Hi We just moved to Splendour villas, just under a month ago. Its a great central location with lots of schools around to choose from, big supermarkets, malls and eating places. The beaches are also very close by too. We are still exploring at the min but finding most things are super easy to reach. My kids are at JPS so that's very convenient for us. The villas are lovely and spacious, some are currently being renovated so it is a little noisy at the moment. They are doing works on the one next door to us and in the day if your at home it is a little noisy at times but nothing major. All the kids on the compound are nice and mine have been heading up to the park of an evening to have a little run around when things cool down. Its really nice having a private pool too, with quite a good garden. Having gardeners and handymen on site I find is great too. so yes over all we are pleased with our choice. Good luck with the search

Hi Ladies. we were posted in Singapore for 3 years and had a lovely maid from the Philippines with us, upon the end of my husbands contract we sent her home to visit family and then after her holiday she returned to Singapore to start employment with a new family. We returned to the UK. Now a year later we have just arrived in Dubai and are thinking of getting in some help, our old maid has encountered some issues with her employer and upon mutual agreement she's gone back to her agency still in Singapore to look for a new job. I've not mentioned any of my thoughts to her as I know this is complicated ! but is it possible/ legal to bring her to Dubai to work for us ? How would we start this process if it is legal/possible and are there any extra cost involved other than getting her a flight and the usual application process for visa etc ? Many thanks. Sam
