LOL :) what channel is the race on tonight.... maybe i will try and watch but i get mental images of my dad grinding down his knee caps.... . edited by IzzyOnTheSeat on 23/03/2014 Not sure out here, as we've still got our BT account back home so will be watching it via that. I have a feeling it won't be shown out here anymore since they took over. The only other way I found to watch it, is one hour of highlights on ITV on Monday night :(

I usually wake up when it's still dark at the weekend. :rolleyes: what's all that about?! And we cant get up during the rest of the week? Always done this from being very young. Weekends were for spending time with the horses so I was up and about before it got light even in the summer. I could never ever get myself out of bed on a school/work day and I'm still the same now ;)

I used to buy chamomile tea from Harvey Nichols store in Dubai and they not bring anymore. Then my sister brought from UK and finished, once i tried to drink in Paul cafe it was nice. Greys Anatomy and Line of Duty TV night Off to the Jebel Beach Resort tomorrow to lie on the beach all day and maybe a spot of lunch and Saturday more people coming to view my apartment so cleaning etc I have so much tv to catch up on, need OH to go on a business trip! Viewing apartment, is he selling it and are you staying - I missed the conclusion with all that? They have been trying to sell for almost 6 months so I will get my years notice at the end of April I don't think they can sell as the buyer will want it empty immediately to move in or re-rent So many people have been round to view it. I would say 25 people so far! Wow that's loads! Are you going to stay in the Greens? I am thinking of going home ;-) Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be careful there though as I had read of someone who opened a case against the LL as he didn't give the increase as per the calculator within the 90 days and the tenant lost. The RC just looked at the calculator and said this needs to be paid. I sometimes think it depends on who you speak to at the RC at that time !!! Some of his other tenents have been trying since the end of last year to renew and still can't get the contracts they want. This has been going on for ages. Apparently he has employed a new assistant who is uncontactable by phone and email. He must be losing money hand over fist.

The landlord on our office has tried this with the, this is the rent now but we will increase it if the calculator says we can on the date of renewal. I called RERA and they said no way, 90 day or it stays the same. We were told the same and I just needed someone to confirm that :) Thanks. We're still waiting to hear from ours. He sent two copies of a letter stating that the rent would go up by whatever the RERA calculator says when the renewal is actually due. So I guess he's hoping that it will go up even more within the 90 days !!! We also received a draft contract with nothing filled in and totally unacceptable clauses. This all happened before the 90 days started. We have emailed him and sent letters stating that we do not accept the new contract and want to see another one before we sign. We also said that we didn't accept the letter as there were no figures on that either. Not a word. This guy has around 200 villas where we live and has tried this with most of us and as far as I am aware no one has yet received a contract they are happy with.

Hello Have you tried the builders merchants shops in Al Quoz There is one opposite Pan Emirates and the Red Petrol station on Umm Suqeim Road that sells weird and wonderful items. I bought transformers for spotlights from there Is it fairly obvious? Like if I head to pan and look across the road, it will be easy to spot? edited by Gummy on 18/03/2014 There are a lot of roadworks there now and you used to be able to u turn as you just went past Pan Emirates. There are a few little shops there and one is a builders merchant. Sorry I don't know the name but it is close to Pest Control If / when you go try and pick a quiet time, if there is such a thing!! Not sure you can do a U turn anywhere near that now if you're heading up towards the Al Khail Road. It is close to the back of the car registration place if that makes sense If you come down the main drag through Barsha at the back of Lulus you may be able to go straight at the lights if that makes sense Sorry, didn't realise those lights were still there.

Thanks ladies. Issue is that in Dubai it is hard to find good docs. Do any of you know a good dermatologist that doesnt charge an arm and a leg and does not over prescribe meds unless necessary. Thank you all Search for Julliane Reuter (sorry not sure about the correct spelling). I haven't used her personally, but have heard that she's very good

i know - poor child; can you imagine trying to learn how to spell that name when you are in primary school!! She was awesome; but i thought she was way older than 66. Yes so did I, but unfortunately, that what alcohol does for you. Although she was reaching her 27th year of being sober which I think is a great achievement.

I have never really liked Red Bull as a team, although I think Adrian Newey is amazing. There is too much hype going on with them and it now seems as if they must win at all costs. I agree at times about Alonso and think him and Kimi will make a good team this year, once they get going. I can see fireworks there at times. No...... I have a good feeling about Massa this year. He may not win the championship, but he will show what he can do when he's not the bridesmaid and he's taken Rob with him so that's a good sign and a good promotion for Rob. No we haven't got access to Sky, just stuck with the Beeb for now :(

oh my....... so am not quite sure what to make of that; was alll a bit messy really. And being stripped of second place, that sucks. Too right it sucks for him, but as for the team. I am beginning to think they are up to no good and want to win no matter what. I was so sorry for Massa though as I felt he could have done well and watching his team mate I think he would have.

That's right, 6k Dirhams. I was hoping to go for new unless it was a vintage 1974 watch, but there's nothing that looks decent or comes within my budget for that. Thanks for your suggestion though :) I can second Tariq, at Momentum in DIFC. I have given up with Du - never on at the right time, not always available in English and sometimes not even on at all! We downloaded Filmon free and watch programmes live on the PC (routed through to the TV). You can also 'record' up to 10 hours, providing you set it in advance, more I think if you subscribe to their HD service. I think the BBC has highlights but this better than nothing and it is on around 6pm tonight. Fairly good quality - we just have to remember about the time difference and keep any eye on what is on the schedules. [b'>My next issue is finding MotoGP as BT have bought up the rights to this - not sure which channel has rights to show highlights[/b'>. I think you may have more problems with this as BT seem to have wrapped it up completely. Thankfully we still have our BT account back in the UK and will be able to watch it all :) If I do find anything else out I will certainly let you know. Thanks GE. DH can take or leave F1 but anything with 2 wheels and he is as grumpy as heck if he can't watch it. He watches all sorts of random bike stuff on ITV4, often weeks after the event and BT does appear to have MotoGP all sewn up - tens of thousands of angry fans from what I gather. Yes you could say that. It didn't go down very well at all. The only other thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is a subscription to the Moto GP website. Not sure how expensive, or good it is, but you should get plenty of coverage. Our old lap top crashed last year with the amount of 2 and 4 wheel stuff on it :(

Did you give notice that you wanted to stay? If not, do that as soon as possible. Then sit back and don't worry. As Sarahlou123 said, leave her to file a case if she wants you out then she pays the fees not you. Dont tell her are going away though. It is unlikely the case will come up so soon but the worst that can happen is that it is rescheduled because you are away. Scaralex, do you mean giving notice to the LL? No, we verbally told her but haven't officially 'given notice' . We asked RERA about this and they said this won't be a problem I might double check with RERA though as this slightly worries me! It won't be a problem, even if you hadn't told her. As long as you don't want to make any changes it just assumes that the contract will roll on as previously. Any changes the LL wants to make must be done more than 90 days before as you already know.

I will update you after a month :) I too have been reading up and I see Dr Hasan Ali is on the list of surgeons here too . Has anybody used him and what are your opinions. he is also advertising a breast lift by Vaser , no nasty scars ! my friend had a lift and afterwards the scars were visible. She had them tattooed over ( same colour as her n@@@les and they look amazing) Eeew I'm having my coffee Take more than that to put me off my food ;-) I just wish I was brave enough to have something done :(

well yes, apart from me who some how manages to be squashed to the smallest part of the bed while the cats are sprawled out in the middle.... really not sure how that works :( We end up sharing with two dogs and the three cats some nights :(
