Thank you Apricot, I'd been trying to remember the name. Karkafi are really good although can be expensive as they have the option of customising the wig for you. A friend got 2 there after undergoing chemo and they both look absolutely real.

If you've searched in the usual stores and haven't found it, I'd try uae.souq(dot)com

I thought about it as the price is tempting. Then decided against it after reading a couple of reviews. It is good, however the "Spa" is only a set of treatment rooms next to the hotel's gym with no facilities. Here are the reviews: http://www.mallsindubai.ae/archives/22099 http://www.dubai-beauty-pages.com/safar-spa-at-movenpick-ibn-battuta-gate-hotel-dubai/

Also, when I was younger I loved it when I got a gift certificate for a bookshop so I could choose the books myself. But then again, my uncles were clueless on what to get me. One of them once got me a Britannica set @ age 11 :') edited by Gentle on 18/12/2013

I love all the Burnett books too. I also loved Lucy Montgomery's books especially Anne of Green Gables. On another note, my cousins have been raving about "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series- they seem to have quite a following.

What is it that you're looking for exactly? I was putting together a large gift and ordered several things from Baby Boutique (Dubai based). The order came within 2 days, wrapped beautifully and everything was lovely.

Q Home Decor have a great sale going on most of the items. Something about closing down or re-branding the store. Either way, I got a gorgeous corner sofa with ottoman for a steal.

My favorite Entertainer restaurant in Dubai Mall would probably be Carluccio's as it has a great view of the fountain. From Souk Al Bahar it is Zahr El Laymoon. I've also heard good things about Urbano. From The Palace Hotel it would be Thiptara which has great views and is very close to the show. (Fine Dining Book) This last one isn't in the Entertainer nor is it a restaurant, but is a nice spot to watch the fountains from a higher vantage point: Kino's Cafe in in Book World. Order a Chai Latte for a yummy pick me up. One pot serves 2! Enjoy :)
