meat branded as fondue or stir fry meat here is tough, buy steak that you would eat as a steak ie rump fillet ribeye that sort of steak otherwise you will end up with tough shoe leather. oil fondues are popular in south africa we bought a nice fondue set in @home, you can get them in most housewear stores like home centre etc we have also had (not here ) chinese style fondues where you cook fish and seafood and veg in a broth then when its all been cooked you eat the broth like soup. we used to do cheese when my kids were little with the bread but add on mini sausages and tomatoes, little mini potatoes, they loved it.

no 7 protect and perfect is brilliant serum for around eyes -lip area or on any lines that start coming now including chest area and back of hands the same day cream with factor 15 is lovely and not greasy i use the same range for eyes as it has the serum formula in it as well. and i use it around my lips too. i use soap and glory fab hot cloth cleanser to remove makeup and cleanse my skin morning and night- it has to be the nearest to liz earle i have come across. and smells diviine. i follow this routine morning and night, i dont use the night cream as i think the above is suitable for night or day. if you can stretch the budget you cant go far wrong with elemis. ( I mix and match the no. 7 and elemis.) i use the cream cleanser if i want a non water option and their gentle toners. and occasionally as a night cream or if i feel that my skin needs a break from my no. 7 cream, i use the pro collegan marine cream its divine. best advice i can give you tho is always always always use sun screen regardless of what creams you decide to use, factor 30 is suitable for this climate and i cant recommend highly enough nivea invisible spray. it sprays like an oil but its not an oil and drys to dry dry dry. its brilliant.

we were recommended anthony at outshine recently but for a 5 bed villa he wanted 350 for outside windows only and 2 windows you cant even reach. i dont think thats reasonable at all. he commented that he needed to make it worth his while to come to garhoud. we were also recommended another on here - sorry cant remember name, but they also wanted 350.

love to sing along to most things. little story re - when my kids were little i forgot they werent in the car with me - i rolled down the windows at the front and switched on the tape ( yes tape !) for their songs as i was so used to doing it - i got to the traffic lights and was singing along to some sort of kiddie song when out of the corner of my eye saw the car pull along side me and when i looked they were all smiling and shouting if i was enjoying the song - i was mortified when i realised i was on my own in the car singing at the top of my voice to kids songs. ;)

if its something you are all chipping in for why not something for them selves personally to relax like a gift voucher for a spa treat ment. that way they can decide what they would like to have. just a thought.

my husband did mba many years ago. via correspondence in the country we were living in and then he went to two residential study schools per year. he did this over 4 years. he worked full time and studied at night from 6pm till he finished 12 midnight or 1am. he took no days off apart from christmas day. we lost all our friends apart from the one who happened to be doing the same course with him. as no one wanted to call and see just one of us and we sacrificed our social life for it. we had 2 kids at the time age 2 and 3 years old by the time he finished. when he eventuallly finished and we were seen out together people would ask me who he was and when i said my husband, they were astounded as they thought i was a divorced woman/single parent :) but the end result is oh so worth it on many levels for his career. so if you can bear with him its a good time to do it when the children are small. good luck to you all - i say to you all as its a joint decision to do this as its a lot of work after hours, even its on campus and you have to be supportive for him to do it. good luck.

glad i could be of some help, its difficult to pick a car when you are single as you want safety around you as well as it too look cool which is understandable. it is a sporty looking car and is def. cool looking and i think it attracts a lot of young male followers, my two grown sons love the look of it but decided against buying it after doing a test drive. safe and happy driving what ever you choose. good luck:)

have you done a test drive of the fj? its a tinny car and altho it looks cool the finishing is poor quality, the metal look is plastic - suspension is hard and its an uncomfortable drive and its very small at the back and very claustrophobic and dark. i would recommend the pajero over the fj, but would recommend a toyota over pajero - having driven one for a long time. i had the rav 4 and fortuna as well as a 7 seater estate camry and all performed exeptionally well. good luck

oh my goodness this film was so funny and i appreciated that whole scenes werent cut just black censor strips. but i cant for the life of me understand why family in front of us took their 4 young kids to see this, it was not for children, regardless of the pg15 rating. but aside from that we laughed our socks off. will there be a no. 3 and if so what would be the plot, beardy guy getting married!;)

