36 weeks is considered full term for twins so fact I'm having section at 37 weeks means their well n truly baked! 2 weeks ago they were both over 2kgs each, ha e last growth scan this week so hopefully they'll have grown a bit more. Judging by the size of my tum I'd guess they're doing just that. I hear you all with sciatica, lack of sleep issues! I made the mistake of going on a steam cleani g frenzy on Fri as decided dh has a dust allergy, I was broken yest! Loads better today though thank goodness! Just looking forward to meeting my boys and hoping my girl falls in love too!

Always comes back to the parents. Having worked closely with people 'with' money and those who are without I can safely say their morals, values and what they want for their children are on similar footing. I've seen very wealthy families insist their children work, volunteer and want them to be well rounded individuals. I've seen parents with next to nothing where putting food on the table is a struggle, ensure their children are encouraged to move forward and work hard. It's that group of can't be bothered parents that are the prob. Where either palming their children off with the latest everything is a substitute for talki.g and taking an interest. And the ones who are struggling so much they've given up and allow their kids to run wild as they don't know what else to do or how to change or again just can't be bothered. It's a problem the world over I'm just glad I've found like minded hard working friends who have similar morals and values as me when it comes to expectations on behaviour, work ethic etc...makes me feel normal and I think there are more of us normal folk than we realise.

Hi I've seen pediasure, not sure of spelling. But know my friends early twins were on it in the UK. It's in spinneys. Maybe try pharmacies too or ask your doc for advice as pre term babes over here must be fed something different.

My hometown is lovely. I've met lots of friendly people, built up a good circle of friends for me and my dd. I feel secure, I'm excited by opportunities that are available to us. I love that my daughter isn't fazed by all the different nationalities we come across on q daily basis and I thank god for the weather. My hometown is called Dubai... I'm from the west of Scotland which I love dearly and It's where my family and oldest friends are and will always be and I'm grateful I can be there while having a home here. Wherever I lay my hat, that's my home as the song goes!

Hi I was in a similar position as you regarding staying here going back to UK. From what I was told if you have been non resident for less than 5 yrs and lived in UK for 10 consecutive years you are covered. We decided to stay in Dubai for birth, having twins, so would have needed to go back much earlier with a 2 yr old in tow. The whole process here was v alien to me but now getting a handle on it all. We're at city with Dr Ibrahim and been happy so far. I also see my own doc for Reg antenatal check ups. Def check your insurance to find out which hospitals they cover and take from there as you'll need care before going back anyway. Best of luck with it all!

Hi are you using next UK site or the next uae? The next UK site only allows delivery to UK residential address. Not used the next uae site but It's all in dollars do they only want UK credit card or maybe there's a cash on delivery option?

My dd was born during the terrible snow winter 2010 and within 3 days I was out in town for a coffee. The snow didn't stop me plus I wanted to show my perfect poppet off! You'll have loads of folk to help you, everyone loves a cuddle with a newborn. Mines wore a dress in Christmas day and looked gorgeous for her first Christmas. Do what you want and feel but I'd def be looking forward to a tasty bit of food, cooked by someone else and in lovely surroundings! Enjoy! Xx

Hi all! I'm 16 weeks today! We're in process of getting gov health card and most prob will go to latifa. After moving hosps mid labour with dd1 I just want to be in the right place, also having given birth in the UK I'm not used to the set up here so not too concerned about knowing my doc as ling as they know what they're doing I'm happy. Cost is also a consideration but not the be all and end all. So delighted to hear such positives about latifa! Going through a crisis of confidence at mo!! Hope you are all keeping well and taking it easy when you can xxx

Hey Cecile sounds great. I have a voucher for a free session that I got at a mamavents event and have a friend who really recommended her too. It's so different here from UK with regards to midwives...while I never had a specific one having them come to house after birth was really helpful. I've heard of the gina ford approach and It's def good to get ideas but you'll know what suits you and what won't, a mummy's instinct is a great one too! No I'm not working which I'm v glad of! I loved being on mat leave with the dd was a lovely exciting time! Been looking at prams, had a slight obsession first time around so would like to get it right first time this time! Was looking at city jogger select, I think that's the name. But not sure whether to go tandem or side by side. Tandem more practical I guess but don't know if I like idea of not being able to see them both!! Will look into it further. We're not covered through my dh's work as we were 4 weeks too early to be fully covered. So we have to pay it all either upfront or work pays and we pay back over time. Trying to look at packages for twin delivery. Dr Elsa has been recommended ad her husband works at our drs clinic. We need to make a decision asap! Can go to latifa but we(d pay all now so trying to work out which way round is best.... I've run out if the malox, have just sent dh for more. Thunk your dh right about the sambuca smell! Best go and change a stinky nappy....the joys! Xxx

Hey I've not bought too much yet. Only moved here in jan and sold everything of my dds before leaving so need to start from scratch! so far I have one swinging crib, keeping an eye on dubizzle though, so over prices for things here compared to UK. Do you have any other kids? We are yet to get a doc....long story re medical insurance but hopefully get something sorted in next week. Just being going to clinic for routine ante natal appointments. Went to fetal medicine for scan, pretty amazing, although nearly fell off bed when sonographer told us it was 2! I've not been sick last few days bit know from past experience this might not last! Heartburn a killer too...on malox which is disgusting! Will def look for book, anything useful! Xxx

Mirdiff is quite good but I'm finding ordering online through shop and ship is best. New look online has a decent selection, mamas and papas UK have sales often, and good old ebay! HTH
