Have you tried to contact Hotmail on that link given? Hopefully your DH gave an alternative email when he signed up. Does he remember? If so, try to reset it using that address (i.e. email them form there- if it's on the system it should be able to be done using that address) no as far as i can remember from 10 years ago no alternative email thats been used since then. we tried contacting hotmail but we get directed through the same format of verifications etc and asking for personal things. its a real pain. but thank you for helping.

it started with someone sending everyone in his address book details of a computer site to buy computers and since then everyones been wondering what is going on as they are now getting same spam stuff. when he went to sign via hotmail.com in it said his account was compromised and been blocked. we tried everything the link says, but that takes us to the same thing - either asking for personal details and or wont allow you to do the code thing in the box or never sends verification code. when we went to do all the secret questions etc, thats where they asked for personal card and bank info. so we guessed it was hacked and phishers looking for bank stuff etc. anyways long and short of it is that he cant sign in to his hotmail on his comp. but as he didnt log off on blackberry hes still getting them on there, so now not sure if it will affect blackberry and work emails. its such a pain as all his email contacts for the last 10 years were on there and he didnt back up them up, hopefully he can get them off bberry. its so frustrating when you cant actually email anyone or talk to a person. thanks guys.

my o.h has Seborrheic dermatitis, very itchy and irritating scaly patches behind ears and on scalp with sore red face on cheeks and chin if left untreated. for years he has been using nizoral and capasal ( capasal used to be available here but now cant find it any where, nizoral you can buy.) nizoral you use once a week and leave on for half hour or so. capasal to use daily. we are now getting a family member to send from uk as we cant find it any where here. the pharmacies will recommend other shampoos and none of them work as he has tried them all - all that works for him and our eldest son are the ones i mentioned above. if you find these dont work or others, go to a dermatologist. good luck. ps - for some reason elizabeth arden 8 hour cream seems to work for his face, his skin has never been better in the years hes been using it. he used it by accident after his face got sore one day and i gave him some that i had in my bag. <em>edited by fairwater on 25/01/2012</em>

we have an apt. at royal breeze and love going for weekends or short breaks, we are in phase 3 and the buildings are lovely - our finishing is really good, we are very pleased, we also have under cover parking, be careful which side you buy - if you buy - as the views are all different. we are looking over the sea on the left and a partial view of the marina on the right and in the middle the lake and golf course, its beautiful. we did think to buy a sea view but its quite boring as the sea looks quite grey. i reckon our view is by far and away better than a sea view. go see a few before deciding. easy walking distance are beach (newly opened and still being developed and improved) an arabic restaurant and a pizza pasta restaurant - both good ( winter times outside is beside the marina, its lovely) and theres an a&e next to the restaurants. the yacht club is right next door and the terrace is also lovely - this is licenced. al hamra real estate + 971 7 2434477 not sure if this is still working. if not try [email protected] ps great size mall near entrance with spinneys also huge mmi next door. <em>edited by fairwater on 25/01/2012</em>

Our very much loved African Grey was blown away in a gust of wind Tuesday afternoon and flew over our wall in Garhoud. He is tame, very chatty (but will be scared out his wits) and ringed. His name is Max. Grey with a short red feathered tail. Please if you hear him, or know of someone who has found a grey parrot, please let me know. We are so worried as its cold and windy and he's never been lost before. We are just devastated. Am hoping that if someone finds him, they'll be kind enough to return him! Reward. (Mods, please allow me to post in main forum for at least a few hours!) what part of garhoud did he get lost in - i am in between choithrams and emirates headquarters - if hes lost around here i will keep eye out for him

to consider in uk - heating bills gas electric council tax national insurance salary tax 20% vat petrol nearly one pound forty pence tv licence car tax and the list goes on, whats left to actually live a life on - you just cant have a decent quality of life unless you are wealthy in the uk. we went back twice and it just didnt work out - we just couldnt stand the weather and the costs to actually live a life there. we will never go back to live there now even though one of our children and our grandchildren live there.

gold and diamond souk near mall of emirates, i recently bought some earings from there and if you walk around you can bargain well. mall of emirates also have a jewellery shop near nike its next door to a childrens clothes shop opposite to the chocolate shop at the splash end but not the carrefour aisle, well anyway they are opening to bargaining as well. i think most places are open to rigerous bargaining now, sales are not exactly booming and many jewellery shops have closed in dfc and dubai mall. sorry to hear you lost yours and good luck replacing them.

empost the postal service do parcel post and courier - just go to any post office or lamcy plaza customer service area or jumeira plaza( i think if its still there) and you can request the service you want. one parcel lost once. i have also used and really prefer skynet - they are cheapest than anyone for courier they were even cheaper than empost. they collect from home or office. no parcels or post ever lost. never use dhl the 2 times i used them both times they lost important documents. hope that helps.

6 of us went to irish village - food was better than last year and last year it was good and ambiance was lovely, outside + sunshine, children playing and laughing + bouncy castle, father christmas came, lovely relaxed atmosphere and for 165 per person for food was great and the prices of drinks remained the same, so all in all a relatively cheap but fab day out. loved it.

IMO, the designers got caught up in their "biggest" concept and forgot the practicalities of its end use - shopping. I hate the place and never go there because I want to spend as little time as possible traipsing round the shops - and I like walking! I don't however, like walking from one end to the other in order to go to the 2 places on my list... oh helloagainkitty couldnt agree more.

sharjah heritage centre is lovely to walk around esp. as the weather is so good now. dont go too early morning and dont go fridays. the old souk around that area is interesting too. the blue souk was always lovely as was the corniche and the al majaz park. hatta hotel for lunch driving past whats left of big red. have a lovely time with them, i know how it feels to entertain visitors who have been many times as they still want to be entertained and there are only so many things to do especially if they are not into the quad bike, throw yourself down a sand dune type or too old to do those now. :) any way enjoy. ps if they do like the adventure type stuff - i have been on the sky trail and fly dubai in mirdiff city centre - they were interesting - phew ! edited by fairwater on 22/12/2011 <em>edited by fairwater on 22/12/2011</em>

To you too! Did you find homes for your furry friends? We are still missing our old beagle but are not sure we are quite ready to take on a puppy again. I work full time and my DH is out of the house most of the day too! thanks for asking after our furry friends - as i write they are chasing each other around the garden and after balls and around my feet - well they are not ready to go before end jan earliest - they have just had their first jabs and worming, more jabs to come and chipping and registering with munincipality etc etc ( the didnt like the injections so it took lots of cuddles to calm them down - ah shame bless them ) so we will see then, you never know you might see us with all 7 of them at the pet show :) i just realised i missed a photo op here for all my family and friends for christmas - can u imagine my 7 adorable ones in little santa hats on a card. tooooooo cute for words :) we are so enjoying that unconditonal love at this time, 5 little waggy tails that just rotate when they see us and jumping all over us, they just love being cuddled - the way they look at us when we cuddle them is just sooooooo adorable, i love it. mum is better now and over her calcium problem and her eclampsia and is now her usual perky self. shes still giving them a feed or two a day but not so long now and shes starting to push them away. they are weaning nicely. once they are off her milk for good she will be neutered as shes healthy enough now to cope with it. we have come a long way since i begged for help on here for emergency vets in october - that was a horrible and upsetting time. but all is well now and we cant be happier. :) <em>edited by fairwater on 22/12/2011</em>

i wouldnt expect it to be a public holiday like uk, in the uk we dont get eid holidays or the islamic new year for example. we are happy to book time off if and when we need or want to here. my dh is still to book his day off - he had better get his skates on or i will be eating turkey without him:)
