Mine is a grandmother herself. She is so energetic, patient and knowledgeable I can't believe she is 50 years old.

Hi Roisin, Just been through it, looking for a nanny for my 4-month old baby. I pre-interviewed them over the phone and eliminated the candidates which I didn't find suitable. I invited over some ladies (8, to be more specific). I made a sheet with some questions ( for my own notes, as it gets confusing after the 3rd lady). Left my LO on his playmat in the middle of my living room. The ones who ignored him were removed from the selection process. "What would you do if..." Questions were asked to check on their knowledge and common sense. Why are you looking for a job? What is your Visa status? How was it to work for your previous employer? (You would be surprised with the answers), I decided to go for someone more mature, without small kids back home and no husband in Dubai (3 of them demanded to be interviewed along with their husbands, just to give you an idea) and found someone, thank God. I asked her previous employer very specific questions to ensure it would suit our family needs. Good luck! I wish I had the choice of sending my LO to a nursery, but with my work schedule it isn't possible.

Hi there! I bought a beautiful pajama set from Matalan yesterday (for a 3 years old, as well). They also had slippers, a heart-shaped bag and a beach bag. And cheap, as well. Good luck!

Just to cheer you up, we used to fix ours with a metal nail, back on the day. Only poor people and labors would wear them. It amazes me how fashionable they became. http://elipseinteractive.blogspot.ae/2012/05/parceria-havaianas-gerdau.html

Hi Ember, I had to log in and reply to you. Exactly the same thing happened to me. My lazy boy is now sleeping, right next to me. Keep the faith, one of the doctors categorically said: there is nothing inside, the sac is empty. A week later, a follow up ultrasound showed us the little egg. Good luck! Praying for you...
