standby and do nothing, maybe you just remind them that your child comes to school to learn and socialise not be assaulted, if they are not prepared to take action then you will call the police and report it as an assault. Should do the trick! Hopefully, they are on the case now and that will be the end of it.

I have been a sufferer too since a child, and have similar triggers but the cold makes mine alot more intense than the heat luckily. I have been using a salt crystal deodorant and I am able to use Bvlgari Rose perfume without any consequence. But you know how it is, trial and error for each individual. Good Luck...

You no doubt will find somebody that will transport but bottom line comes down to how confident you feel that it will arrive alive. With any pet there are risks with flying, but as already stated some breeds are at a greater risk. If you have already spoken to your own vet and they have given you the information regarding the risks involved then ultimately it is a decision only you can make. Hope you find a way to get the little pooch here safely...

I think alot of the airlines will say the same thing unfortunately, looking at the lists most US carriers won't take them, nor will Singapore Airlines. So assume that the majority of reputable ones won't take the risk. I really feel for you especially your daughter, very tough. :(

Nott 100% sure but am guessing it will be to do with it's snout and breathing, I think PUG's are in the same category as prone to difficulty breathing. But ask about I am not very familiar with the breed. Good Luck..

I used DKC and they were great. My understanding is that any livestock entering the UAE has to arrive as Cargo (so travelling in the hold) and cannot be onboard as with passengers.

Have just brought 2 Border Terriers here from the UK, all in (injections, passports, export UK side, import Dubai side, made to measure crates, flights) cost was a little over £4,000. They flew with Emirates and the handling was excellent.

Claire's quite right, the pubs in the Forest do some lovely food, you'll enjoy it. There are lots of lovely places to shop, can't remember which village has the great shops for Fudge and other scrummy sweets, I want to say Brockenhurst but not 100%.

It always make me laugh, I understand it to be a sort of holiday park but on the nicer side of them. You can camp there, they have TP's if you fancy something a little different or very nice lodges, or you can go in on a day pass.. http://www.sandy-balls.co.uk/:)

Hi no not in a tin, it is likely to be in the same kind of area as milk, it is in the refridgerator area. The tub is plastic. I just mixed grated chocolate into the hot cream with a spoon initially, then I used an electric whisk after a minute or two just to gloss it up a little.

We are also seriously considering a move from AR to The Villa when our contract comes to an end in March, we've been for a quick look round and thought it was lovely, plus you get a lot more for your money, for us sch and DH's work is closer to The Villa. However I'm not sure if I will miss the 'groomed' aspect of the Ranches.... Can anyone recommend an agent who is covering The Villa, or is it best just to ring the for rent numbers? Thanks in advance. We got ours through Mohammed at Green Heights 0509022778 also Helena at Landmark is very nice and also lives here, but don't have her number to hand....

Love it here at The Villa, we lookd at Ranches, DSO & Motor City... Have no regrets so far... I guess alot will depend on how used to the convenience you are. As Claire has said, most of us do a school run so usually have a coffee and then head for Mirdiff or MC. Can't say that it has ever bothered me. I think the location is great, it is in the middle for everything, so whether I am going MOE or DFC neither takes more than 20/25 mins... good luck...:)