Good thing we all like different things otherwise the world would be boring but, for me, I thought this was the best season yet and I so enjoyed the new judges - there was no underlying nastiness this year. I also loved that the contestants all seemed to enjoy themselves so much. Even though I am not a fan of country, I enjoyed Scotty and his fresh boy-next-door look. Will be buying music by Paul (who was my fav), Haley and James! Ooohhh and loved the boys singing with Tom Jones (gosh, am showing my age now!) yes the boys singing with tom jones was brilliant i agree. i loved old smiler ( paul ) his voice was quirky, loved it.

we had a look around al waha the other day and on the way out directly on the main road side entrance to the track to go to the properties there is someone advertising their property 4 bed but i cant remember the price. but it was cheap for a 4 bed . it was a corner plot but not landscaped. it seems so remote at al waha and no signs to go in or out of it also they wont let you in to look around without a viewing or an agent.

if you like fondue vintage do a special on friday and monday nights for fondue for 2 to share with a bottle or red or white. very relaxing and cosy for two. no kids allowed in and no shorts or sports/beach gear and sandals for men. what about the cellar, i have heard that the food their is excellent and the venue is nice. the observatory for the view. neos at the address downtown has fantastic views ring to book a window table for drinks and or nibbles. brilliant views over the whole of downtown and the fountains. you will never fail to be wowed. where ever you decide to go have a wonderful time, i know the feeling when i had small kids and living away, when you only get babysitters infrequently. have a great time. :)

Would highly recommend Scarlet's if you have no kids - gorgeous little boutique hotel right next to Chinatown and only a 10 min walk to Clark and Boat Quays. Shopping in Orchard Rd (but not worth it if you are over a UK Size 10 or have big feet), Jurong Bird Park, Sentosa Island, Universal Studios (love it and def brings out the kid in you!), Botanic Gardens, cycling along the East Coast, walks, picnics - LOVE SINGAPORE! wow thanks ashes.

its on the right as you go thro shindaga tunnel yes. it is open in the day time, but the people who do things like cooking/ shops etc are only there on friday and saturday after 4pm. be warned tho friday night it is busy and bustling. sheikh rashids palace is there as is the house about islam ( very interesting and they used to give away free information tapes and books ) plus its a lovely walk along the creek with a couple of restaurants overlooking the water. i have to admit to being hopeless when it comes to directions and have no idea if its on the spice souk side - sorry. can any one else help ??? if you are buying saffron in the spice souk make sure it is saffron as they tried to sell my sister in law dried sunflower petals.!

high rise bed with space underneath for wardrobe and sofa, you can buy them with a sofa underneath try home centre and ikea. ikea do expidit book cases that are brilliant space savers as you can use them with baskets to store a million and one thngs in them. mirror fixed on the back of the door. fix shelving above the door way to hold things - use higher space. provide a folding step ladder to reach. one of our friends neighbours has given a bedroom in the house to their maid and they use the maids room as a pantry come store room.

what about the heritage centre, its great albeit busy on a friday night, they sometimes have traditional dancing, they have ladies cooking food to sample for a donation, we had our picture taken in traditional dress which was fun, lots of things to browse around. a fun and informative time out. its lovely to walk along the creek especially if the weather was lovely like last night. i cant think of anything more relaxing than getting an abra ride up and down the creek for an hour, its bliss. get some pakora from one of the little shops near the abra station just at the end of the souk. yum yum

my jasmines are in the ground and for about 5 feet from the ground just brown crispy dead looking leaves and branches, but the tops are lovely and green with abundant flowers - i dont know what to do to made the rest of the plant the same.
