I was interested too and looked her up online. Her win on Food Network was featured in a 2010 Dubai College Alumni newsletter which says she graduated in 1996, so she lived in Dubai a while ago! Not sure if her family is still here. I love her personality! She's great :) she is so refreshing and so bubbly, i love her happy personality.

yes it would be nice to have somewhere that sells many different bits and pieces that dont cost the price of a small house! they have the golfie stuff, the pens, the phones, the games, the comp. dont appreciate smellies or toiletries or facial products, cant stand a massage by a man! its like hitting your head against a brick wall. i see a hard walking week ahead.

if he rings on a sat morn early again, just say go away we are sleeping and end conversation, hes getting too familiar and hes overstepping the mark, and regards water - hes earning he can buy his own, its not your problem if they are thirsty, you should not feel guilty. also your husband needs to tell him off and tell him to stop bothering you or you will be forced to contact the police re harrasement, its a male female thing out here , its not about being weak. ignore him immediately. good luck, you should be able to be confortable in your own home. i hope it all turns out well for you.

they are easy to get at rashidiya as its lovely and quiet there, but the card itself is useless as no one will accept them. ours took 2 months to get as they kept saying not ready, they didnt text with collection details, we had to continually contact them, so we had 2 months that we paid for that we didnt have the cards - collection is in some obscure post office down towards mirdiff city centre. egate can go on id cards for an extra 100 dirhams. i was told at airport this week by egate counter when i went to check why my egate card wouldnt work - i asked about id card and egate and thats what the guy at the counter said.

i know 3 people who have bought wedding dresses from ebay and they were very pleased, u measure yourself and they are made to fit your measurements and your own style from many 1,000's of designs.went to all 3 weddings and they were lovely, you wouldnt know they were from ebay. they were all under 1,000 dirhams.when one of the brides took hers for some alterations as she had lost weight, they were suprised it was mail order from ebay/china.my friends niece was looking at veils and was looking at them in sale in uk,300 pounds for the one she wanted, i recommended she look on ebay and she found exact same veil for around 50 dirhams/8.99 british pounds.they can take from 3 weeks to 2-3 months to be delivered. all were very easy to order and communicate with. i can recommend a lady here if u want one made - anne rashid - montexa - 043494037,its around the backside of dreamgirl in satwa. i think she also does ready made dresses at the bridal room jumeirah plaza.043446076 have a wonder time planning and good luck. .

if you hotel in uae at christmas be prepared to pay double treble normal costs for hotels as they put prices up to rediculous levels over christmas and new year. some are hit and miss regarding what they provide re santa etc. so ring and find out before booking. what ever you do have a wonderful time.

do you know what legally can be enforced as force majeure for delay of a building being finished, can the lack of power and water be argued as NOT a force majeure, as a generator and water can be provided if a building is almost finished. this company are trying to enforce a year delay with force majeure due to power and water not being available at this time for handover. thanks for any help.

yes what is it with the comments, i've had it in the shops - oh madam your skin is terrible or your eyes are wrinkled you should use this cream, we have some weight loss pills you should take. can you imagine saying those things to someone say in the uk if you were working in boots or cleaning for someone, i reckon a few choice words would be thrown at you or worse ps was eating in aquarium rest. a few months ago and the waitress said as we were leaving ( we dont know her by the way ) congratulations when is your baby due - as she patted my rounded tummy ! edited by fairwater on 21/07/2011

i feel the same - lack lustre here in summer, i thinks its because we cant get out in the fresh air. when i am back in the uk i walk every where regardless of the weather and that energizes me and gives me a spring in my step. i am going to watch the film enchanted on fox movies now to cheer my self up - who cant but fail to sing along to the park scene. ah bliss. :) i am a big kid at heart, when i can be bothered!

we have no kids with us when we go to phuket and we have been past 3 years to patong beach hotel, patong. its near all the the entertainment if you want it and not if you dont. hotel in pretty nice gardens, have a look online at it. its a minute walk to the beach. have a great time in thailand, we love it and are back again this year but to koh samui as we've never been there, altho i believe its quieter.
