Thanks. I hope they can find a new place and not go totally out of business. It would be a shame.

I think they do ship to international destinations. I just checked their website.

To answer your post, I don't think Liz Earle is available anywhere in Dubai. I got mine from the UK. You could shop and ship stuff if you have an account as I do know they accept Dubai-based credit cards.

Hi Azaiba If you are looking for the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish cleanser, I have 2 100ml bottles that I am selling for AED 60 each. I got the 3 pack but sadly, it turns out my skin is too sensitive for it (and I wish it wasn't as the product is lovely!) I did have an ad on the expatwoman classifieds but can't seem to find it anymore! Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks Zimbomum! Have been looking for Dr Eva as well. Suze63 - google leads to a Facebook page that doesn't always open up. The contact info I managed to extract is : 04 3881313 747 Street27c, Jumeirah Beach Road, Umm Suqeim 2

Thank you for your input Di. You are right that the nutty, woody smell (as you put it) is not for everyone. I would not expect something labelled as organic and pure to contain artificial perfumes/chemicals. That would defeat the whole purpose of buying organic altogether. However, I am sure there are organically-sourced essential oils that smell good and could be added to the whipped shea butter to make applying it to the face a more pleasant experience. My mistake was not to ask to test the product in-store before purchasing. I think I will give them some feedback about keeping a tester pot available for customers who are new to organic skincare products so they know what to expect. Also, the magical Google tells me that it is possible for raw unprocessed shea butter to go rancid over time - Shea butter loses strength over time and can eventually go bad, particularly when stored improperly. You will know if this has occurred because it will have a rancid, sour smell. (from: http://www.ehow.com/about_5101936_shea-butter.html) Since I don't know what it should smell like, I really can't say if it is okay or if it smells off. That's why I asked again on the forum. Thank you for your post.

I bought the Whipped Shea Butter/Argan Oil from the Ripe Farm Shop today - I think I got the last pot available in store. Just opened it and put some on my hand to test it out. It is moisturising but it smells AWFUL. I can't imagine putting it on my face at all. I asked the lady at the shop if it had an expiration date or use-by date once opened but she said if the lady who makes it hasn't put anything on the pot then it must be long-lasting. I'm thinking it might not be that fresh or has gone rancid (does that happen since it is a butter?) or is it the argan oil in it that is smelly? I don't know what to do with it.

Thank you all for the store suggestions. I'll check them all out. I was trying to avoid the rubber band option as I wanted something that I could wash and reuse while I'm learning instead of chucking out after every meal.

Sun Sense Daily Face SPF 50 - Excellent and you can't even tell it's on as it has an invisible tint finish. I've seen it at most Supercare pharmacies and at the pharmacy at Spinneys Umm Suqeim.

He could take the metro.. I know there are stops for both terminals where you just walk out of the station and into the airport.

Hi Just wanted to check how you got on with the locksmith? This is the most recent thread on the subject and I was hoping to find out how much they charge and if they bring a range of locks/cylinders with them to fit your door? Managed to actually break our front-door key and it turns out the building management don't have a spare key (the landlord apparently changed the locks himself at some point without updating them) ... Would the locksmiths listed below come to the Marina? Cornish Pixie - is the number you listed also for Key Solutions?

Picnic at Safa park? The weather is lovely these days. Or try another beach... maybe somewhere down Jumeirah beach road, preferably before the Jumeirah beach park.

Thanks for the replies! I know it is amusing but my husband is fussy about the car. I'm not too bothered about spillages and the like as those can be cleaned up. I was basically concerned about denting in the seats from the car seat. I would have gone with the no shoes option but considering how difficult it is for babies to keep their shoes on, I'd rather not have my sister go through the on/off battles each time we have to get in and out of the car! I'll look into the car seat protectors in babyshop. Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. Her current passport isn't on the list of visa on arrival countries so I guess we will arrange the visa for her beforehand. The Etihad website is useless as far as visa information is concerned as their subcontracted visa service providers/agents (ttuaevisas.com) have no relevant information listed when you click any of the links! I was hoping the Green Card would make a difference as it does when travelling to other countries but I guess not.
