I bought one when I lived in the Caribbean as when my daughter turned 2 she was quite thin and would slip out from under the regular seat belt. American Airlines allowed me to use it as they actually sell them but I was asked not to use it when I travelled with BA! If it is the same kind I had then it loops over the back of the seat and fastens at the back of the tray table of the person behind you. The best thing was the safety aspect as it holds them in place for take off and landing but can be undone whilst sleeping without disturbing them. I probably used it up until my daughter turned 4?

We live in AD, we have always got the medical card for our maid from Daman but they have changed the rules this year for employers with a Dubai visa. One of the stipulations is that the [u'>sponsors[/u'> medical card must show HAAD on their medical card. Struggling to sort this out, I'm sure this is a government requirement and not just Daman but has anybody else been in this situation or used a different medical company?

I also knew nothing about Abu Dhabi so went for the school with the history - BSAK. Got a place for my daughter but couldn't get my son in so he went to Al Yasmina thinking I would move him but he was very happy and didn't want to move so we are in an unusual situation with children in different schools but it works for us. Obviously with 3 it will be easier to have them together (future) and you now have Brighton College and BISAD (all these are British Curriculum) not sure what type you want? I am happy with both BSAK and AY and the others seem fine too. We live in Al Raha Gardens. We went to look at a few and really liked the size and quality and have been here since we moved to AD. Negatives are no pool (but there are often good membership deals around) and the a/c bills! We lived in Al Barsha and the children went to school in Emirates Hills so I am familiar with both those areas and knew what I wanted/didn't want here. I did have the advantage of planning our move in advance so was able to look at the schools and submit the applications in the required time (Feb) - not sure when you are looking to move?

Yes we did 2.5 years ago. My children were 11 and 4 then. My husband also drove up every day and said he would continue doing it as both children were settled in their school but life is too short for the crazy driving so we made the big move and have been very happy. Both children are happy and I have made lots of friends. We still go to Dubai frequently, especially for the shopping but it is getting better here.

ok so after much research it appears that Abu Dhabi sports will show the premiership football but for the six nations you need Al Jazeera sports. Is there no company that has the 'all inclusive' package. Is it that unusual to want to watch both on tv? There seems to be quite a few adverts on the internet for sports packages so if anybody has subscribed to any that include the above please give any recommendations.

Etihad now has a stop at Dubai Marina (not far from MOE) and will take non Etihad passengers at a fee.

Any recommendations for removal companies, don't need to be the cheapest but efficient. Also we might have to store our furniture for the summer and stay in a serviced apartment so recommendations for storage companies too please. Ideally if one company does it all that would be great.

There will be a gym opening soon within Al Raha Gardens, not sure of price. Loads of deals coming up over on Yas: 50% off, free use of the pool during the week (various hotels).

To use the AD golf club gym you have to get the country club membership which gives you access to the pool etc., it is an annual fee but they will pro rata it from the date you join. There was a special rate for 'gym' only membership for April so you can check with them if it is still valid? I was a member there but did not renew when my membership expired as it is quite expensive and it was cool enough outside to run. Now it is too hot so have joined the Crowne Plaza Yas 1,500AED for 3 months for just me and then I pay a guest fee to take my husband and kids when they want to use the pool at the weekend.
