i am sure irish village does brunch with breakfast stuff as well as 2 different kind of roasts, they are family friendly and i am sure they have bouncy castle and face painting on fridays. lots of grass for the kids to run around on and no one has to dress up, would give them a call just to double check.

mussels at the warehouse are brilliant and they always have them on the menu, they serve many different flavours too such as the normal moules mariniere (how ever you spell it !) the thai green curry mussels are so so yummy. they do around 6 different flavours and they are very generous with their portions - they also come served with the most delicious chips big chunky ones served with mayo. the entertainer has 3 vouchers in the family book and the fine dining - so 6 in all. friday night is fine if you go after 7pm all the brunchers are gone by then.

it can be a bit clicky and some people just want to meet up with friends they already have - i found it unfriendly, absolutely not one person, no one made any effort to chat even tho i tried to chat to people, they were only concerned with their circle of friends, i never went back. but seems like i might be the odd one out from comments made.

if you apply for passport thro the postoffices in uk, they can take upwards of 6 weeks at certain times of the year. so be aware of that if you do it thro and in the uk. if you do a one day renewal its more expensive but you can do in liverpool and london - newport has recently shut down. you have to book appt. from here 2 weeks before, turn up before opening time to que, u then get a ticket for your appt, regardless of what appt time you booked. then you wait your turn with ticket. once inside you wait for appt. then you have to go away for around 5 hours till its processed then you go back for it and its all done. but its an all day job.

i also have boxes for receipts / bank stuff etc but i file mine away in plastic folders within the boxes in date and alphabetical order that way they stay in the boxes but i can find what i am looking for easily within the box. i have my make up in a plastic set of drawers like those you find in office places or kids places cheap and cheerful, i have a drawer for differrent things ie - lip stuff in the one drawer, eye and cheek stuff in another, foundation and other things like that in another drawer. brushes tweezers etc in another drawer that way i dont rummage thro things i dont need - if i am looking for lippy stuff i just go to the one drawer. i use large rattan/woven boxes with lids for storage and side tables in my living room they double up. u can use the same in a bedroom or other things like chests of drawers in place of bedside tables ( which tend to be pretty useless.) i have a underbed rattan box under my coffee table which houses all my mags so its not messing up the coffee table. i have some great box shelves from ikea with boxes in the squares which i use for my scrapping/cropping/sewing stuff, all neat and hidden away. unfortunately you have to be diligent about being tidy to keep it tidy. does all that sound a bit sad ! :) edited by fairwater on 05/05/2011

oh october forgot to mention try to get the street and plot number of the construction site. that makes it easier for them to pin point the exact problem when you ring up. and call them when they wake you. it has to be at the time of the noise. good luck and i hope you get good results and decent sleep.

we had problems with construction starting at 4.30am of a morning last year. we were given this number to ring building noise complaints 800 900 - then press 1 - then press 2 ( this is 24 hour number ) they send out an inspector immediately. then they call you back at a reasonable time to ask if the noise has stopped. the building construction tried it on about 3 times then they were forced to stop work twice for nearly 2 weeks at a time. then when they started again they started at the proper allowed time. cant remember now if it was 6am or 6.30am till 8pm at night. fine by me. we have had no problems since.

no one should consume extra salt unless u see a doctor and he/she advises it, regardless of what web sites say. they can be used admitedly for helpfull information but nothing else. if in doubt see a doctor. in my opinion as a lay person.

when we first arrived our doctor said it wasnt enough water being drunk that caused the headaches. i wouldnt advise salt to someone unless a doctor said it was safe and nes. to do so. there is a lot of salt in the food we eat, more than enough that more added is not nes. try drinking room temperature water rather than very cold. arwa is recommended by many companies for its lower sodium content.

kids should be taken for check ups from age around 2 and parents should be gently cleaning teeth as soon as they come in, maybe thats why your little one is anxious as shes not used to the dentist. its not nice to be scared of the dentist with all the drills and needles around, but they do have lasers now with no pain and needles for teeth that are young or havent been filled before. dr michaels has paediatric dentist but cant vouch for them as mine are grown now. cant believe someone would suggest anasthetic to a young child for dental work cripes !!! good luck and heres to a happier visit next time around.

Hi ladies, A friend is visiting from the UK & she has few questions: 1. Can she hire a carseat from the airport or somewhere else? or is it better if she brings her own? 2. Does she need a Visa or she can get it from the airport? 3. Any ladies only spa/swimming pools close to Ibn Battuta? 4. What is the metro like? kiddie friendly ie with pushchair etc 5. Can you reccommend a gold bazaar? 6. any tips on what they should see close to Ibn Battuta/new Dubai Area with a baby? TIA xx u can request car seat from airport with taxis but only for that journey. u can rent most baby things from rent a crib web site delivered to where ever you are staying. metro is fine to use with small kids. lifts for buggies etc. gold souk near moe and not bad.

mina si yahi ( sorry if thats spelt wrong ) anyway when i lasst went there they had a lovely infinity pool with swim up bar, a shaded kids pool area if kids are very small, lots and lots of grass around, you can order snack/lunch at the pool or use one of the restaurants inside. very nice.

i wore a tankini type cossie as i had such bad stretch marks but i think on the beach its personal choice, so if you want to go for it then do so, relax after all you will be on holiday and cosseting a little life inside so chill out feel the sand between your toes, the sun on your skin and enjoy. :)

wild wadi over atlantis anyday, staff are brilliant at wild wadi they dont swear like at atlantis! ( our experience when our 10 year old nephew went to splash water over one of the life guards.) atlantis you have to drag your rubber rings around with you. seats are hard to find. the rides were quite rubbish, the ques to get in at atlantis awful and sullen staff. food places rubbish at atlantis. and we had cut feet from the rough concrete in all the rides and the back sides of our costumes ruined.
