Try a fancy dress shop, like Mr Benns. We've bought them before (but in England) and we got them from a fancy dress shop. Give Mr Benns a ring - they are usually really helpful and it will save you a wasted journey Thanks Shamat, i will definately give Mr. Ben a call now :)

Hi Ginnee, thanks for bumping although it looks like i might end up buying them but wont know what to do with them after the dinner! i am so excited too!, i got the feathers at 20AED each from satwa, medium size, i was after the really big ones but couldnt find any, the size of the ones i got is maybe 40cm. I also got other smaller feather they were cheap, feather fans and black & white pearls. i am going to get black and white pearly balloons and have the party supplier make me towers. as for food, its all finger food, I will get few platters from the lime tree, make oy own platters and get the mini sandwiches etc from the union co. and i will decorate the table with feathers n pears etc :)

i saw some beautiful @ bed and 3 bed in executive towers with a very nice view... Al Murooj Rotana residence is my favourit place but there is a huge waiting list :(... apart of me wants to live in a villa, for those that live in Mirdff..whats good? least noisy place.. there is no metro that runs trhough mirdif right? Loft towers are a little pricey for a 3 bed :( ahh decisions decisions!

We currently live in JBR and we LOVE it. I work in Emaar Square near the Dubai mall and hubby works in Internet city, we have a 18 month old baby and we love taking him down to plaza level to play with the kids.. hubby is now changing jobs and he will be based in Diera so we are thinking about moving somehwere closer to my work... i dont know where to start looking! i want a place with a community feel to it, somewhere with a similar plaza level to JBR as i am 10 weeks pregnant and i will have two kids to entertain soon so having gardens and kids is very important to us.. also, need a place that is close to the metro as we always have family come out to stay with us and it would be nice to have the metro close by so they can go places.. my budget is 100-120 max.. and we are looking for a 3 bed.. I love the arabian ranches, but it is not very accessible... Mirdif (not sure if metro reaches the area) but i have heard it is unbearable with the plane noise...executive towers.. its a bit of a construction and not sure if there are gardens for kids to play at... any recommendations please?????

nah, a little temp shouldn't hurt anything. you could take panadol if you wanted, the only fever-reducer you can have while pregnant. Thank youuuu!!! I feel so much better now. I was a little worried.

I have a bike that I don't use, as it's a mans bike and it's too big for me (5ft3). I haven't got round to advertising it yet but it's in excellent condition (used 6 times at most) 400aed. Thanks for info jillp. DH is looking for one also but only wanted to spend 300 max. Hmmm, I could be negotiable...... Ji jillp, my husband is looking at buying a bike too, if you havnt sold it can we please have a look at it?

so part of this rewards and recognition program is rolling out "kudos" as i said we have all the material (logos etc) i just want some smooth ideas to roll it out in the office. i dont want to do posters because it has been done so many times as well as screen savers, mugs etc.. i want to have nice giveaways too!

HI, I am new to Expat woman so not sure if there has been threads previously on wedding hair and make up. So my son has been taking Augmentin for 7 long days, twice a day.. today we went to Healthbay clinic, and apparently his condition is worst.. the Dr. showed me his throat and there is white stuff!! more than before!! apparently the antibiotic didnt work!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. so now we have to start him on Zithromax, 2.5ml for 5 days.. :( i have to taqke Zithromaz capsules too to treat my throat.. did i mention that i hate nurseries and seriously considering to never send him back again!.. he went 3 days and picked up every single germ edited by fullymine on 06/08/2011 <em>edited by fullymine on 06/08/2011</em>

Hi Ladies, thanks for the msg Jules... i still have a bad sore throat, and so does my hubby.. our little one started getting better, no fever, but yesterday and today he has diarrhea... his nappy is leaking every few hours.. is it because of the Augmentin antibiotics??? !!! oh i dont know what to do!! what is happening to my son! his fever is back at 38.2 so i just gave him calpol,.. just when i thought he was getting better!! :(
