To be honest i have not set a budget yet - i prefer to keep it a bit flexible so that i buy something i consider aesthetically pleasing. Within reason, of course. Any specific shops you would suggest? Also, should i not get something for the mother, i normally get a box of chocolates or flowers but i am open to cultural adaptation..! umm no i would not, that would be too personal...any gold shops will do:) excellent, thanks so much!!! :)

I thought the Green Lakes were some of the best in JLT, how dissappointing. We are in Saba 2 and renewed our lease for a further year, a few months ago. I have nothing to complain about, the facilities are amazing and the building spotless.

Honestly?! Aquaintances have to buy gold as a baby gift? With the high number or babies born to so many married couples here how on earth can anyone afford it? Surely you'd be buying gold bangles several times a month! From family sure, but I'm shocked at the implication that a mere friend or aquaintance should buy designer branded baby clothes or gold as a minimum...maybe I'm super poor though lol! You can buy a simple gold pendant or a bracelet for less than 200 dirhams, which is the same price of a dress at mothercare..gold has a special meaning in the arab culture.. Fair enough, I was sort of picturing a big ol' gold bar :) I think it was the suggestion of Baby Dior shoes that threw me! if the gold bar is the standard over here i am willing to have another 5 babies.. If am lucky they will all come together!

Gold is expected for baby presents! it is the culture, not branded stuff! there are varieties that you can choose from depending on your budget! oh ....i am not sure i am allowed to buy gold for a client's baby to be honest....but then it is part of the local culture, right?! Why are you not allowed to buy gold for a client's baby??? I do not understand..if you are going to buy a present for a client's baby, then according to the culture, gold is expected especially something that has Quranic verses or sayings ie pendants, and that is greatly valued because that means you are giving them god's blessing in gold so to speak:)) It just may not be allowed as it may be considered unprofessional or even a form of bribery. Your suggestion sounds very appropriate though. Where can i find those jewellery and are they different for boys and girls?

It should be a bit chic TBH. The Babyshop will not do in this case. i see what you mean....should i be aware of something that may insult or alienate them, due to cultural differences?

Diamond peel facial at eternal med spa is great. A bit on the pricey side but I think worth the money for an every now and then facial. If you use the search function you'll find loads of comments from others about facials ;) great, what price are we talking about?

Ladies I know my topic is rather boring! You must have had a facial cleaning that was good enough to recommend, word of mouth carries so much more weight than pretty adverts....

Hi ladies I am looking to arrange liposuction for my mother in law and am really lost as to the choice out there. It is the thighs area and possibly a tummy tuck that she will be looking for. I am looking to find a high standards practice for obvious health reasons and hope that you can guide me to the right place! Also, would you have any idea with regards to the cost of these operations? Many thanks in advance
